  1. Wow. For reference: 2007 vs. 2008 4cyl FWD - 3246 vs. 3825 (+579) 6cyl FWD - 3478 vs. 4076 (+598) 6cyl AWD - 3631 vs. 4325 (+694) Are polymer panels really that light? Bobo, those figures are from GM's press release. So...*pulls nervously at shirt collar*
  2. Your figures are pretty close to the last firm numbers I saw from a few months ago that pegged Sonata rental (just rental, not other fleet) sales at 48-49% and Camry at 15-18%.
  3. New or Classic?
  4. About the shoutbox, I don't know. About the competitions, blame me (clearly someone wants to), but I do love the shout. "AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! But seriously, what's up?" The competitions will be back on track by the end of the weekend. Others things both C&G (Calendar, LA) and personal got in the way.
  5. I'd have to go with the Jag. Its got class the other simply don't have, a pillar of emotional design and true passion in an era of bland German purposefulness and boring Japanese efficiency.

  7. Another Mitsu sales release. Time to break out The DaMitsu Code.
  8. When a vehicle that hasn't even been officially unveiled comes that close to outselling the Amanti...I laugh. Loudly and proudly.
  9. Front plates suck.

    Buick Enclave

FWD is standard on the Enclave with optional AWD, just like the Acadia and Outlook. Fall more in love with the coming V8 option (probably) a year after intro in an Enclave CXS and Acadia Denali.
  11. I know many G-bodies tend to exhibit a slight front-end vibration felt through the steering wheel around 60-80mph. Its some design thing and nothing dangerous, but slightly noticable yet it fades away above 85-90...or, um, so I've heard... Congrats on your Lucerne, though. Glad to hear that problem was fixed and welcome to the forum!
  12. The Altima is this decade's Maxima, which means the Maxima may become this decade's Stanza.
  13. Way to go, Ridgeline. Or, more accurately, way to not sell so much. I'm still surprised the Corolla outsells the Civic. Oh wait. I know why. We'll pick you up.
  14. There are some people who threw up more times during November than Infiniti sold Q45s.
  15. Oh, no, Avalon...we suck again!
  16. Ugly. Wait. Not ugly. What's the other word? Oh yeah... Absolutely Beautiful! '97-03 GPs are among the best looking modern Pontiacs period. Yours just makes them look better.
  17. Another little thing I'd like to mention are the accessibility vans. Many of you probably don't see them with the frequency I do, but many older and otherwise handicapped folks have CSVs (and older U-vans) with the Sit-N-Lift seats. The hospital where my girlfriend works has a fleet of ten Montanas and quite a few retirement communites have Uplanders with the seat assist add-on. You never see a Ford or Toyota/Honda van so equipped and not often a new DCX van.
  18. Simply put, its far easier to clean one source of pollution than clean 1,000,000. Retrofitting stack scrubbers or using more expensive, less soot-resulting coal isn't easy or cheap unto itself, but its more economically-viable than doing to the same to a metro area's worth of automobiles.
  19. A vehicle like the Montana/Corsa Utility would do very well stateside. With midsize trucks continuing to grow large, the Ranger is the only true compact pickup in the US today. Imagine, if you will, a US-market Chevy Montana ranging from $8995-16995, the former having a washable vinyl interior and no options and the latter 'loaded' with a turbocharged DI 2.0 Ecotec shooting out 260hp through a Getrag six-speed.
  20. Picked me up a carton at the Indian reservation... Goes down smooooth. Its Our Flavor Country.
  21. See the media bull$h!? GM CEO shoves protester. There's video of it out there. Watch it yourself. See who's the real prick here.
  22. For those who have no idea what Hogans_Heroes is talking about (from Winding Road)... At the conclusion of Rick Wagoner’s speech this morning at the L.A. Auto Show, two protesters from Global Exchange climbed on the stage and demanded that the GM Chairman sign a contract that stated: Wagoner did not sign. At first, the GM chairman looked confused, as if this person was an official with the L.A. Auto Show. Wagoner then said that his speech did that very thing. The man with the giant contract, Mike Hudema, moved off the stage, where he had an interesting discussion with Don Fuller from MAWG. Fuller is a contributor to Kelley Blue Book. (Fuller’s bio from MPG indicates that he’s also an expert witness for defense in Lemon Law cases and has helped defend a wide range of manufacturers.) They were discussing the protester’s claim that GM should not have “killed the electric car” because there was a demand that was not served. Fuller argued the other side of the argument, that GM built the cars at a great expense but there was no demand for them. Here's a video clip of Don Fuller arguing with the guy... Basically, the guy is living in the past.
  23. MAZDA MAKES STRETCH MARKS SEXY WITH NAGARE CONCEPT
  24. Our 2000 Bonnie has this... ...and my Olds has that. My assumption is that your right hand on the -V would be on the stick, but I do love the rotary dial. Brilliant.
