By your very example, you just showed that Lutz hasn't backed away from anything then. Its apparently always been late-'10.

Ha. Whateva... The second-gen Aurora worlds more attractive and cohesive than the chunky, odd-proportioned ES350.
-
The ES350 is a piece of crap. Faux luxury for faux people - realtors, blue hairs, ugly professional women. It ceased being tasteful in 2001.

lol Awesome

There is no excuse for a non-flowing console from anyone due to a bench seat. The LaCrosse seamlessly flows from console to stack. So did the Century/Regal. If its part of the intended design, that's one thing.

Sprayed some undercoating in my Aurora's. Actually, sounds a bit quieter now.

You'd made a blanket declaration indicting UAW workers in general as being stupid, lazy, and overpaid. Why would anyone - especially those that have met or are UAW members - agree with that? Has the UAW gone "too far?" In aspects, without a doubt. There is a need for solidarity, but the union needs to realize that GM is no longer the enemy; Toyota et al is. Making concession and rational sacrifices is a means to preserve both and allow both parties to thrive. I've said this for awhile that the union fought long and hard for the equality and benefits we all enjoy today. Not recognizing that modern health care, 40 hour work week, labor laws, safety regulations, and nondiscriminatory work practices are the direct result of union action. Society owes labor unions gratitude and recognition for it. Now, its time for the union to take a step back, realize what it has done, and work to ensure that all workers receive equal treatment. Now is not a time to be greedy and irrational for short-term gains at the cost of long-term unemployment, something certain to happen if the Big Three are stonewalled into leaving the union (GM), leaving the country (Ford), or leaving for good (Chrysler). But, guess what? I can seperate the UAW organization from individual workers who do their jobs well. And for jobs going abroad, I blame the UAW organization slightly. I also blame our government, those foreign governments who exploit their workers, and the general American population that mills about on a daily basis not caring about anything but OMG Britney, Desperate Housewives, and what's on sale at American Eagle.

That's a very ironic statement. No groupthink to SoCal? Seems nice, too busy for me. Haven't lived there; wouldn't ever want to. I see no appeal in living more than 30min from a large body of water.

lol Who doesn't do that and what's the big deal about it?

No. It would be equally stupid and perhaps more insulting. -

2010 - like most years - comprises twelve months, from January to December. Never have I seen a specific target date within 2010 before. Nothing is being 'backed away' from.

I e-mailed Mr. Lutz a few hours ago to covey our support and enthusiasm for his dedication to the Chevrolet Volt and to also ask him about mules and prototypes, specifically when will we see first evidence of the E-Flex system outside the lab and on the road (and when folks can drive them). Part of the response is as follows: "The early testing before production can legally only be done by GM people. What we will drive next spring will be crude mule vehicles consisting of cut-up last generation Malibus containing experimental battery packs. Nothing can be driven by the public before the end of 2010."

No, I have to agree with the above two rants. Its hard to get involved with a car club because it tends to mostly be a bunch of old folks with Electras meeting at Dennys and complaining about their grandkids, how much nicer it is up in New England (move back?), and how everything post-1973 sucks. Granted, this may have literally been a few seniors on their day out of the home because they weren't affliliated with any actual club or anything, but I'd almost hate to be 'odd man out' in terms of my intentions - which is to have fun, check out other cool ____s, and promote the history of cool ____s.

I've seen it in person. The detailing sucks. Simple. Interior is attractive enough, but the outside needs serious work.
