  1. Simple and nice. I see you're preparing for next year's calendar
  2. The sad thing is whoever bought it will never drive it. Taking a vehicle you paid $5,000,000 for out on the road is stupid, almost as stupid as paying $5,000,000 for it in the first place. The '54 Olds F-88 was a one-of-a-kind car, unique to its time, significant because none were made before and none were made after. It was never made available for production, never replicated as a kitcar that can be purchased and built today. If it sold for 'only' $3.2 million, whoever bought this is a dope, especially when you can buy a knockoff for, what, $25,000. Sorry, but that's just how I feel.
  3. Most recent I have is from mid-2006: Retail | Rental Fleet | Total CTS 22,953 | 3293 | 26,529 STS 11,378 | 433 | 12,004 DeVille/DTS 20,766 | 8751 | 31,383
  4. Forgot to add, I checked pretty much immediately and no, they don't have one.
  5. Land Cruiser. At least that's what somone who saw it happen said it was. This is my second parked car accident and I'm just whatever. Went into Sweetbay (grocery store) to get a few things while I was over in Tampa and I come out to see my front end smashed with the hood crumpled up. One lady said she saw a "big Toyota Cruiser SUV" pull out pretty fast. I asked if it looked cheap or expensive, she said expensive, so its a Land Cruiser. I called the Tampa Police who sent an auxillary officer to inform me that they couldn't do much without the tag, real witnesses, etc. He said my best course of action would be to report it to insurance. Riiiiight. That went so well last time. In any case, here's the hit point total this time: I'll need a new hood, new hood latch, and bumper cover repaint/repair. I looked online at a few local places and the prices ranged from $Call to $400. I narrowed it down to two good potentials - a 1995 "BLU" Aurora and an OEM primered one from a 1999. The primered one costs $300 and I assume the painted will be less. Depending on condition and if its my blue, I'll just get that one Monday. If not, well, I'll get the primered one Monday and have the salvage yard help me mount it and get it painted later. I guess I could be really pissed at whoever did it. And, boy, I am. But I don't know exactly who did it, so why waste my time getting all hot and pissed at some phantom Toyota? In any case, this all happened about two hours ago. What a lovely start to the weekend... P.S. For those keeping score, I think this is #6.
  6. I'd put her over Obama because of name recognition, her attitude, and her personality. Obama is still a big unknown in many regards and may just be a flash in the pan as far as any of us know. And at this stage, if she gets the nomination, I'll probably vote for her. The '04 primaries really showed that frontrunners can change at any time. This is going to be one helluva race this time. First non-incumbent election since '28.
  7. Good to hear your father's okay. Toyotas can go back to hell where they came from.
  8. There's a 2005 Bonneville SLE, Vibe, and LaCrosse CXS left at the local B-P-GMC lot. Of the 2006s, most are CXS trims of Buicks, Vibes, and Savanas but those are work vans, so not a big deal.
  9. The big difference is the CTS is an evolution of a dynamic and groundbreaking design. You knew Art & Science would be the mantra, but not to what extent. With the C-Class, you know its going to be direct translation of the S-Class' styling with no originality of its own. Once you've seen the flagship Benz, you've seen them all.
  10. Currently, we have a basic section of tabular information accessible by clicking the Resources & Guides link on your toolbar. Your suggestion is a great one as I think we all have frustrations trying to find specific information on certain topics. As we find accurate sources of information as the year goes on, we'll compile it and present in what will likely always be a more user-friendly format and announce it here.

  13. Thank you, BigPontiac. That clears things up more. I still call B.S. on the 'Gotta-have-it' factor as I did in C&Ds comparo of midsize sedans including the Aura because it represents subjective nameplate affinity crap , but since the spread is consistant in the objective categories, I understand better how it scored.

  15. 5th out of 8 isn't an accurate look without knowing the numerical point spread and regardless of what it is, people are either too lazy or too simple to understand what that means. That's a general comment on the analytical skills of our society.
  16. GM will offer new incentives to move '05, '06 vehicles Jamie LaReau | Link to Original Article @ Automotive News | January 19, 2007 - 2:33 pm DETROIT -- General Motors is telling auto dealers that it will unveil an incentive program today that will put customer cash on 2005 and 2006 models and offer more salesperson incentives under the Mark of Excellence program. GM has not released details, but a memo to dealers this morning says GM plans to offer $750 bonus cash on all 2005 and 2006 models through Feb. 14. It also will offer a $200 salesperson bonus and a $50 sales manager bonus on all 2005 and 2006 models sold through January. GM's regional dealer councils have recommended this sort of program to GM because sales are typically slow this time of year, says John Rogin, owner of Rogin Buick in Livonia, Mich. A program like this allows dealers to support sales staff during slow times, he adds. "Cash on the hood to the sales staff moves the car," Rogin says. "I'm thrilled that they put the salesperson and the sales manager in the loop. It needs to be done more often and continually." Rogin has only one 2005 model left and about four 2006s, but he said dealers in the Southeast have hundreds of 2006 models in inventory.
  17. Congratulations and welcome! Be sure to post some pics!
  18. Shows what a piss poor publication this rag really is.
  19. A better deal is the $17,500 s/c 2007 Grand Prix GT with 5k miles I keep seeing on eBay.
  20. I Love What You TSB...Toyota!
  21. Ann Coulter wishes she had a rack like that. And I was with Sixty8 until the fat chicks comment. Yeah...
  22. I believe this has been fixed for awhile...?
  23. Ford doesn't want Toyota's quality problems.
  24. 2007 Sequoias. That's got to be, like, thirty cars, yeah?
  25. That's the stupidest Flintstone piece I've yet read...
