  1. Happy birthday again, Gus!
  2. And the winners are... 1st place - Camaroman22 - 40pts 2nd place - !!!TED!!! - 35pts 3rd place – NOS – 24pts 4th place – SOLAR – 16pts 5th place – MRDETROITMETAL – 10pts 6th place – MRDETROITMETAL – 7pts 7th place – Ravenfreak13 – 6pts Congratulations to Camaroman22 for his win in this competition and to all the entrants, thank you for your submissions! Perhaps GM can take an idea or two from what we've come up with. We look forward to seeing you all next go around! Our current competition asks you to add some fire to the lukewarm Pontiac G5. Let’s see your ideas! P.S. Don't forget to browse the C&G Design Showcase to see all of our recent winners. You can be featured here, too!
  3. Welcome to Choppin' Competition #19! We have all seen Pontiac's new G5 coupe, a Canadian market import that itself is a lightly-rebodied two-door Chevrolet Cobalt. Needless to say, many of us are disappointed at the lack of effort it seems went into this car that - aside from some minor cosmetic enhancements - doesn't appear to add any excitement to the performance division. Here's your chance to change that. Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to create an appropriate Pontiac G5. Remember, this is a compact, entry-level non-sedan so keep in mind size and pricing constraints. Also, keep in mind the bodystyle will be sleek and coupelike. That is the only rule aside from the same 800x600 size guidelines. Choose any image you'd like, though we're encouraging you to be semi-realistic (GM is on a budget here), so here are some Cobalt coupe images... Cobalt @ Autodeadline Cobalt @ Chevrolet.com Interior chops are also encouraged! The winner will recieve a Pontiac-related prize! Deadline is Sunday, May 14th @ 11:59PM your local time. Good luck!
  4. In that case, I'm glad I have a real job.
  5. You have to leave the rubstrip. These clean-flanked cars look too bulky.
  6. Yup. A black Tatra 603 was for sale two streets down from me. Decent condition given its rarity and age, but the guy wanted $10,000 for it, mainly to recoup the costs of importing the car. I would've likely bought it if he asked $5k or under but, you know, what are the chances of that? There is also one in the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum, something I had no idea existed until three weeks ago.
  7. Ours cars will run until they up and die.
  8. Uh...when have they not done this?
  9. Fleet Chargers in the states also have the crappy 2.7l. I guess these cars are hot after all.
  10. There's an amount of backlash to Japanese products (including cars) in China that has some very legitimate basis. I think that's the message he was getting across.
  11. Spent time with my girlfriend, who is Mexican. It counts.
  12. I have no idea who they are...

    Alfa--Back?

They need to merge with the rest of GM Europe so I can buy and Alfa Omega. Seriously, these are slick cars. Better GM/Alfa than VW, etc.
  14. Buick needs more than two sedans and a crossover. Sorry. That's a very tepid lineup no matter how good they are. Where's the Riviera at the very least? A marque like Buick needs one.
  15. I'm not commenting on Hannity's politics, merely his assholiness. Seriously - left, right, centrist - he's such a dick.
  16. This means you would only consider German marques and... Corvette GTO SSr XLR Solstice/SKY Ford GT Lincoln Mark LT Mazda RX8 Mazda Miata Honda S2000 Honda Ridgeline Jag XJ, XK Mitsubishi Raider Dodge Viper Dodge Sprinter Chrysler Crossfire Saturn Infiniti Lexus Acura SAAB Isuzu Because everything else on the market has been rented to some meaningful extent.
  17. No response is requested. Back to the 'Bu, or need I call Harry?
  18. Like Isuzu.
  19. Both of you need to quit it and grow up. And guess what? I'm younger than either one of you.
  20. Why, yes I have, thank you very much.
  21. No Quiettuning...
  22. *cough*wtfisupwiththe2.7lthoughmygoshwhatanoldyellerofadogthatthingis*cough*
  23. I say Hannity due to his frequency. You may see a smattering of protestors at an occasional military funeral or odd media article, but Sean is on every night for an hour. They need to change the title to HANNITYandcolmes for greater accuracy.
  24. Its good to see GM is wising up in regards to rental fleet sales. Lower total amounts and a much better mix of midrange, well-equipped cars. The Impala you pick up at Enterprise is more likely to be a 5-seat spoilered, sunroofed LS rather than a white bench-seat FBI car.
