  2. In no sense I am taking credit away from GM, edmunds has found little something about a good car from GM. Yes, the good cars of yesteryears from GM are bad compared to what we are seeing now, edmunds has certainly softened some.
  3. Which one have they tested? XE or XR? The powertrain is certainly XR but there are far too many mentions about XE. But a decent review. Good job GM!

  5. Ideally I would like to see GM's incentive drop below $500. But I do not think it will happen anytime soon. I somehow do not understand how these so called analysts seperate the incentives from the price which the customer has bargained down to. But certainly credit goes to GM for this change of tide. In addition the import humper #1 edmunds is being a bit soft and actually giving good words about GM.
  6. http://www.thecarconnection.com/Auto_News/...192.A11746.html This geriatric senile individual poops through his thoughts not his hiney. See him get philosophical and more naive than ever. I hate this media banging. His gripe, GM's quote that most people drive 40 miles everyday to work and from that he built his ignoble thesis.

    3-door BMW 1-Series

How can someone buy this expensive, spartan junkbox, just because it is a RWD? I think Astra, Focus are better looking and better choice.
  9. Nice exterior. But the interior is disappointment. It kinda looks cheap, may be because of the image quality. 4 spoke steering wheel for a 3-series competitor, puhleeze!!. Also powertrains are disappointing. When Infiniti, Lexus, BMW and now Caddy are gunning past the 300-hp barrier for the top of the line engines, MB retains its "anemic" 272 hp 3.5l and same about the other engines. I do not think MB, who wanted the entry-level luxury crown will get it anytime soon. I will give it 6.5/10 as my initial impression.

  12. I like this vehicle. Although they have toned it down, it still looks aggressive. As much as I not a fan of a wagon I have always admired the magnum.
  13. This is a very good thread. I used to stick it to neutral while decelerating. But one of my friend who drove in European rallies told me actually to downshift. Even though you think that it will end up at higher revs, as Turbojett rightly said, it actually helps the engine to match the revs and for a slight moment increase the fuel economy. I have seen people follow both these practices and still retain their clutch. So I think when it comes to wear and tear it depends on how much you push your vehicle to its limits in an unscientific manner. :AH-HA_wink:

    Saab Story

Good 1. I wish 9-3 was given more spice up. It is showing its age. I have driven my friend's 9-3 and it is a blast with a 6 speed combo. I hope they keep their bread and butter vehicle innovative and add the deeply needed Viagra to it.

  20. I have not seen one 3-series as a matter of fact any entry level luxury sedan carrying 4 people on the road. Most I have seen is 3 people, two in front and one in the back. Entry levels in my opinion are not family haulers, just like a generalization they are mostly for single and couples with entry level luxo money.
  21. Probably when the 08 models start coming in.
  22. Navigation Screen looks cool. Totally different from the other popups.

  24. I agree with 68 that Caddy in US should not have a FWD or FWD-biased AWD. I think Caddy's should be totally RWD. I like Lutz Idea of bringing a 1-series competitor. It would be like a cat among pigeons especially cars like Mazda3. It priced around 20k-25k I do not see why it will not sell well partly because it will be a bit expensive than the similarly sized FWD cars and partly because it is a very entry level vehicle..
