    On the Brink

Eighteen months ago called. Its wants its Jerry back.
  2. The deal with the Mega Cab is Dodge compensating for years of having a Quad Cab that still wasn't as large or comfortable as GM's or Fords.
  3. Bloated crap.
  4. Negatory, Ghost Rider. Adjuster came and went. No problem at all...seriously didn't think it was a '96 by its condition. *pride* I'm going to drop it off at 8:15AM on Wednesday and the Progressive Express Dealie office in Tampa, pick up my rental, and kiss my baby good-bye for another week or so.
  5. Actually, yeah, all Florida residents, though that doesn't mean much since most are transplants. I've lived here for 20 out of my 21 years, so I'm considered a native. Fact: Pretty much the only parts not hit on my car yet are the driver's side door, the roof, and the decklid. I don't like my odds...
  6. Just like Joan Rivers...
  7. So, yeah, the insurance adjuster needs to get here now so I can get the ball rolling on this. Sigh. Anyway, I still have parts of my computer I haven't set up since the move a week and a half ago, so pictures will have to wait a bit. They gave me the standard "Since your car is 10 or more years old, we need to look and blah blah" as if its some junky Cavalier. Sigh again.

    Acura RDX

    As if...*chhha!*
  9. I'm thinking this is limited by the availability of fuel cell refueling locations, and if you're going to limit it to three locales, choose the largest city (NYC), a city with the infrastructure (LA), and the city where you can lobby the hell out of it (D.C.).
  10. Suprised you even see that much...

    Acura RDX

Altima called...wants its gauges back. Hood prop on a luxury car. :rotflmao: And this seriously looks like a crossover version of an Acura EL.
  12. Thank you, Northie. The User Ignore feature is a personal setting and a personal choice. Therefore, your decision to use it should remain personal.
  13. The Ranger occupies three decades.
  14. Somewhere, a Q45 is missing buttons.
  15. What the 1980s and 90s may have lacked in design (as Croc stated, there are some standouts) it more than made up for in technological innovation.
  16. No doubt which one vehicle symbolizes the 1950s... Seriously, obviously the... In fact, I would say the 1959 Cadillac symbolizes the American auto industry all by itself. Big, a bit obnoxious, a bit overwrought, but beloved and timeless.
  17. Cheers and Gears @ Barrie Auto Show C&G Staff Member !!!TED!!! and his friend and fellow member Polish_Kris attended the Barrie Auto Show in Ontario, Canada today and have graciously decided to show us their pictures. 18. Three Mile Island was a mistake, yes, but not a tragedy and something that's been greatly blown out of proportion. People speak of Three Mile Island and Chernobyl in the same sentence as if that's meaningful. The radiation released from Three Mile Island is akin to everyone in the surrounding area receiving a chest X-ray. I wouldn't trust third-world nations with atomic power either because they don't have the knowledge, expertise, and training we and the Western world do. In fact, that's exactly how Chernobyl happened - an unsupervised, poorly-trained Ukranian crew not having anything more than a cursory knowledge of what to do in an emergency. Combine that with a shoddily-constructed reactor (partial-containment vessel) and generally poor design, and its no wonder there was a disaster. American reactors are designed to the most advanced specifications and I'd sooner worry about a coal train derailing or a gas main exploding than I would a reactor melting down. This country hasn't started construction on a single nuclear reactor plant since 1979. That's like never building another ocean liner after the Titanic sank or never designing jetliners because a few Comets broke up in the early 1950s or never trying to go into space after Apollo 1 caught on fire on the ground. What defines us as intelligent beings is the ability to use a mistake, an accident, an uh-oh to learn and improve and do better instead of running away and cowering in fear like an animal. Still, sadly and as always, facts don't dictate perception.
  19. Yeah, but the Yaris hatch looks bad no matter what. It seriously looks like the head of a newborn with Down Syndrome on wheels. As for the Passat, take a look at one with stock wheels. As for the M3/45, it has a big, dumpy ass.
  20. Just like that $h!box Azera. Again, I can accept it somewhat on an economy car. I'm sure something does go there. In any case, the hazard lamp button needs to be placed back on the steering column like it was for use. Its one of the least-used ugliest buttons usually stuck square in the middle of the dash. Also, BV, the Yaris is also too big for its wheels. The sedans look especially awkward. In fact, many cars today seem to have dinky wheels, like the M3/45 and the Passat.
  21. All of these are great, guys. Seriously!

    Retro

A solid-roof Tahoe Sport would be more feisable and just as cool.
  23. The taillamps are WAAAAAY too large.
  24. It sits up real high, yet has less ground clearance than GM and Ford's trucks, meaning its a truck meant for poseurs who want to look like they're real men when they drive their Ram 2500 MegaCab to their white collar job in an office park. Plus, have you ever seen a shortbed single-cab Ram? It looks hillarious, especially compared with the honest-to-goodness good-looking '94 Ram.
  25. So, is this the 'after' Tundra for current Tundra owners who keep getting sand kicked in their faces by owners of better pickups?
