  1. Haha! I actually tried to find an SE with a bench once online and could only find one. Of course, it turned out to be at the dealership where we got ours...here in Florida. Anyway, this Altima is alright. I'll probably have one for a rental at some point. Had to dodge two this go around. I really just don't find appeal in owning a car that's every-freakin'-where like the Altima is. By that fact alone, the Maxima has greater appeal to me and that car is more visually displeasing than this one. Plus, I have Flagshipitis where owning an Altima would just have me wanting a Maxima because its higher up.
  2. Heh. Its roomy and all the dash and touchables are soft touch, unlike the Altima. Plus, 75% of them aren't posuers with funny-sounding 2.5l 4-bangers.
  3. FYI, I plan on having the remaining body panels (roof, driver and left rear doors, trunk, and rear left fender) repainted at some point so the car not only looks better, but will 'age' more evenly.
  4. Sorry, you distracted me with a real luxury performance sedan in that last post.
  5. -'05 DeVille = 2006+ DTS - 275hp -'05 DHS = 2006+ DTS Lux I/II - 275hp -'05 DTS = 2006+ DTS Performance - 291hp
  6. It ain't GM, but damn it looks good with 51k miles and fresh black paint... I wish I had an extra $5500
  7. The S really looks silly with this exaggerated wheel arches. Less luxurious, more...I don't know...cheap.
  8. Recently Nissan/Infiniti cars have increasingly large wheel-well-to-beltline ratios making even 17" and 18" wheels look dinky. The Passat and Avalon also have this problem and we all know how ass-heavy those look.
  9. I noticed that, too. Its a combination of the poor lighting and the fact that half the car has <2 year-old paint and the other half - including the driver's side - is 10 years old. It actually looks fine in the daylight.
  10. Speaking of grab handles, the Freestyle I rented has the 'fancy' dampened ones that slowly return to their position. My father noticed this and says to me, "GM does this better. Their handles just snap back. That's how its supposed to be." Now, who's correct here - the rags, which bitch and moan about their testers, or him, who actually bought a car?
  11. Heh. I thought they meant directional signs. Some of it is good in theory. Some signage is overkill, especially a few we've posted here, like then signs preluding a speed bump, indicating a road is wet when it rains, directions to watch out fo parked car, or - my favorite - the signs that tell you a traffic signal is head...even when you can see the signal lamp. This is more retarded Old World think, though... :rotflmao:
  12. GM will unveil H4 concept at Detroit auto show By JAMIE LAREAU | AUTOMOTIVE NEWS AutoWeek | Published 11/20/06, 7:46 am et Link to Original Article @ AutoWeek Conceptual Artwork by C&G Member Mute DETROIT -- General Motors' Hummer brand will unveil an H4 concept vehicle in January at the Detroit auto show, sources close to the automaker say. The vehicle would be a smaller truck that would compete with the Jeep Wrangler. A production version likely would be built for the 2010 model year. GM is also working on an H3 pickup that would be available in the 2009 model year, sources say. "They want to broaden the product lineup for Hummer because they have had quite a degree of success with the H3 SUV," says Erich Merkle, director of forecasting at IRN Inc. in Grand Rapids, Mich. "The H2, in this environment, is too large. It's overkill." The H3 is built on the small-pickup architecture used by the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. It is unclear what architecture GM would use for the H4, but a source says it will not be a front-wheel-drive architecture.
  13. So many of you guys seriously suck.
  14. If size is an issue (shut up, Ocn), just try your best. If nothing else, submit your lower-sized photo and I'll see how it turns out.
  15. Total THIS!

    WTF??!

5 wrecks in 120 hours. Then, you have me beat. Good luck in all, my friend! Things can only go upwards from here.
  17. From Pontiac's website... 2006 Solstice - $20,490-$26,745 2007 Solstice - $22,115-$28,525 2007 Solstice GXP - $27,115-$30,900 From Saturn's website... 2007 SKY - $25,325-$28,529 2007 SKY RL - $29,025-$31,784 The high-end prices included all factory-installed options (chrome wheels, automatic, leather), no DIO junk like mudflaps.
  18. That post went nowhere. Back to OnStar...
  19. This should be a short thread. My guesses...
  20. You're saying the government is nosing into this analog network deal. The phone companies want to disband the analog infrastructure, the government prevented them from doing so to maintain service. Now, the government is allowing companies the freedom to do what they want. Blame the companies.
  21. Charger > 300, just for the record.
  22. Cort, enter regardless. Everyone should enter! Eleven days left for submissions, folks!
  23. Its rolled out with little to no fanfare or announcement. I don't know if its intentional like the XRS - the Corolla that was so cool no one knew about or bought it - or if it just happened that way like the Suzuki Reno.
  24. Don't blame the government; blame the companies that want to shut down the service. Read the article again.
  25. Its being soft-marketed. As a vehicle, it looks nothing like the decent-appearing concept sketches and is a traditional Kia mismatch of other styling cues.
