The plant in Oshawa IS AMAZING! A few years ago, for the intro of the new body style Grand Prix, 7 of us from my dealership took a limo up there. We were treated to lunch, had the full tour, and then the pleasure of driving back 7 Grand Prix (some still under wraps). We made quite the sight on the highway (Oshawa is about 4 hours away); people were turning trying to see what the heck these 7 new cars were. It was cool.

Satty, i love ya man!

Nice, ummmmmmmmmmm, tripod. Your stylings are so realistic - didn't we already know that Blu doesn't have nipples?
-
First of all, Sixty8 - you little bugger - you've left us hanging on a cheap sheep F***ing scotsman joke! HOW RUDE! Secondly, I propose that all of us who are heterosexual should at least celebrate something! Maybe if we aren't going to get a day off work, we could at least celebrate Cleaning Out the Closet Day. That's right, take a look around your home - don't you seriously have some closet space that could be arranged a little more efficiently? Another alternative to Cleaning Out the Closet Day would be to just randomly out people whether they're gay or not. I'm really thinking of doing that to the guy who sits in the office next to me. He can't really protest NOT being gay without appearing to be homophobic (which is a bad thing) so either way, I'll have a nicer shoe closet, or drive a co-worker crazeeeeeeeeeeeeee! It's all good.

Satty, you have a rare talent for reading people's posts and then recreating their likeness on MS Paint! I am in awe of your talent!! I REALLY LOOK LIKE THAT! so, you can imagine how hard it is to get clothing to fit. (especially hats, with my combo 80's/on fire hair!) I think you should just say "F*** the pizza delivery biz, it makes my car smell!" and try to earn a living solely on your artistic stylings! Now draw Blu! Now draw Blu! :P :P :P

That is the best list ever! My fave thing was having my evening shower, then being allowed to go outside in my pyjamas as long as i stayed on the porch! Believe it or not, that was the highlight of my day! Everybody used to sit outside on their porches after supper, and go for walks. It was so cool!

Reg, not to be a damper, but you probably won't earn enough money in your lifetime to see my sunshine :P

I can mig and arc weld. I took shop all four years of high school, and never forgot how. (FYI, I can also rebuild an engine, make a birdhouse and work a metal lathe - but can't sew) My exfiance was a pressure pipe welder too, so not that long ago we had a welder, and all the tanks in our garage.

oh yeah.............babeeeeeeeeee

okay, blu, do we HAVE TO play the gay truth or dare on here? i think Croc wants to be your first contestant.....

i am sincerely sorry to sound like the girl in the group, but if my new boyfriend splashed my pic on the net, and proceeded to ask for strangers' approval with regard to how i look, and then proceeded to tell not only how often but where we had sex................. i'd have to freakin dump him for driving a jeep..........
-
Alpha, I am not the least offended by this thread, and i'm - you guessed it - a woman (ummmmm, with genitals).......... LOL Sometime the testosterone can get a little thick in here, but the lounge is just the place for having fun and goofing off. It's not like they're comparing car parts to body parts in the Pontiac thread.
-
NOS, that is so funny - i listen to Dave and Chuck the freak on 89X in the morning as well!! LOL

I wear Axe "Unlimited", Swiss Army or Dune for men. uhhhh, and yes, i'm still a female. But this is the weirdest thing, I get compliments ALL THE TIME on how nice i smell.

I'm definitely balanced between 4 and 5. (leaning more towards 5) I'm driving a 2006 G6 GT sedan totally cause i think it looks cool. I've been putting some miles on a couple Cadillac CTS's that i took in on trade, just cause i think they're fabulous looking. I have two kids and a great dane. Have i ever owned a mini van? not on your freaking life!! My next demo is a Pontiac Torrent. Why? I totally think they're cute........
-
just from a chick's point of view, while the BBQ may be totally a "man thing" those pants he's wearing should never be worn in public - men, pay attention....
-
Oldsmoboi: What year/what engine is your CTS?? I just took a couple 2005's that i've been driving around for the past couple weeks. They are both 2.8L, V6 which is okay be me with this gas madness on.

I LOVE IT!! i think every tough guy should be named Frankie Sparkles - if you can be tough with a name like that, well, that would be the real tough test! Picture it, Tony Montana as Frankie Sparkles. Don Corleone as Frankie Sparkles. James Bond, any Bond, as Frankie Sparkles. but then again, I semi agree with satty, that brian is smoking crack. pass me the vodka, satty darling, wouldja?? LOL

Why else join an opinionated forum if not to vent??!!!! :)
-
I don't get it....... Josh posts an obvious "venting", slightly off the wall rant about the cell phone industry. Everyone jumps on the band wagon with their "horror" stories. There's lots of "jumping" Josh for posting this to begin with, but, hey, it's meant to be offbeat. Everyone continues along with their cell plan horror stories. Then Sly posts his "horror" story about his plan and WTF? he's lying? Some days there's too much testosterone around here............

Chris, your second post is genius!!! I think if the voting was up to me you'd win! C'mon, a guy even too lazy to post?!?!

Here's what I say to every GM employee who drives otherwise: "I appreciate your right to earn a living and buy whatever you want with the money you make. However, when there isn't enough productivity at General Motors and your job is on the line, because not enough people bought your product, don't come crying to me about how you can't pay for your HONDA (or FORD, or CHRYSLER, etc.)" I definitely may not agree with their spending choice, but i'd fight for their right to have a choice. The least I hope for with my passive aggressive approach is some thought provoking. And just a note to BV, if you are the Chrysler employee you speak of, I have not one problem with you driving a Grand Am, especially if it's used. However, if you were my employee and I caught wind of you referring people to the GM dealer down the street, you would be fired so fast, your head would spin. So definitely be careful, you don't want your referral tactics getting back to anyone where you work!

It really caused a panic. I live here in southwestern ontario, about 30 minutes away from Chatham, Ontario. When the rumours started flying, everyone (except me, apparently, but I was out and about to pick up my chinese takeout!) decided to fill up. All the gas stations had cars winding around their properties, into whatever business was next door, down the street, blocking traffic, etc. It was like some weird end of the world movie. Too freaky. As a result, in the small town where i work, we had 2 out of 4 gas stations run out of gas. So what happens now? Do they refill their tanks at higher prices? I'll never understand gas station pricing. As it was, gas peaked at about $1.46/litre.

Current GM owner, and seller. Therefore GM's decisions are VERY important to me, they affect my career. I wouldn't call myself an enthusiast, but looking back on all the cars I've owned in my life, they've all been GM (except for my first car, 69 Dodge Dart GT) maybe by accident rather than design, but all GM's none the less.
