    BEEF JERKY

The salmon jerky you get from Alaska is pretty good, too.
  2. GM car/trucks already have bulletproof drivetrains. Upping the bumper-to-bumper coverage to 4yr/50K would be more useful.
  3. That's true... it makes it seem all Hondas are loaded with standard equipment. Ditto Acura.
  4. Now you're just making stuff up. I could buy a ML320 CDI right now in Vegas, drive it around in CA, and re-register it once it reaches 7,000 miles.
  5. The Q7 and Escalade are actually very similar in length and width... just not height.

    07 Tundra pics

Center console and center stack look cool from that angle.
  7. I know they come from a smallish company, but all BMWs are individual orders, either by the dealer or a customer who has put down a deposit. We did that with our 5-series six years ago, and it took slightly less than three months. If you really want to screw things up, order a 7-series in green-beige with the most obscure of options, and then cancel it once it arrives.
  8. My guess is that it will be "sealed" and have a "lifetime" fluid, like with the GM 5L40-E in our 5er.
  9. The GL, Q, QX, Escalade, and Navigator were all new/redesigned for '07. Next.
  10. BS. The QX's gotta-have-it-factor was even lower than the Escalade's.
  11. And anyway, the question is whether or not BlueTec diesels are clean enough, or is it because the EPA doesn't recognize the technology. I believe one concern is whether or not people will refill AdBlue. edit: Following a Duramax Silverado today and its trail of black smoke, I'm glad the '07 emissions requirements exist. Fuel economy/CO2 restrictions limits are debatable (global warming), but localized pollution aren't. I still remember the "smog days" at school when we had to stay indoors... that sucked.
  12. ??? All other 45 states still get the diesel...

Looks like a Chery or something.

    Lexus GS350

Damnit. At least it's an "08" model.
  15. Maybe in MN... but certainly not here. Toyotas and Hondas are equally blue-collar for hard working people and their hard earned cash. People are normally loyal to brands that treat them well, like my 82 y/o grandpa and his 15 yo 3/4 ton 200K mi Toyota truck.
  16. Funny, I drove the Quest and greatly preferred the Ody. Our '03 feels biblically quick, like dangerously quick, especially if you floor it and have just one person on board.

    Lexus GS350

Okay, I'm normally not the one impressed by Lexus, but I just found out about the GS350 through an US Open ad, and I'm definitely impressed. You have to give kudos to Lexus for their relentless pursuit of leading the segment, even if their attempts fail in the eyes of experts. They're almost like the desperate fat kid in school who will try anything to become respected, like offer more horsepower, more room, or more technology than anyone else. Lexus is an overacheiver and you have to respect them for that... Anyway, the point I was making is that they'll do anything, even if it means cannabalizing some of their older products. The $44K GS350 has 303 horses, or 13 more than the $53K GS430. They both do 0-60 in the same 5.7 seconds, yet the 350's fuel economy is significantly better (21/29 v 18/25). Then of course, why couldn't Lexus give the GS430 their 380-hp 4.6 and eight-speed auto? Losers.
  18. Hm, is there a way they can track you down if you use a wi-fi or proxy service?
  19. Any suggestions? Preferably legally, if such a thing exists.
  20. Yeah, the SS sedan he reviewed is definitely nice, but it's also definitely not worth the $21K. GM should make their basic models adequately "nice", because that's what most people buy.
  21. The '06 Prius got better interior materials, though they are still rather cheap for a $21K car.
