  1. I think we've been updating rather frequently over the past few months, especially with our new frontpage format. Instead of one Top Story every now and then, we run C&G: This Week, with a story every day or two. These are then archived in the C&G Top Stories thread for a week-by-week recap of what's been going on. As far as the Hot Topics, we try to update those daily with news that's not as 'great' as would go on the headline banner. Naturally, GM Hot Topics get updated more frequently than Other Guys Hot Topics. You can blame this week on me. I've been in the process of moving and I've finally settled down in the new house with our cable television and internet being reconnected. Expect frequent updates once again.
  2. Wikipedia's current presentation is a good template, but is flawed in so many ways, mostly unknowledable people posting 15,000 lines about some one-off aftermarket performance model they care about and 2 lines about the other twelve years of that certain car. I'm all for spearheading an AutoWikipedia (Autopedia?) under the C&G banner. Between us all, we have a bottomless vat of knowledge on all things automotive. Plus, we have enough knowledgable members to cross-reference if we don't agree on something. I'm in!
  3. Really, the should take inspiration from anything in that case. I think disappointment originates from the fact it looks like a dilluted Maybach.
  4. Guys, if you have something to work out, work it out in PM or offline completely. Let's not distract from those who want to share their creative work. Thanks!

  6. Cel...abrate good times, come on!
  7. How about efforts meant for improving General Motors would be taken far, far more seriously if they weren't focused on removing a single person from their position as if he is the singular cause of all these problems.

Northstar and Ven were laughing at the duality of PK's statement. Its is pretty funny.

I'd hope so. The current one's wood is worse than a Dynasty's.
  10. The 2005 VW lineup around this time was largely crap.

    ...

The huge dogleg doesn't jibe well at all. Maybe if the rear window continued the fender line, but then it would look even more like a Buick sweapspear than it does now. The front end is pretty overwrought and sticks out a LOT. Also, DCX shouldn't be allowed to have more than one exhaust pipe if they have no idea how to mount them in a decent-looking way. Cutouts would make the rear very appealing and less tall, but yee-Gods...

Honestly, I feel the current Tundra is by far a better-looking truck. While its soft and feminine, its inoffensive and rather classy in certain colors, more GMC Sierra than Dodge Ram, which is a good thing. This new Tundra is obnoxious, like the goofy-ass Titan and steroid Ram.
  16. The thing ignored with the 3rd row issues is the availability of a real 3-row vehicle in the form of the ESV, XL, or Suburban. I feel this point is very much ignored in these reviews. Anyhow, to elaborate on how mysterious the QX56's placement is, the thing has absolutely no road presence. It looks very cheap going down the highway, almost as cheap as the Armada.
  17. Thank you for the insight, Dsuupr. The MSRP of the Prius seems to have been compeltely spent on the Synergy system and not on any tangible qualities of the car. Its look awful from a design and proportioning standpoint, handles lousy, and has junk materials inside. No leather option either.
  18. Yeah, let's use the Survivor ad pull as a metaphor for GM lying. Whatever.
  19. A stingray. Wow.

The rear end look very disprportionate and those are the worst HVAC control knobs I've seen this side of a '95 Trans Sport.
  21. There are a few at Dayton Andrews. I'll probably check them out tomorrow.
  22. Exactly. His child throws a wrench in the entire mechanism at work here. All the talk about live it up, its your life, enjoy living is a viable option if you're not a parent. However, he is one and he acknowledges he cares very much about his child. Therefore, that must be not a factor, but the factor in his decision about which path to choose from here. Every single option has some impact on a little girl and how she may grow up. Silvester, I won't tell you about what to do or not to do or where to take your kid or what toys to buy her or whatever, but I will say one thing I learned from my father and that is a good parent always puts his child ahead and above himself and any and all costs. You sacrifice and do what you do for the child. When Sophia was born, you and your wife and everything else in your life took one step back for her. Its a penance to pay, yes, but one many surely find worthy. Remember that, and let what you truly believe is in her best interest be your compass rose in this.
  23. If its not Croc's business, its no one's business. Silvester asked for any advice and we're giving it. What he takes from any of it is completely up to him.
  24. Continue at your own peril.
