  1. I live in a small (and i do mean small) town - pop. 640 I like the balance of living in a small town and working in the city. I can get everything I need, drive in (a mere 40 minutes) to access great restaurants, shows, casinos, bars, etc. Or I can stay home, wear no makeup, go to redneck bars, and listen to 80's hair bands. I get to know all my neighbours (whether you want to or not), have people who "just happened to be driving by" stop in for a beer, or to help with a project, since they just "saw that i needed a hand", or sit on my quiet front porch, or back deck in solitude. This totally works for me....
  2. to answer chris i love one and couldn't live without the other haha - its beer and coffee in that order....... lol
  3. add black olives and i agree with wildman joe 200%
  4. I love fillet o fish, ate them exclusively on any trip to McDs for about 15 years. I love hotdogs, fruit, vegs, japanese, mexican, thai. I love spinach, corned beef, milk, any alcohol, pies, escargots, almost anything you guys have mentioned. I can even eat old, old leftovers from the fridge. I DESPISE liver, egg salad, and anything curry based. The one food I have NEVER TRIED but could not put near my face is pumpkin pie. It just looks like baby diaper in a pie shell - GROSS!
  5. Pointed out the air conditioning feature on a new car, only to have the customer ask me if it also came with heat. I also, for some reason, find that when someone calls somewhere, and asks if someone's there its the stupidest question ever. ie: - Hello? - Hi, is Hannah there? I just want to say "yes, thanks for caring" and hang up.
  6. Chief, I am so looking forward to hanging with you two at NAIAS this year. We'll also do a massive dinner and drunkfest at Greektown or Mexican Village (excellent golden margaritas!) - my treat! We'll have a riot...... (or cause one!) LOL
  7. So, i'm up at the local license bureau, licensing a car for one of my customers. I was in a rush since it was late in the day, my licensing girl had already been up there twice that day, so i went myself. So, i got that done, stepped outside and tripped over some uneven pavement. There was a sort of wire from a pole, covered with this old metal (i think to protect people from decapitating themselves on the wire). So i try to grab it to avoid going down, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, i go down and sort of swing around it like a drunken cracked out stripper! HOW EMBARASSING! so, i've fractured my arm, can't get a cast since it's so swollen. I only wish i knew how to post a pic, cause the colours that have been coming out on my forearm, wrist to elbow, are amazing! Here at work, we've been having ArmWatch05. So, license bureau sends me right over to townhall to fill out an accident report - it was totally due to their freakin uneven sidewalk (it doesn't help that i wear boots with high high heels, but i wouldn't have tripped if the sidewalk was even). So we'll see what happens............
  8. Time Bandits Reservoir Dogs Scarface Remember the Titans Crash Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid Sixteen Candles Shawshank Redemption Kalifornia American History X
  9. I'm pretty sure he means the Sandra Bullock version, since Cronenberg's is a few years old. Sly, I would have to say that was without a doubt one of the best movies I have ever seen. Made me think. I didn't even catch the "anti-gun" opinion, since I'm already "anti". Another major pick of the week, would be the newly released to video, "Lords of Dogtown" - excellent, excellent, excellent piece of work.
  10. I would suspect that if a reasonable effort was made to track down next of kin, there really wouldn't be any recourse. It would probably also depend on time of admittance and time of death, as that timeframe could be very slim.... I suppose you're not having a very good day, eh? (with a question like that)
  11. Oh let him back on the site. I never had so much fun as i did trashing harry's postings!!! LOL c'mon - let him on for, say, a week's trial membership....
  12. I'm telling you guys, working for a dealership is the only way! When I was in sales, the straight commission made me crazy some months, but once I was offered a position that was salary with another dealership, i get the best of both worlds!
  13. I in no way, shape or form, care to check, calculate or pay the slightest bit of attention to my gas mileage. I don't even care to track gas prices. The way I look at it, I need it, it's gonna be high, its gonna be low, I'm not driving farther to pay 2 cents less. I don't really have either time or inclination to care. The only thing I watch is my odometer so that I can get a new car around the 10,000 km mark. (I start paying attention around 9500 km, and start scoping out what I want next)
  14. See now, Chris, I read "where would America be without UNIFORMS?" and i was thinking wouldn't a trip to McDonald's really F**K with your head? Who would you talk to in WalMart?? Hell in a handbasket, that's America without uniforms in my opinion....
  15. Totally depends why you want your car classed as a classic - it's 20 years for emission tests - (here in Ontario, Canada)
  16. OMG! almost forgot to add this to this thread: Q: Why don't chicken wear underwear? A: Cause their pecker is on their face!
  17. Ahhhhh, Chiefy, you're my fave - you appreciate nice boobs when you see 'em!! LOL
  18. As a divorced mother of two with a house you learn FAST! i've always done lots of interior decorating, that's fun. I bought this house 7 years ago, and so far i've built almost everything i need. My last two major projects were building a loft bed (with a desk underneath) for my oldest daughter, and ripping out my downstairs bathroom floor (right down to the studs) relaying the mahogany underlay, and redoing the floor. It was amazing - you could see right down to the crawlspace under that section of the house (kinda creepy too!) I've had to cut a crawlspace trapdoor, (original was under wrong end of house), thaw frozen pipes, lay carpet, etc. It may take me a little longer than a guy, but I get there! The only thing that i won't even attempt is electrical. ("hello, daddy?") LOL Next project is installing my new dishwasher...
  19. NICK!!! i just missed your jumping girls!!! I would like to know who has the right to complain, if me, a woman with boobs, couldn't care less. Lets face it, some people can only have sex in the dark. it's sad.....
  20. and i didn't think we were allowed to say FUCK!!!!!!!!
  21. oh, and by the way androgyny is like a style choice, (although people can be unintentionally androgynous) hermaphrodite is a medical condition.
  22. OKAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I VOTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW STOP BUGGING ME!!!!!!!
  23. oh, and the worst part, i have long blondish hair - looks like a birds nest! can hardly get the brush through it, but trust me, to drive this car, i'll live with it!
  24. Outside of windsor, is where i'm located. Don't be tagging me anybody's heroine - you guys must know i work at a dealership and i'm grabbing different demos all the time, so i'm no superstar - just faster than any of the guys around here! LOL i'll probably only have this for a couple weeks, (since its already too cold most days).... but man, i am sooooo impressed! it got so much hype, i really hoped it lived up to it, and in my opinion it totally does!!!. My biggest complaint is the location of the cupholders, other than that - great car. You can burn a little rubber in second even, but the governor kicks in around 7000 rpm and you're thisclose to burning some in third....but not quite, LOL
  25. Well, me being me, i nabbed a solstice 5 minutes after it got delivered. Black, black leather interior, upgraded power package, aluminum rims, took it for a long drive.... it's awesome! I hope the weather holds out for the weekend - i'll be parking my canyon and driving this thing. Its amazing!
