  2. You are right it is an IP based system. The part of it is not being close to the capacity but being "undercapacity". Both the providers are not able to gain the number of customers they were hoping to. It is like buying a baseball size field to play tic-tac-toe. I think XM has 5 geostationary satellites and sirius has 9 in turn. These relay signalls alternating so that no matter where you are in the country at least one has to be above you provided if you are not in a basement or a tunnel. The grainy-ness is usually caused when you are jumping through the satellites or are under high rise city buildings where they are putting booster antennaes to enhance the capacity or in a valley. Theorittically the way the systems are setup you cannot get loss of signal when you have decent signal even if you are operating at the maximum capacity. Absolutely! I think what it may trigger is the death of satellite radio if they increase price or anything. But at the same time it will open up competition for a smaller player with better ideas.
  3. I agree with you FOG. I always felt Ghosn was like a fart in the wind. His only advantage is that he is aggressive. That is it. He is not a visionary or thinks long term. He wanted GM for the amount of RD and its technology especially the 4x4 and flex fuel capability plus some pie from the hybrid mode system which GM was sharing with DC and BMW. As a matter of fact that can be another reason why GM does not want other manufacturer to buy Chyrsler considering the amount of money GM has invested with DC and BMW for the hybrid systems. That will be like a free pie to the new manufacturer.
  4. I will help you out. Here is the link. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06353/747147-28.stm
  5. Congrats on the truck. We need pics. Doesn't the Z71 off road package come with 18" wheels? Atleast that is what I configured on the Silverado.
  6. I think SRX should live on. It is a worthy mobile given its not so tall stance and a competent chasis. GM just does not get it. If they had used the killing the least selling products. Cavalier would have got a replacement in less than 23 years. It seems like two extremes. Beat a mare to death which was a miling cow in the past or kill the infant which GM thinks is impotent either ways it puts the sales down. I really want to see at what rate GM keeps these current products fresh.
  7. Weren't those the same "Anal-ysts" who predicted GM to die by the end of 2006 and Toy to surpass GM as #1 automakers by the end of 2005? My point is those people are number junkies who do not know the inside of the company and its day to day handling. I think Chrysler spinoff is a great idea. Chrysler has a lot less to worry than GM regarding liabilities and different brands. All it needs is the focus on good products, leveheaded marketing and a sound tag-line. It will far easier to steer the Chrysler ship than SS GM which is showing sighns of coming out of troubled waters.
  8. THE CAR IS CHEVROLET CORVETTE OR CHEVY VETTE There is more fun of whooping a Ferrari with a "Chevrolet" Corvette than just a Corvette. That car is still a crowd puller into the chevy dealer and whatever leverage chevy has to its history. I know Camaro is coming down the road, but Vette is the Flagship of Chevy brand and it should be.
  9. Satty, That book is not even on sale. Pathetic!
  10. The rear 3/4 looks awesome. I agree with Bobo that the front gives a vibe of an S2000.
  11. The interior looks picked straight up from the A8. Exterior greenhouse looks charming but the front is too trivial.
  12. Max Biaggi (FIA Motorcycle Champion)
  13. I extend my support to you and your family. I heard it on my way to work. It is terrible. Let GOD give you strength through this tragedy.

  15. How can you change the darn thing?
  16. Which means my CPO TSX will have warranty that will expire at 65,000 miles instead of 62,000 WOW. I am SOOOO excited (sarcasm)

  18. Diamler and Kirky boy screwed Chrysler big time. Chyrsler was better off before the "merger". The only good thing which came was the LX platform which was essentially the old E class revitalized. Everything else has been a failure. The interiors are shabby. The new vehicles like the Jeep Compass and Chrysler Aspen were total lack of imaginations. I mean come on guys, don't build a vehicle for the sake of "expanding the line up". They discontinued the sedan called Neon and built the caliber with no sedan potential? They should know better, that no matter what they want to bring as a new type of vehicle body in to US sedan should always be a forebearer. Is it not why Jetta is here in the US? Mazda was smart to bring the 3 in Hatchback AND sedan version. It felt like everything Diamler did was screwing up Chrysler. They jumped into the foray of employee discounts in 05 and in 06 when they did it again no one cared a squat. I wish Chrysler can stand on its feet again. Let it be a smaller company. Chrysler should attack the foreign brands. Remove the Vans from it. Make all of the vehicles rear or all wheel drives. Dodge should be in competition with Chevy, Toy, and Ford. A full line scale. And let Jeep be the Jeep. Take those lady-boy crossovers off. Bring off road prowess with some good diesels, stickshifts like the Jeeps of the yore. Honestly Chrysler should bring the MC-412 and shove it in Diamler's a$$. Show the Germans like the Vette that their so called sports cars and super cars are overweight, overpriced POS.
  19. Although I like the only engine being a DIESEL and with 6-speed tranny. That seems a blast to drive.
  20. Is it me or the Holden wagon gives me the vibe of the Bumdai Sonata?
  21. Gross
  22. Yeah cuz if they would have had been in the wreck, they would have given excuses. But finishing last is Moving Forward. Anybody noticed where Mr. Columbiana finished? 19th. A good F1 driver!
  23. Good job GM. But the onslaught should be brutal. Let not Toy come back. This should be on the TV with the ending saying --> "They watched us" But at the same time they should not over do it because that may give a big brother bashing a smaller one (in terms of sales here) Ads like these should be subtle and hilarious. Good work GM!
  24. The side profile of the wagon reminds me of my boss's Audi Quattro wagon.
  25. It looks quite heidious from the sides.
