  1. Isn't that a good thing? I think most cars' fuel tanks are mounted under the rear seat.

    GMC Envoy?

Not a fan of the downward slope of the suspension, but maybe they'll work it out on production models. The interior looks solid.
  3. It's dangerous for the rider, too, when his or her face smacks into the dashboard during any crash exceeding 20 mph.
  4. Cleary, a case of stacking the deck... in GM's favor. http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif

    Car Spotting

Saw my first Solstice on the road today. Apart from the hideous front license plate mount, it looked absolutely gorgeous in silver... much better than the MX-5, IMO.
  6. More... Nor are they traditional "column mounted" shifters, though...
  7. I like the New Viewt... looks like a caricature of the original S-type. Its interior matches surprisingly well with the exterior.
  8. No, I'm talking about interior quality and accomodations. Both are pretty ho-hum in terms of interior style.
  9. Good observation... I thought it looked like it was missing something: I don't know... my reactions to the Lucerne are mixed. On one hand, it looks like a modern car with a proper interior.. it also has competitive pricing and substance, but on the other, its bland and sterile.
  10. I would honestly prefer to spend time in the Spectra's interior than the Cobalt's.

    Saw a new Civic Today

I've seen several so far... interestingly, all of them were coupes. The EX models look pretty good with the alloys.
  12. Yeah, from the outside at lower RPMs, our 5 makes this strange whirring, fan-like sound. The 01+'s with the newer 3 liter motors seem to have changed that.
  13. I used to dislike the FX35/G35 exhaust noise, but now I've grown to like it. Our 528i sounds pretty good, particularly right after the GM slushbox shifts from second to third at ~4500 rpm... it's a very crisp change in tone following a good pause, almost like a flappy-paddle M3. As far as V-8's, GM's LSx engines are a bit too monotonous in the midrange and up, IMO... they sound the same from 3000-6000 rpm, only differing in noise and speed. The Northstar motors are more interesting.
  14. The vertical trunklid cutout is too square, making it look almost like a Monte Carlo.
  15. Hyundai's brand image isn't any worse than Pontiac or Mercury, IMO. If their product was appealing enough, I wouldn't hesitate buying a $25K car from.
  16. Its styling is a bit backwards, but no more than, say, the LaCrosse. The interior is pretty nice as well.
  17. Eww, looks like... an orange roadster with aftermarket wheels, spoilers, and vents. Yuck.
  18. Dem fuel efficient pusherod vee-sixes... ... are hopeless without a tall final drive.

    TOYOTA=LIARS

    Best, article, ever.
  20. No, its just the red tint that makes it look red.
  21. The CX looks horrible, IMO... its just a formless blob of car. Only the CXS with its 18" wheels and maybe the CXL look decent. This is one of those rare instances where GM photography looks better than "real-world" photography. The tan/black interior looks promising, though.
  22. What about roadster v. sports car? Corvette and Solstice are sports cars, IMO. The Miata is a roadster. The Boxster is kind of a hybrid... a speedster?
