  1. If anything, the Aspen competes with the Yukon. Chrysler isn't nearly there yet in prestige to play with Cadillac.
  2. I would certainly hope the LX line wouldn't have been a fad because Chrysler replaced an entire four-vehicle lineup of excellent cars with two sedans and an intermediate wagon.
  3. Little ditty...'bout Sil-ver-a-do-oh...

Because I'm a fan of lowest-possible mileage, I'd get the '04. Very little changed between these years in the non-GTP/XP trims. What trim is it anyway?
  5. Just so all you Saturn-lovers know, by 'worst' I meant that the general concensus seemed to be that the Outlook most plain, the most undetailed, and the lowest-priced of the trio. I think that speaks to simply how much we're being wowed each time a production Lambda is released, though...as well as how horrendous GM press photography tends to be. So far, the Outlook is my least favorite and it looks top notch. That's got to say something about these things! Also, be on the lookout for some great video spyshots of Buick's production Enclave coming soon to C&G!
  6. True, NOS. Last time I threw a Millenia in the wash, it came out a Protege.
  7. 1995 Mazda Millenia vs. a shoe. The Millenia gets you where you need to go. So does a shoe. However, you need to have two shoes to properly walk and you only require one Millenia. +1 Millenia Millenia vs. Shoe front leg room.......... 44.00 vs 1/4" around your feet rear leg room.......... 34.64 vs 1/4" around your feet front headroom........ 39.92 vs infinite rear headroom........ 37.60 vs infinite front shoulder room.. 56.00 vs infinite rear shoulder room... 55.08 vs infinite +2 Millenia +4 Shoe In 1995, a Millenia S cost $28,895. Shoes cost $39.99 and you got two of them for that price. Even for a pair of optioned-out shoes cost only .5% of what a Mazda Millenia cost, and you only get one Millenia. +1 Shoe Millenias have no offroad capabilities. However, shoes can be used anywhere. +1 Shoe In safety, the Millenia had dual front airbags, 3-point seatbelts, and front-wheel drive. But shoes have traction control (treads), stability control (your arms), and predictive impact awareness (your eyes). Also, while the Millenia's turning radius is 36-38ft, a shoe's turning radius is zero. Last, many people have died in Millenia-related accidents. No one outside Compton has died because of shoes. +1 Shoe Mazda sold maybe 300,000 Millenias over their lifecycle. Billions of shoes have been sold. Shoes are therefore more popular than the Millenia and it is more desireable to be seen wearing shoes than in a Millenia. +1 Shoe The Millenia uses an internal combustion engine to produce motive power. This results in carbon dioxide and many other dangerous greenhouse gases escaping into the atmosphere. Shoes produce no harmful emissions and are biodegradable. +1 Shoe Millenias were available with a pallette of nine exterior colors and three interior colors. Shoes come in infinite colors and patterns and have a silhouette of Michael Jordon dunking. +1 Shoe Shoes have been around for Millenia. However, Millenia haven't been around for shoes. In fact, the latter doesn't even make sense. +1 Shoe Nelly rapped about shoes. No one rapped about the Millenia. 'Nuff said. +1,000 Shoe Final Score: '95 Mazda Millenia - 3 Shoe - 1,011 x2 (shoes come in pairs) = 2,022 Shoes clearly embarass the puny and pathetic Millenia. Rock on, shoe.
  8. Beautiful. And remember, this is the worst one!
  9. Its not really a review; its an editorial. WSJ needs to title things correctly.
  10. But I'm a driver; I don't care.
  11. Your gas mileage argument is hillarious since that's all you whine about with your car.
  12. It would. And it is... 1995 Buick Park Avenue Ultra vs. 1995 Mazda Millenia S =Similar features +15hp +65lb/ft torque (from a real supercharger) +More room in all dimensions +6cu.ft. trunk space +Load-leveling suspension All for about $2,000 less. Also, in the practical sense, the likelihood of finding a Millenia that hasn't been trashed and thrashed by some lease-happy tool these days is very rare. The chances of finding a pristine, low-mileage pampered Park Ave is almost the way things are. Have a nice day.
  13. If the only way to appreciate your own vehicle is to beat up on other ones that don't even compete, then that is sad.
  14. For that price, I'd get a certified '05 LaCrosse CXS with 5,000 miles on the clock.
  15. All better...
  16. There's no excuse for the Aspen's shortcomings and there are many. Hiding behind the tired Tahoe=Yukon=Escalade argument fails today because the -900s are simply so damn good by themselves, much less well-differentiated individually.
  17. Wait...by FCX, does everyone mean this...? How the hell can you like that? Its like a CRX grafted onto a pontoon.
  18. Are they flexible enough to build the rest of the '07s with decent-looking front ends?
  19. 'Slightly' is not $6000. Comparing things rote dimensions doesn't tell you much more than using EPA passenger volume figures to say your car is 'roomier' than another. First, its false because roominess is a subjective trait. Second, everyone is built differently, so two people the same height may actually sit differently. Third, your assessment that the Lucerne is only 'larger' by legroom is false. Reread your own figures. Hope you're having fun.
  20. There's a stepped mode optional on the Murano, too - probably on the SL. Still, I echo what you said in your posts about the Murano's general functionality. Its pretty mediocre and nearly as bad as the Compass I test drove, except simply more powerful. Between 20-35mph, the CVT reacts worryingly slow to throttle inputs, feeling like it either downshifted or upshifted too early. The power is certainly there, but you need to really rev it up to feel it. Off the line, its unimpressive given the rote numbers. Also, I've put near 500 miles on the Murano so far, half city, half highway, and its returned 18mpg. I can do the same with my car and its 'archaic' 4-speed and 10 year-old V8.
  21. Not for the added equipment levels, not at all.
  22. For is crazy as Scientology may be, at least they're making downtown Clearwater nice. More than I can say for the city council...
  23. Essentially, yes. Comparisons like that are cute, but if you ignore inflation, they're meaningless. That's like saying "I could've bought two 1952 Cadillacs for the price of a Hyundai Accent!"
