  1. Haha! Ahh, you know what I mean. You certainly aren't a GM newbie
  2. Is this the members-only giveaway set this go-around?
  3. Let's not and say we did.
  4. Oh, my heart pines! We had a '98 Regal GS in Jasper Green Metallic over Storm Gray. God, I loved that car. Simply the quietest car I've ever driven. Don't blow out your speakers with that Monsoon! Congrats and put some pics up in the Garage!
  5. No way! Restraint. Like None Other.
  6. Ugly. Where's the el-cheapo plastic bumper version?
  7. Two wrongs don't make a right. Keep that in mind.

  9. Blackviper, since you're one of the legacy members here, I'd expect more respect out of you towards people who you proclaim to be 'newbies.'
  10. Look for something similar in nature that would honor twelve design submissions and their artists coming soon.
  11. Nissan to shift 2 cars out of U.S. Associated Press Link to full article @ DetNews.com TOKYO -- Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. plans to move production of two vehicles to Japan from the United States to save costs on automobiles produced in smaller quantities, according to a news report Sunday. Nissan will move production of the Quest minivan and the Infiniti QX56 sport utility vehicle from the company's plant in Canton, Miss., over 2008-09, Japan's Nihon Keizai business daily said. The paper did not identify its sources. Nissan said it sold 40,000 Quests and 15,000 QX56s in North America in 2005. The Mississippi plant's pickup truck production would increase.
  12. Yeah, those suck. Not as bad as the Yaris hatch, but still suck.
  13. Holy crap. This could be a transcript of a chat between Ocn and BV! j/k! Sorta.
  14. ^^The man speaks truth^^ And its not limited to DCX trannies either. My rental Murano is equally awful in its CVT. My 4-speed Olds feels far, far more spirited, or at the very least normal.
  15. We're afraid of a GTO redux. And with Pontiac teetering on the brink, can you really blame us? I wouldn't call it bitching; I'd call it expressed concern.
  16. Exactly. Even today, you hear about mass-market rear-wheel drive cars alleviating safety and handling concerns with reviews saying, "With modern traction and stability control, the ____ is just as surefooted as a front-wheel drive car." Well, by logic, doesn't that make a front-wheel drive car with TC and Stabilitrak even safer? If nothing else, that's how it looks. I know from my point of view, I could care less. Drivetrain configuration is very low on my list of 'must haves', probably ranking somewhere with rear hip room or how the trunk lining feels. Most people don't do that sort of driving to really feel the difference between the two; but people do want a confident, well-handling car of either configuration.
  17. Um, actually, not quite. I test drove a GXP around the time they came out and its surprisingly docile even at full throttle, especially considering 323lb-ft of torque coming in low in a medium-weight car.
  18. Another Mary Kay Cadillac DTS, this one somehow different from the first I saw. My God, though, its gorgeous. Not an obnoxious pink, but a beautiful pearlescent hue with classy Mary Kay chrome script on the doors. So I'll say it here, I would not be ashamed driving a pink Mary Kay Cadillac.
  19. Maybe its me seeing the XR with dark seats and metallic trim, but I had no qualms about it really, except maybe the door panels looking a bit dank. I also noted a neutral/taupe & wood-trimmed XE, but those color combinations all look the same to me. Seemed like two vastly different cars.
  20. Certainly. I just think the 300 lives off that grille and that's it. There is no brashness or attitude to follow it up in the back, just taillamps and a big butt of a bumper. Plus, the fender flares are just too much, IMO. Again, everything I hate about the 300 I love about the Charger - the smaller, more reasonable grille, the aggressively canted headlamps (something I loved on classic Buicks), the overall more matching design front and rear, and really unbeatable value. $2,000 less buys you more on the Charger versus the 300. Also, they aren't as common, nor are they as frequently blinged out in asanine ways, though that isn't Chrysler's fault. I feel this 300 is more about getting a name out there than anything and definetly more about the HEMI!!!11 than the car itself. I hope the next 300 looks graceful and luxurious inside and out in the manner a Chrysler should. Yeah, they were front-wheel drive and V6-powered, but for their time, you couldn't beat the '93 Chrysler LH-cars for grace and style.
  21. More well-thought out than the 2.7 as an engine choice!
  22. The Avalon sucks. And the Millenia < Shoe.
  23. I don't hate the LX cars as much as I think they've become overrated. The 300 lacks cohesiveness in design, the Magnum is rather plain in many angles and colors; the Charger is the winner of the trio, and it gets made fun of the most. I don't get that. I also don't get Chrysler's stupid 300 pricing structure, the presence of the hillarious 2.7l in any of these cars, and the cheapening out on things like hood prop rods and awful wheel covers on a Chrysler, their so-called 'premium' brand.
  24. Or a 2.7. Those are f@#king hot.
