Actually, I see the opposite. As CreativeVision said, it matches up well with the chrome piece over the license plate and the contrasting clear/chrome and red of the taillamps and GMC script look nice. But, I digress...

Hyundai Sonata <--This is #1. The rest are in random order Nissan Titan - Like, Khruschev, it was going to bury us; like Khruschev, it failed Lexus GS - a tepid entry in a hot segment Hyundai Azera - big Elantra looks and Hyundai parts bin buffet Acura RL - where's the beef? Toyota Avalon - over a decade later and it still can't match a Buick Chrysler 300 - take away the Hemi and no one care; Charger is a more thought-out car VW Jetta - overpriced, underperforming, underbuilt, and ugly Kia Optima - like the Sonata, who cares but Enterprise? Toyota Camry - another overrated generation
-
Hundreds of thousands above the $30k range have had no issue with these taillamps for a decade.
-
Well, its beats "Paris Hilton Flashes Photogs" as if someone hasn't seem them yet.
-
Its probably throwing off a DTC0086 code - "Kill Me Now"
-
Good for the Optima. Like anyone but Enterprise cares. And yay for the AURA. And, guys, this is the XE everyone makes fun of! Also, I have an issue with the 'Gotta Have It' factor.

FOR RELEASE: 2006-12-20 General Motors Announces North American Debut of Four Global Concepts Celebrities Carmen Electra and Mario Lopez Also Confirm Attendance at GM Style DETROIT – In addition to an array of classic GM Designs, including the 2006 Camaro Concept (an instant classic) and the 1951 Buick LeSabre Concept (an iconic classic), four global concepts never before seen in North America will “drive the runway” with celebrity guests including Carmen Electra and Mario Lopez during January’s GM Style. The Holden EFIJY, Chevrolet T2X, Chevrolet WTCC and Opel Antara GTC will make North American debuts on Jan. 6, 2007, in a pavilion on the Detroit Riverfront and then featured in GM’s exhibit at the North American International Auto Show the following week. These four vehicles showcase GM Design’s creative talent from four of their 11 studios around the world. "Collectively these concepts represent GM Design's global vitality, while capturing the spirit of the brands they represent,” said Ed Welburn, General Motors vice president of global Design. "Great design transcends borders, and these award-winning GM concept vehicles are proof of that." The four vehicles have arrived in Michigan from all corners of the world and are being primped for their Detroit debut along side some of Hollywood’s most notable stars. Carmen Electra and Mario Lopez have confirmed they will join previously announced Cheryl Hines, Vivica A. Fox, Petra Nemcova, Danny Masterson, and Rachel Zoe at GM Style. With an impressive body of work that encompasses television, film, comedy and theatre, Carmen Electra has emerged as one of Hollywood’s most versatile personalities. Most recently seen on the “Dancing With The Stars,” Mario Lopez is a veteran of numerous television series including the popular sitcom “Saved By The Bell” and FX Network’s “Nip/Tuck.” About GM Global Concepts: Holden EFIJY – Unveiled at the 2006 Australian International Motor Show in Sydney, the Holden EFIJY is a wild 21st Century “hot rod” reincarnating one of Australia’s most famous cars, the FJ Holden. EFIJY is a radical pillarless custom coupe boasting V8 power, a Chevrolet Corvette underbody and state-of-the-art automotive technology throughout. The ‘Soprano Purple’ paintwork highlights its curvaceous 5.2-meter (17+ ft.) body, reinterpreting the classic design cues of the iconic 1953 FJ Holden. Chevrolet T2X - Developed by the GM Daewoo Design Center in Inchon, Korea, and unveiled at the 2006 Seoul Motor Show, the Chevrolet T2X combines the body of a compact sport utility vehicle with the exciting design of a sport coupe. The light silver body of the T2X has a bold, masculine front with prism-style headlamps. Its taut yet emotional surface is highlighted by a dynamic side character line that rises up toward the rear. With 20-inch wheels that are situated outside the vehicle's body, the T2X has a very athletic stance. Chevrolet WTCC – Developed by a GM team around the globe, the Chevrolet WTCC Race Car Concept was first seen at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. It is the vision of a new generation of touring car -- a design icon that bends the present World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) regulations. Opel Antara GTC – With its four-wheel drive Antara GTC (Gran Turismo Crossover) Concept, Opel demonstrates just how dynamic and athletic an SUV can actually be. First seen at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt in Sept. 2005, the three-door design shows a particularly sporty interpretation of an SUV. Viewed from the side, attention is captured by the frameless windows that drop right down and contribute to the coupe-like silhouette.

Business Insider Now that's thinking inside the box The Detroit News Link to Original Article @ DetNews A Web phenomenon was born when a Saturday Night Live skit starring Justin Timberlake hit YouTube in the past week and Detroit auto brands Cadillac, Hummer and Ford went along for the ride. The skit featured Timberlake and another performer singing a randy love ballad entitled "D--- in a Box" in exaggerated 1990s boy-band fashion. The two sing about making a gift for their girlfriends of their male anatomy, which appear to be wrapped in strategically placed boxes and topped with bows. SNL bleeped the word in question 16 times during the broadcast a week ago. But an uncensored version was soon posted on YouTube and NBC's Web site. The video was viewed more than 3 million times last week on YouTube alone and was the subject of a lengthy New York Times article. On NBC's Web site, when you click on the uncensored clip -- after verifying that you are 18 or older -- the video pops up accompanied by rotating corporate ads. Cadillac, Hummer and Ford were among the sponsors. Whether intentional or not, the ads seem to work well in tandem with the SNL skit. "We're giving away a big surprize every day" reads an ad sponsored by Ford and iVillage, which is touting a chance to win a new Ford Edge crossover. (Insert your own Hummer joke here).

Lincoln also unveiled their new slogan... How 'bout Lincoln? As in "If you miss Oldsmobile, How 'bout Lincoln?" Doesn't matter anyway. Its not like Lincoln ever brings these things to life. -

The nice thing about SMARTs is that if one is in a parking space you want, just pick it up and move it. P.S. Dear DCX, Use something called capitalization. lowercase letters aren't cute; its just lame. -
There was, in concept form. It was powered by a 175hp version of the Ecotec and looked similar to the Intrigue 442... Of course, there was the OSV Alero with the 3.5l Shortstar generating 245hp...

Edmunds Evaluation: Ford Expedition v. Chevy Tahoe
Flybrian replied to Variance's topic in The Lounge
One big thing noticed after seeing all of these variations on the road - the Suburban looks purposefully-designed; the EL appears to be an afterthought. But as many people have said already in this and other topics, this is really like choosing between medium prime rib and medium-rare prime rib - you're getting a winner either way from vehicles that are heads and shoulders above anything else in their class...if you can even consider anything else to be part of this class. -
I will never see eye-to-eye on this based on three different Corollas I've driven.
