  1. Then the Aura, Fusion, and Camry look more like a 7 or 8 year old BMW. Or Volkswagen.

    JUST FOR FLY

Hyundai and Kia are good at making updates to cars that nobody ever notices. For instance the Sorento now comes with a 260+ hp V6 and stability control.
  3. I like it. It's more conservative than the Civic's, but it still distinctive. It makes its competitors' interiors seem dated by comparison.
  4. I hope they only do the Camry (LE 4-banger) when the new Accord comes out.
  5. Porsche always have the entire Petree Hall to themselves in LA..
  6. Watch it here: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/11/saturn-...paign-launches/ Btw, "Rethink Asdf" is a bit "SHIFT_asdf", no?

    535i BMW

Really? I found the new A&S Cadillacs very polarizing. They certainly weren't beautiful in a traditional sense (sweeping curves, loads of chrome, pulled-back proportions, etc), but eventually I learned to appreciate its complex mix of creases and angles. I looked at the CTS from the designer's point of view, and then gradually understood why it's the way it is..

    535i BMW

Beauty is based on what you're used to seeing; something drastically different often causes a knee-jerk reaction. The 5er design was ahead of its time, and after so many years of conservative BMWs, I wasn't prepared for the surprise.

    535i BMW

I didn't like the '04+ 5er at first, but then I learned to appreciate its unconventional beauty. Three years down the road, it arguably looks fresher and more original than newer cars like the M, RL, or even the 3er. It's odd... once you start to think like the designer, it all starts to come together. Then you're like, "I can't imagine it any other way!"
  11. BTW, their website is so much better than the US one..
  12. Very nice. I love the silver SportCombi. The whole appearance is very clean, subtle, and Scandinavian. Definitely icy cool.

    6.0 v.s. 5.3

I would get the 5.3 once the six-speed auto becomes available.
  14. Really? EPA passenger volume: Jetta: 91 cu ft Corolla: 89 cu ft But then of course, based on passenger volume alone, Hyundai says their Azera is bigger than the 760i... I guess it all depends on what your definition of "big" is.
  15. Under "Pros:" for the Nitro, CR put "None." Ouch.
  16. No, the Jetta is bigger than the Corolla in nearly every way, except for maybe height. And the Corolla is longer than the Mazda3 and Civic....
  17. They serve different purposes. A diesel will always burn fuel during stop-and-go traffic, and a hybrid will always use less-efficient gasoline power on the highway. A diesel-hybrid, on the other hand...
  18. European combined cycle MPG figures are always overrated. For example, an '08 BMW 550i gets 15/22 on the US EPA test but 27.4 combined imperial MPG on the Euro test). And the '08 Jetta TDI meets Tier 2 Bin 5 standards without a urea treatment.
  19. Car and Driver does it on most the cars they test... however decibels depend largely on testing surface and do not reflect sound quality.
  20. The SportCombi looks great. Yellow, on the other hand...
  21. Another thing... I thought GM is starting to charge more as they close the product gap with new releases. A better theme is probably "better cars at the same price", as evidenced by products like the Lambdas and GMT900s. The only cheap Chevys left are dated cars like the old Impala, Malibu, Uplander, Colorado... their "better" products are priced right with the competition.
  22. God, those are horrible. They just show a POS Impala LS, wheelcovers and all, driving on a treadmill in front of some screen. No creative energy at all.
  23. The point is, the VUE really isn't a "cute ute", but rather an over-engineered German SUV that happens to be on the small side. It may have poor fuel economy, but it's also a lot higher quality.
