  1. Wow-o-wow this is looking good.
  2. Actually he said it had a first-rate simulation of quality materials, not interior. :AH-HA_wink:
  3. Wow, I really like it. It's far more original and creative than any other mainstream family sedan. Like all Chryslers, the interior is cheap looking, but at least it's well designed.
  4. Yeah..... We've seen them so often that it's almost accepted as fact that GM cars get MPG magically higher than EPA ratings.
  5. Yep. What's more important than anything now is clean electricity. Making hydrogen for a fuel cell car requires tons of energy to split hydrogen from oxygen. Wind and solar are the ways to go... two of my neighbors have installed solar panels on their roofs, and apparently, they can sell any excess electricity back to Edison.
  6. The Trailblazer, Grand Cherokee, and 4Runner sell not just because of their towing or off-road ability, but also their inherent coolness and machnoness. Young males like them because they're not as motherly as, say, an Equinox or RAV4. I'm happy with crossovers like the RR Sport, Cayenne, and X5, because they look beefy... not fragile and "on stilts" like the Highlander.

    Best Oil?

Whatever is cheapest or on sale. Usually that's Castrol Syntec or Valvoline... also Costco has a 6-pack of Mobil 1 for $29, which isn't bad.
  8. No; I think evok confused this test (side) with the IIHS frontal offset crash. The Impala (tested in SS spec) got an "acceptable" frontal rating, compared to the LaCrosse's "good" frontal rating.
  9. It's "safety for the masses" then.
  10. A mesh grille and drug dealer wheels would make it quite hip. In many ways, a blinged out LaCrosse reminds me of the old Jag XKR.
  11. It's an S10 with a different front clip.
  12. Another source to consider... the Camry hybrid is averaging 37 MPG here: http://www.greenhybrid.com/compare/mileage/
  13. LOL at the two gulp-sized cups.
  14. No one mentioned the Accord but you, and the Accord isn't the only family sedan that exists. The Camry hybrid has a 0-60 time comparable to V6 competitors, including the Ford 500, Chrysler 300 3.5, Pontiac G6 GT (and Grand Prix GT2), Mazda 6 V6 (mt), and Chevy Malibu LT (all C&D data). That's also identical to last year's Camry V6. If you expect to feel the difference between a 5A and theoretical 6MT Accord hybrid, you won't be getting anywhere close to EPA MPG figures.
  15. Edmunds does 0-60 consistenly slower than everybody else. R&T did it in 7.3, C&D in 7.7, and M/T in 7.9. Those are certainly the performance figures of an average V-6. The Accord EX V6 starts at $27,850... Yep, a CVT, for performance and fuel economy.
  16. Apart from the smallish trunk, this seems to be the first no-compromise full hybrid. It has the performance and price of most V-6s, but the consumption of a 4-cylinder compact.

  18. Um... why? How about a proper engine instead of a $8K cosmetic pack?
  19. What you've seen and what exists are rather different.
  20. Ferrari F430 with a Ford six-speed automatic and HV 3.9L V-6.
  21. Thread with more details... http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...?showtopic=9654
  22. Yeah, slander is oral. Libel is written.

    Hydrogen car jumps gun

What's the advantage of converting clean electricity to hydrogen compared to running on clean electricity alone?
