  1. I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but I actually LIKE the Pacer. I don't know what it is...something about a dorky car that looks kind of like a frog. Plus all the glass would let in a lot of natural light, which I think would be kinda pleasant.
  2. I started thinking the other day, "What would the American auto industry be like today if Chrysler hadn't bought American Motors way back in '87?" Nowadays, the American economy could probably benefit from having a fourth automaker. Obviously AMC was in some deep crap twenty years ago, but as I've read, some analysts believe that the company would have turned itself around had it not been sold to Chrysler. The company had to continuously innovate to compete with the Big Three, plus they had Jeep...so what do you guys think would have happened to it by now?
  3. I'm surprised anyone really believes the crap MT puts out. The magazine reads like propaganda.
  4. The Lexus "F" series. Further compounding Lexus' already convoluted vehicle titles.
  5. Just the fact that people felt the need to publish and release the video online seems to me like an offhand way of saying "Look at what GM did! Shame!" At least slightly, I could just be used to hearing negative press on GM.
  6. Those things are going to be in some horrific traffic accidents. I can see the headlines now: "Hummer drives over Smart".
  7. True...peanuts...but broke guys like me look at a thousand dollar rebate and go "Well, now..." If I had the money to buy a brand new vehicle, this would definitely sway me a little closer to Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep.
  8. Truly a great day in General Motors history.
  9. *clears throat* BRING A BUICK ASSEMBLY PLANT BACK TO FLINT! Seriously, build the Velite here or something.
  10. I like the Nassau. It looks pissed off and hungry.
  11. Those environmental morons have thorougly convinced me to go out and buy the biggest, most gas-hungry vehicle known to man and leave it running in their driveway. Locked, so they can't turn it off.
  12. They barge onstage and Wagoner's the prick, huh? Sure he was short with them, but, uh...can you really blame him?
  13. Nashville based? Is Nashville how you say "Tokyo" in English?
  14. Oh my f**king god...my eyes. My wonderful, useful eyes...they're ruined!
  15. Just so long as they don't pull an Oldsmobile on Buick.
  16. This is more than a little ironic.
  17. "When better cars are built, Buick will build them." That phrase is proving as true today as it did sixty years ago.
  18. Hah. I like the Olds ad the best because it reminds me of my car ('95 Olds 88 Royale).
  19. Does the current Impala and malibu have a soul? very little. 216749[/snapback] True, maybe they don't have a lot of soul, but there are plenty of American cars with enough soul to make up for their lack of it.
  20. I imagine that all the emphasis on quality that GM is about these days is taking some of the starch out of Toyota's pants. I think everyone is going to have to rethink common claims that a.) American cars are no good and b.) Toyota will overtake GM as #1 automaker I can't wait for these products, but what I really can't wait for is when those pompous morons who've told the world for years that American cars suck have to eat their words.
  21. You're absolutely right...but along with looking dated, I think the Tundra looks really pretentious too.
  22. Wow...if GM keeps this up, they'll be able to foil Toyota's plans for world domination. Now if only Ford and Chrysler would follow GM's example...
  23. My girlfriend's getting a Wii...me on the other hand, I won't be spending any money on video games until I can get a new car. Also, I'm broke.
