MINI should release a witty advertisement announce its new feature: uDrive, a system in which the sentient human manually uses the automobile to act as a medium between himself and the road.
-
Wanna long-term test it? Glad to hear you're back up and running so quickly!
-
Actually, the Magnum is a very poor station wagon. I'd consider it more of a sportwagon.
-
If I get enought extra soon, they can menage a trois.

Yeah, you had me until the 'sell' part. You can take my Aurora when you pry it from my cold, dead hands. I'm never selling my car. I suppose I didn't really officially state that before, but I will never sell my Aurora. Its my first car that will be completely mine. After I get this 'ish shorted out with Progressive, my car needs a new power antenna mast and for me to reglue the passenger side window molding and that's it. She's picture perfect otherwise - pristine leather, clean carpeting, great mechanical shape, almost completely repainted. Too many memories, too much love. And guess what? Its likely completely worthless to sell at this point anyway. I know if I do trade it in, it's going to be sold for junk and parted out and this is a car that doesn't deserve that fate. If I sell it private party, the only people who would buy it are people my age and I've seen enough Auroras with 18-25 year-old driver's in my neck of the woods to know that's an even worse fate. This doesn't render a third car for the family as out of the question, though. Potential candidates include a Park Avenue Ultra or a Lucerne CXS, but that's in due time. But if you can picture a $48,000 Cadillac at this price, imagine what a CXS would be in a year...

Compare actual transaction prices and the Lucerne is a well-engineered steal.

It's Official: Commodore coming to US as a Pontiac
Flybrian replied to Northstar's topic in Heritage Marques
I think I speak for most when I say buying an Australian-built GM-owned Holden is a galaxy away from buying a Japanese built, Japanese-owned car. Not only is it supporting our company, its supporting a similar nation, one that is one of our diehard allies. I have no objection to supporting our Australian brothers just as I have no objection supporting our Canadian brothers. -
2007 DTS, looks like a Luxury III 1454 miles Heated/cooled seats, moonroof, chrome wheels, heated wheel, 4/50 factory warranty. Price...? $34,449 Linky If I didn't have to deal with my car's B.S. right now, I'd seriously, seriously, seriously consider that.

I'd accept this before that... More Buick cues is more better. Also, the interior needs a slight rework before it can be a proper Buick, namely moving the space-robbing, inefficient handbrake to the floor where it belongs as well as a less obtuse radio head unit. -
Speaking of which, I'd love to buy this... 1979 LeSabre Turbo Sport Coupe

I've seen three so far. All different. Clearly someone wants them. Also, I don't know where you're getting the impression that they don't sell every -V, M, and AMG they make, but I can say with much confidence they do. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean no one is buying them. Anyway, if you'd read the thread again, you'll see my response was meant for the 430hp comment. 430hp doesn't make a car fun to drive and what you said about those who want luxury over performance is exactly what I was saying. There's also something special about being able to hustle around four people in a massive, heavy, well-planted sedan while being swathed in luxury. Performance luxury sedans are cars that can do it all, so to speak. No, they won't beat a real sports car on the track, but you can actually live with an S600 or STS-V on a daily basis. I would never spend that amount of money on such a vehicle that felt so boring and numb to drive, like the S500 or every LS ever made. The point stands that Lexus is going to build a car that's vomiting up technology and coddlements to the point where its more enjoyable to ride in the car than drive it. Certainly, I'd love to be driven around in one, but why would I want to waste my time driving it?

This is one of those designs that will look good in twenty years. Beautiful car and welcome from another Florida C&Ger!

So, you guys are going to have to take pictures of this. Take good ones and we'll put it up as another Motoring Diversions article.

This isn't just a poor trait of the Civic, but a poor trait of many cars with electroluminescent gauges and no automatic headlamps. And while you can debate whether a cheapo compact Civic should have it or not, there's no reason for the $28,000+ Murano S I'm renting to not be outfitted as such. I'm used to automatic headlamps, but I do use the gauges as a telltale on if my headlamps are on or not. I've caught myself forgetting several times because of the 'constant on' of these gauges. So, not just the Civic, but every car with electroluminescent gauges should have automatic headlamps.

So, you've driven one? How does it ride?

Mocking the Avalon for lack of LEDs is but one more strike against a near-stricken and hillarious-looking vehicle. Sometimes, you want to kick 'em when they're down, just like Nixon.

Can one conclusively determine transfat is the direct killer of 1400 people like, say, a gunshot or a fire, or is it merely a contributor? As far as I know, ingesting a donut will not kill you, but eating nothing but them over a long period of time and sitting dormant on your couch will certainly increase the chances of heart problems that will eventually lead to premature death. So, no, transfats do not 'kill' anyone, but do play a role in an unhealthy lifestyle choice. Someone with a sedintary lifestyle that consumes large amounts of food rich in transfat will certainly die sooner than someone who has the occasional large fry or french cruller but leads an active, healthier lifestyle. Again, how do you think this is really going to be enforced if the transfatty ingrediants are still readily available to you and me as a direct consumer, just not you and me if we own a restaurant and decide to use those ingrediants?

An MCI motorcoach has 435hp, but how much fun is that to drive?760i has 438hp E55 has 469hp STS-V has 469hp M5 has 500hp S600 has 510hp All of which are almost undoubtedly much for fun to drive. Look better, too.

If 'refined' means 'large, gaping hole that doesn't match with the rest of the fascia', yeah, refined.
-
How would you even know?! Again, someone please answer my question as to what affect this is really going to have, even if passed? I still predict 'zero' because, again, you can still buy the damn food that contain transfat in the grocery store.

Lexus is so in touch. Also, the SWB versions don't have load-leveling suspensions? How cheap. As said, why would you ever want to drive this thing?
