  1. Yep, yep. I'm 6' and my sister is 5'9". I have to move her seat forward to drive.
  2. Impala, Malibu, HHR, LaCrosse, and Grand Prix drivers... because all tourists have no idea where they're going and drive 13 MPH on Mulholland.

I never got THE FUSION OF AND DESIGN TECHNOLOGY or whatever.

    BMW 330d diesel

Considering the '07 Duramax and other HD diesels will be able to pass CA Tier 2 Bin 5 emissions, I'm sure BMW can do it with a smaller 3-liter. Merc's CDI Blutec is clean enough, too, but the EPA doesn't recognize the technology, so it's 45-state-only.
  5. Silicon Valley Takes On Detroit CBS news video
  6. This is awesome... http://www.teslamotors.com
  7. The next worthy domestic car will be a Californian car. I'm convinced that people will buy American, just not from GM or Ford. We won't let the imports out-Silicon Valley us!
  8. I use them everday, so yes. They're also really useful when cooking.
  9. Yeah, I think the 5 is a genuinely cool vehicle, and I'm struggling to understand why it isn't catching on, especially when dealers are advertising them for $16,995. Sure, it could be more powerful or better made, but besides that, the only explanation I know of is that most don't want fun in practical vehicles (?)
  10. Well, to counteract high gas prices, I've, uh, went beyond petroleum...
  11. The ION styling was ahead of its time. Too bad it didn't have the Cobalt's refinements.
  12. The new "summer sale" Caddy ads going around don't have Zeppelin, and they're boring and unoriginal.
  13. Merc's new 5.5L 382 horsepower V8 replaces their 5.0L V8 for MY '07, and the Lexus V8 has been upped to 4.6 liters and 380 horsepower in the LS. The RWD Northstar isn't class-leading, but it's still competitive. There's much more to a car than horsepower figures.
  14. Ehhh... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7PIIzLu50w "This has to be one of the worst chassis I've ever ever come across. There's only one word to describe this car. It begins in S, ends in T, and it isn't soot." And Car and Driver on the 9-3 Aero: "A steering rack with less friction and more feedback would heighten our enjoyment. Body roll and structure flex distracted us with vibrations through the seats and floorboards. Over bumps the 9-3 stepped heavily with hard impacts that sent quivers through the body."
  15. Now it's "restore the balance."
  16. Here it is... It's almost Philip Morrisesque.
  17. There's also a rather pathetic "Everyone likes a good story. But that doesn't make it true. Get the facts!" banner ad going around, that links to a June 1, 2006 GM response to Thomas Friedman, as well as a Who Killed the Electric Car rebuttal, mixed together with "facts" on ethanol and FlexFuel vehicles.
  18. How about reskinning the Astra TwinTop with Velite bodywork? It oculd very well be Buick's halo car.
  19. Agreed. The Cobalt should first get a hybrid variant before a heavy V6.
  20. Interestingly, the 3308 lb 200 hp GTI gets 25/31 mpg.
  21. Looks like a Chery. I'd rather have a MINI or Rabbit.
  22. They revised it. The VUE Green Line tax credit is now $650. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/tax_hybrid_new.shtml
  23. I still prefer the Avalanche or the current Denali.
  24. That's odd... I've never been in an acceptable P-B-G or Chevrolet dealer.
