  1. I see Edmunds is still in the business of providing false statistics... and one-sided criticism... Too bad Toyota does too in the 2005 Avalon, yet nary a mention of it in Edmunds' First Drive of it.No mention about the car's safety aspects or great ratings therin. Also, I have to seriously wonder about the sub-14mpg average. I net 18-20 in my 4.0l Aurora and did similarly in a rental 2005 DeVille and a friend's 1998 Cadillac SLS with the same 4.6l Northstar over the course of about two weeks apiece. These were 50/50 city/hwy with liberal a/c usage and sometimes heavy throttle. Based on my experiences, I call into question the credibility and accuracy of such an average. This editor's theme should be Scotty Doesn't Know because its clear he doesn't. You know what? I even agree with a few of the criticisms but this shocking lack of basic research of data available on their own f@#king website kills credibility in my eyes. Jesus Christ...get a clue...and retake your Journalism 101 credit
  2. Think Grand National, not Omni.
  3. Several have come to me notifying me that they're deep in progress finishing their sketches. Therefore, the new deadline is extended until Friday, April 7th 2006 @ 11:59PM.
  4. Chicks that drive domestic are hot.
  5. Are you really this bored?
  6. One thing that escapes me about the production Compass are the fender cheeks beneath the headlamps. What the hell is the point of those? Agreed with Bimmer re: the Aztek. You may say its ugly and that's fine, but there is some sort of rhyme and reason to it.
  7. Remember the Volvo YCC concept designed by women for women? It had no hood; you trusted your dealership to tell you what was wrong. Most women I know still know very little about cars, relying so much on what magazines and such tell them. My girlfriend is an exception as she not only knows something about cars but has excellent taste (she loves trucks and Detroit iron from the '80s). You're an exception 'cause, too. Maybe another girl I know. Many of them seem to be attracted by pretty-colored lights and cute door sculpting, hence the prominance of the Jetta. However, I can't say most guys are any better.
  8. I f@#king hate those things. They're half-ass PDAs and half-ass phones.
  9. Simpsons were really funny until about five years ago. Sure, I laugh during each episode, but in the same way I'd laugh at a mediocre movie. It seems as if they rely too much on Simpsons-world references, really forced celebrity cameos, and let's-involve-all-the-characters-in-each-episodeitis. Also, the completely nonsensical gags get tiring quickly (isn't that what Family Guy is for?)? Not to mention you can pretty much tell the 'random' characters have three or four total voices. Sad. There are so many classic lines and gags I remember from the first twelve years, things I and so many others can recall at a moment's notice. ("The pride of the U.S. Air Force, the British-made Harrier jet!", "Me in a nuclear power plant...KA-BOOM!", "Work was hard, so we quit") The past half decade however is a largely mediocre blur.
  10. And differ in interior control layout, please?
  11. The link contained information sensitive information that is still legally property of General Motors. It was posted in haste.
  12. Symbols only if they're clear. I love getting into a foreign rental car and seeing... -\-* ...or something.
  13. Especially in the retail realm of sales. Remember that the LeSabre's impressively high figures came at the result of heavy fleeting.

    Texas Mile

Nice, but, uh, at least they still make the Viper
  15. On the down side, the Reno bottomed out dead last. On the up side, now more than twenty-seven people will be aware of the Reno. Suzuki should put this in the 'win' column.
  16. Look at that little darker bar above your post and note the time. That would explain it.
  17. So...does this mean I can stop making payments...?
  18. For me, its occured sporadically during the hours of 7:00PM-12midnight These issues will be solved with the C&G changeover to the new server. Expect this no later than May.
  19. There ya go. Very nice, very mean. Best-looking squad car since the Caprice. Way to go, Dodge!
  20. Its not Crossfire; this was a 13-minute piece designed to inform the general public of an aspect of GM we've been discussing for weeks if not months. I really don't know what else you expected, Rick to strap himself to a cross? Perhaps a LaCrosse?
  21. It looks like three of you if I'm not mistaken. How does another few days sound? Thursday?
  22. I won't speak more on this particular subject because its not germaine to the discussion, but you know there are two aspects - the content of his ideas and the content of his character. The latter on multiple occasions didn't help out the former one bit.
  23. Josh, you of all people know exactly why that was brought up long, long ago.
  24. Within the company, Acadia supplants Envoy XL. In the grand scheme of things, GM has two 7-seat crossovers: the Rendezvous, which is being replaced by Enclave, and the Cadillac SRX, a pretty top-heavy lineup in terms of pricing.
