Man. I shop at the outlet mall, Bealls, and Ross. I spend less than $20 on a button-down shirt and less than $25 on pants/slacks. They all wear very well and are very confortable. Sometimes, I walk around Nordstroms or Saks and just laugh at the ugly overpriced crap people buy. However, one day I will have a tailor-made Saks suit. But for everyday clothes, its foolish to spend that much.

Headlamps are big and blimpy, like a Cobalt's. Not bad, though. Hatchbacks tend the hide the awkwardness of a compact sedan.

Perhaps in the vein of Nissan's tagline, but far less retarded? How about Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Speeders for a 9CI Impala?

Hail to the chief, thanks to Toyota Sharon Terlep / The Detroit News Link to Original Article @ DetNews.com This speech by President Bush -- who is fond of telling the Big Three to suck it up and build relevant vehicles -- is brought to you by Toyota Motor Corp. No kidding, Bush's speech to the National Association of Manufacturers Thursday in Washington was sponsored by four major manufacturers, including Toyota. "Toyota is a good corporate citizen and they want the world to know it," explained Hank Cox, vice president of media relations at NAM. The four companies' logos were prominently displayed on a billboard outside the ballroom. At least Bush referred to NAM's president, former Michigan Gov. John Engler, as "my buddy."

The Expedition is soon to be replaced and the Toyota SUVs are archaic, ancient piles.

Cadillac Introduces New "Life. Liberty. And The Pursuit." Marketing Campaign Link to Original Article @ GlobalGiants.com Cadillac DTS Following one of the most talked-about marketing campaigns in automotive history and four consecutive years of sales growth, Cadillac is introducing a new marketing campaign that aims to reignite America’s love affair with the brand. Cadillac Escalade The new campaign carries the theme “Life. Liberty. And The Pursuit.” It showcases Cadillac’s relevancy to today’s luxury consumers and supports the next generation of Cadillac’s ongoing product renaissance. Final day for entries, gentlemen...where are the convertibles?! Let me know here or via PM if anyone needs more time. -
Did the Corolla in question have a double-deck spoiler, VVT stickers, a TRD badge, and patchy yellow paint, cause that's like 150hp added right there. Seriously, its not media bias as much as it lame writing. I never take newspaper car review seriously anyway because most either bitch at everything or just regurgitate the manufacturer's specs.
-
This is so absurd because any Hyundai above 100mph is categorically unstable. On a related note, my father received a warning for going 95mph in a loaner Daewoo Leganza.

Yes. Yes it is. Awesome. Speaking of which, I keep reading places that its theoretically possible for me to stick a GM navigation unit into my car and have it work. I really want to try...'casue it would be cool.

How many times have you had to fix your car? How many times will they have to fix their Newport...er, I mean "300"? I'd rather be white trash than driving trash. Rest assured, whatever they're paying on their Chrysler (remember that you, as white trash, own your car), be it $350/month or $55/day from Dollar, its too much. You should've asked them to make you some waffles with their grille. Some bitch in a Prius actually gave me part of a lecture while I was filling up at CostCo. I guess she saw me pumping 19 gallons and she said, "If you and everyone else would buy reasonable cars instead of guzzlers like that, you'd be doing us all a favor." I told her if she's buy some reasonable cosmetics and pants that fit her, she'd be doing us all a favor. The guy on the other side of the pump busted up laughing.

Oh, how paranoid you are. I referenced that he had a Plan...in fact, its The Plan. Read into it how you will. And your second sentence makes no sense.

I actually passed on one of the last Aleros (and ostensibly, the last Oldsmobiles), one of the last 250 to be exact...#412 or something. This was only earlier this year and the car already had 58k miles on it. The chromes were scuffed badly, light scratches all over, curb checked a few times, and the leather was torn in the backseat. For $14,000 used (could've talked them down), the collector's cache wasn't worth it. Again, the Classics can be tempermental, but this is also due to owner neglect and abuse more than any flaw of the car itself. The 1995s obviously had the most problems - first year for the chassis and drivetrain, but by '97/'98 most of the kinks were worked out with extra engine mounts, stiffer suspension, etc. These are the major equipment changes... '95 - new '96 - DRLs '97 - Parallel parking mirror/compass in rearview '98 - OnStar, suspension/steering refinements '99 - two additional hydraulic engine mounts. As always, the lower the mileage, the better. Common problems I'm aware of or experienced are EGRs, fouled plugs and wires, coil packs, oxygen sensors, inop power antennas, and bad rear air shocks, all of which are rather affordable and surprisingly DIY. My car ran really poorly for about a month with a rough idle, hesitation, and crappy mileage (15-16mpg). Solution? $22 coil pack and 15 minutes of labor. Smooth as hell. I guess my final word is a solid recommendation. As they're somewhat of a cult car, current owners maintain them well. They're generally quite reliable, though most things are shockingly easy to fix yourself. A very rewarding car to own. Okay, I'll stop talking now.

I don't get it. Is he trying to get me to buy coffee, because if so, that kind of sass won't get me to.
