When we took the Bonneville, we gave up a 1998 Regal GS. Also, my father's 1987 Toronado Trofeo. God, I miss that car.

The Impala rides a revised W-body while the Lucerne is an updated of the G-body. Two completely different FWD platforms, G being the newer and more resiliant.

There are very instances in my eyes where a spoiler enhances the look of a car compared to not having one. The 1997-03 Grand Prix and 2000+ Bonneville are two that instantly come to mind as needing spoilers.

Buicks have always had clear, legible, functional controls. My Aurora has a Concert II unit from a '99 Regal LS and its much nicer than the stock Olds Delco unit.

I wish lack of nav on the lots was the only problem with the Lucerne's debut. I won't even bring up the prolonged agony of seeing the last appealing LeSabres being sold then waiting weeks or months for the first Lucernes to trickle in. The rollout for the Lucerne blew completely. I'm not arguing that. I'm not even arguing the valid point you made above, just making sure you're aware that Navigation is indeed available now, especially for '07. Now, whether cars are ordered with NAV...isn't that the dealer's fault?
