  1. I really like mine on the Nox, it handles better and feels very secure in wet conditions. Don't get me wrong I prefer GoodYear, but GoodYear didn't offer a tire in my size in Delaware last August, in fact the the only tire maker that did was Bridgestone, and to me Bridgestone is just another word for Firestone, and I remember the Ford Exploder all to well a few years back rolling over and or flipping. So I found a dealer that handled Hankook truck tires in Kennett Square, PA, I have been very pleased with my purchase, ever since.
  2. :rotflmao:
  3. I like everything except the grille, it looks like it's smiling at me, like the Joker in Batman.
  4. Yeah, I want that that little one that's staring at me, so I can hold it hostage.
  5. There was no other platform at that time to take up the cause of midsize cars within GM, as much as you don't like it, it did serve GM well, sales today of the Chevy Impala prove that, up 11% over this time last year. And smallchevy, you right about a live ass being better than a dead lion, especially if that lion is rolling a ball.
  6. The W was not a failure, it kept GM alive and well for 20 years. Without the W, there would be no GM today, or at least not the GM you recognize. My GXP and the Bonneville GXP were one of the cars Lutz 1st changed, put the V8 in it, or did you forget that? Yeah I didn't like Roger Smith, trust me that's no secret, but please don't include me in your irrational hate of a man, you didn't know or even work under, or for that matter weren't even born yet at that time. :AH-HA_wink:
  7. Funny I and others have a special hatred for another platform.
  8. You mean the Camaro plant? Any other Zeta made there may be heading overseas! Hmmmm, thinking of that made me hungry for Chinese food, I don't know why?
  9. Watch it she owns more GM stock than Lutz, you want your Camaro or not? I've seen her work her magic at GM Stock Holders meetings, trust me you don't want to piss her off. She could gut you, fillet you, and hang your sorry a$$ out to dry, before you ever knew you were even cut. Plus she's a gun toten woman. :AH-HA_wink:
  10. Sales are UP UP UP UP UP , so will GM kill it? You're Kidding right? Remember GM is a business!
  11. Have you seen my Chihuahua/Great Dane mix?
  12. Everything Opel will be heading to Saturn, sooner or later! Saturn is Opel.
  13. Did my suggestion work?
  14. Are you trying to say it looks like the Aztek of Cadillacs?
  15. Here is what AutoWeek had to say about it. Julian Rendell AutoWeek January 13, 2008 - 12:20 pm ET The production version of the Dodge Demon sports car concept will be built on a Chinese-made front-wheel drive platform, AutoWeek has learned. Chrysler will engineer the design on a Chery Automobile platform as part of a wider cooperation between the companies to create small hatchbacks and sedans for the Chrysler and Dodge brands to sell in Europe and North America. "A small sports car is still on our wish list and in the product plan," Chrysler's Tom LaSorda said today at the Detroit auto show. "The Demon is a B-segment size car and it would be on the new B-segment platform from China." One of the reasons the rear-drive Demon concept would switch to a front-drive platform was emissions regulations, said LaSorda. He said that a direct-injection gasoline engine was in development for the car. With an eye on future European C02 targets of 130 grams per kilometer, the Demon would help cut the automaker's CO2 emissions and improve fuel economy. What the Chinese production source means for the quality of the finished product is still a major unknown. The few cars exported form China so far suffer from poor quality and engineering standards in comparison to their Western and Asian competition. However, price will be a selling factor, suggesting that the Demon would undercut its main competition, the Mazda MX-5 Miata and Pontiac Solstice/Opel Speedster. Another unknown is when the small Dodge sports car will go into production. Chrysler is talking 2009 for its Chinese-built hatchback, but still negotiating the details of the contract with Chery. Quizzed about the apparent slow speed at which the negotiations are progressing, LaSorda joked: "I don't know if you've ever negotiated in China, but if you know a way of speeding things up, I'd like to talk to you."
  16. Oh come on Camino, I know you want to party with PCS! :AH-HA_wink:
  17. Automotive News January 14, 2008 - 12:01 am ET Toyota's sprawling Georgetown factory in Kentucky horse country has taken over as the top-producing vehicle assembly plant in North America. For eight consecutive years, that honor went to General Motors' Oshawa car plant in Ontario. Georgetown finished on top in 1998, the year a long GM strike knocked the Canadian operation out of first place. Oshawa No. 1 and No. 2 are in the same building so are counted as a single plant. GM's Oshawa truck assembly is in a separate building and not included. In 2007, Georgetown turned out 514,382 vehicles, up 2.1 percent from 2006. Oshawa produced 470,016 units, a decline of 13.5 percent from 2006. Georgetown builds the Toyota Camry, Camry Hybrid, Camry Solara and Avalon cars on two lines. At Oshawa, GM produces the Chevrolet Impala, Pontiac Grand Prix and Buick LaCrosse cars on two lines. Oshawa was down mainly because production of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo car ended in June. But LaCrosse, Grand Prix and Impala production were all down, too. Nissan's Smyrna, Tenn., plant took a tumble last year, slipping to sixth place from third in 2006 and 2005 and second place in 2004. Smyrna output was off 11.6 percent to 410,991 units. Production of the Smyrna-built Maxima, Frontier pickup and Xterra and Pathfinder SUVs all declined compared with 2006. Among Smyrna's vehicles, only the Altima increased as production of the coupe version began this year. Factory race Here are North America? top-producing vehicle assembly plants in 2007. 18. Oh yeah it's really screaming S A A B, more than you will ever know. :AH-HA_wink:
  19. Is that frost on the roof and trunk, or just condensation?
  20. Don't you already live in the country? I mean downtown Amishville, PA, oops, I mean Lancaster, PA, is not exactly downtown Filth-A-Delphia, PA.
  21. As someone who went to Catholic schools the 1st 16 years of my life, I laughed my a$$ off a that. I'm now saying my Hail Marys in Latin of course. :AH-HA_wink:
  22. My eyes, my eyes. Oh the B pillar, OMG the damn B pillar. Let me go out and put a Benz in my sig!
  23. Good luck on the Torrent. I know my wife and I both like our 2005 Nox AWD, however I will tell you those Bridgestone tires suck a$$. We had to replace two of them within the first 3 months. The other two started acting up so I made an executive decision and replaced all four tires with Hankook tires which is what Saturn used/uses on the Vue. Haven't had a problem since.
  24. Jamie LaReau Automotive News January 13, 2008 - 5:43 pm ET DETROIT -- General Motors will announce the details of phase two of its attrition plans soon. The plan would eliminate more hourly jobs this year, said CEO Rick Wagoner. GM is working with the UAW on the second part of an attrition program announced late last year after reaching a contract agreement with the union. Wagoner would not say how many jobs will be eliminated in this round because GM is still working on the program. The plan will target workers close to retirement age. They would be given a buyout package offer, and those who take it likely would be replaced eventually by lower-paid, younger workers. " It's a voluntary program," Wagoner told reporters today at the auto show. " The percentage of those who go will be dependent on the market." To determine the attrition target number, Wagoner said GM and the UAW will review a variety of " market scenarios." Meanwhile, GM also will study U.S. demand for small cars, Wagoner said. As GM looks to expand Cadillac and Hummer in many global markets, it will have to expand that product lineup to include smaller cars. " I think it's an area you'll see us do more in," Wagoner said, referring to both small cars and premium smaller vehicles.
  25. Interesting Sig statement!
