  2. Clickety Not Impressive Weight Buddy, the LS7 is 458 lb for a honking 7.0L. Although it is a OHV compared to the million part motor that BMW V-8 will be.

    Huge Epiphany

Mechanically rotating engines are good, stoichiometrically, they are difficult to control. That is why they have been not as advanced compared to the common piston types.
  4. May be GM is in talks only for "Lotus"

  9. Here is an interesting link. A massive 478. WMJ is correct. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GMC_V6_engine

  11. That's what happens when you want numbers (Recent comments of Audi's CEO of becoming #1 luxury brand). You become a whore and loose originality and start dabbling. One company which belies that is ofcourse the Toy, it is a whore, lacked originality from the start and still wants numbers.

  13. Come on Paoli, a buick fan like you should know it better. Silver in person looks a bit toned down, cell phone pics might be the reason.

  15. The way it looks like, GM may end up with three or four RWD car platforms. 1. Zeta 2. Sigma 3. Alpha (Or whatever the proposed small one is called) 4. Solstice Platform Zeta will be the main platform as comparable to our dear ol' W-bodies with lots of vehicles on it. Sigma may occupy the niche. CTS, STS, may be one or two Caddy Crossovers, and some other niche cars. Alpha may be the smaller Zeta.
  16. It seems like GXT is a Horn-dawg and Toy evangelist coming here to convert the GM tribe.

    Hyundai Veracruz

http://www.hyundaiusa.com/vehicle/veracruz/specs/specs.aspx Straight from the horse's mouth. (Hyundai. Cargo area is 6.5 cuft). I guess your peception might be different. The other numbers are also similar. Are you trying to say that the numbers are wrong? Then I guess there is no point in explaining.

    Hyundai Veracruz

Here is the comparison. http://www.carsdirect.com/research/compare...0,USB70GMS242A0 You are right about the Leg Room, for the second row as the Acadia lacks it by about 1.5 inches. But about 0.6 inches of headroom less than the Veracruz and you say it sucks? How much more you need, like 10 inches? Look at the third row and you can see where GM invested the room. In addition hip rooms and shoulder rooms for Acadia are far greater than the Ver. And oh! with three rows still there Veracruz has storage volume of the size of a Miata trunk (6.5 cu.ft), while Acadia's storage is comparable to the Crown Vic (19.7 cu.ft). Now you can see the 11 inches of difference. When you have seven people going, in Veracruz, 3rd row people will have to sit with their bags on their laps. Not for the Acadia.
  19. I could not agree with you more. People simply cannot perceive CTS as a 5 series fighter, just because it has the size. It does not have a V-8 as a high end version to compete with the bread and butter Mercedes and BMW V-8's in that class. The V is coming no doubt but it will be congruous to the M-3 and C-63 not the E-550 and 550i. Car magazines are still comparing it with the 3 series and G-35, so it is hard to think we can call it a 5,E fighter. STS does need to be there and also should have a more powerful version of the Northstar V-8 and also the 3.6DI V-6. And Caddy needs to be unique to BMW and Lexus and MB and Audi, by offering a DTS, hell 70K of annual sales for a FWD is not a bad idea, just put it on a modified EP-II and we have a cash cow.
  20. I am not in love with this design. Previous one looked better. I think they kinda went too off the track in the bulbuous front end.
  21. So Nissan's philosophy of high performance is ugliness? Those rear air diffusers, I wonder how much help it will give for the car's stability, they just look to me as all show no go.
  22. That car has a presence. Everytime I see one it makes me do this.
  23. Ahh so much cribbing about the Pontiac Nose. He is biased (LOL). Overall a good review. I cannot wait to see the production G8. Hopefully 2009 Impala should pack same punch and that will be my next daily driver, with my TSX getting the boot.
