  1. DO NOT CHALLENGE THE GATE!
  2. It was item number 6 on the proxy vote today. Stockholder Proposal Regarding Stockholder Advisory Vote on Executive Compensation. Also item number 10. Stockholder Proposal Regarding Performance-Base Equity Compensation Shareholders request that the Board adopt a policy whereby at least 75% of future equity compensation (stock options and restricted stock) awarded to senior executives is performance-based, and the performance criteria adopted by our Board is disclosed to shareowners. This is basic Pay for Performance issue for Senior Executives, and to disclose what was awarded in stock to the Senior Executives to the shareholders.
  3. I don't know what world Cali is in, but over here in the Real World USA, nada baby, nada damn one comercial have I seen on any of the 17 models that get over 30 mpg. Jesus half the people can't even tell you what Saturn sells. I have been in the US almost 2 weeks, I've seen 3 GM ads, all for gas hogs. I'm with Rick on this, GM needs to step up the ads, and pronto.
  4. I hope this will cheer you up, Mr. Lutz was looking spry and very, very tan!
  5. I think all investment by GM has stopped, doesn't mean they still won't try to sell it, maybe to a Russian partner or TATA.
  6. Come on Camino, take my hand we can get on the SEPTA bus together. That reminds me, GM may be getting back into the bus business.
  7. I have a feeling the new GM will be midsize and small FWD cars. At least that's the feeling Rick Wagoner gave me this morning at the stockholders meeting. I also have a feeling you are going to see more commercials on the 17 models that get 30 mpg or more. He spoke on that too this morning.
  8. That was never in the plan.
  9. PCS, looks for his TICK-TOCK crayon. :AH-HA_wink:
  10. You should have bought some GM stock, and flown to Wilmington, Delaware. Then you would have gotten one for free.
  11. Wagoner said today at the stockholders meeting that those 4 plants that are closing will not be reopened and no new product will be assigned.
  12. It's not going to be the Corsa.
  13. It cost GM to much to build in Canada now, I'd expect more Canadian jobs to move south, to the USA or Mexico.
  14. Oh Buickman was in rare form today, he spoke more than any other stockholder. Then he invited everyone to lunch that would listen after the meeting, shouting that they could not have lunch in the Hotel Dupont, since GM had booked every room and restaurant in the hotel. He kept screaming at Wagoner during the meeting "why won't you listen to us." "This is our meeting (meaning the stockholders meeting)." He ask the GM board "have you ever disagreed with anything Wagoner wanted to do?" Not one board member spoke up! OMG it was great fun to watch. Edit - Buickman also thanked Lutz for not sleeping at this years meeting! :rotflmao: Wagoner confirmed every option is on the table when it comes to Hummer, GM may remake it or just sell it outright. This was the 100th Anniversary Stockholders meeting so we all got a little gift from GM which I kind of like. I scanned it in for you viewing pleasure.
  15. Well I'm off to the GM Stockholders Meeting, now that I have all the liars in one room, I have questions! I just have to keep out of sight of Buickman, he always wants to have lunch with me. :AH-HA_wink:
  16. A very Happy Birthday to you sir!
  17. Hope you had a Happy B Day.
  18. Well I was a diplomats kid (don't know what was worse for my father, me or the Russians), so the brand I was 1st exposed to was Cadillac, specifically Cadillac Limousines and Nine Passenger Sedans, most were bulletproof. I think I was conceived in the back of one. When I was in primary school, a young American guy who was part of the embassy staff, he was around 22 at the time or so, imported a dark blue 1967 Pontiac GTO. It was love at 1st site for me, I had never seen or heard something that was so beautiful, I still see that metal arrowhead on the hood of that car. And guess what, no B pillar! :AH-HA_wink: I knew when I could drive, it would be Pontiac for me. The 1st car I owned was my 1969 Pontiac Custom-S in Midnight Green, it was built at the Baltimore Assembly Plant in December of 1968. I still have her to this very day, she and I go way back, we have built many memories together and I hope to have many more with her. We call her Christine, after the car in the horror movie, because when I was dating my wife the Custom-S' radio would stop playing every time my wife got in the car, no matter where in the car she sat. That lasted about two years, then suddenly it just stopped. That same radio is playing fine today, AM is all it gets, but that is part of her charm too. To me the Custom-S is Pontiac at it's greatest, when Pontiac was the Pontiac Motor Division, before all the pollution add ons and before the 1st gas crisis, when gasoline had lead in it, and no one cared. I've had maybe 20 Pontiacs since her, but I still love her the best. I thought I would buy Pontiac all my life, but with Pontiac selling it's soul (in my eyes) to Holden, I have gravitated back to Cadillac, where it had all begun for me, I lust after the CTS Sedan/Wagon. So I guess you can say I have come full circle, I am where I started, back at Cadillac.
  19. Was that the Jetta you hit? :AH-HA_wink:
  20. Today I saw something I haven't seen since I was a youngster back in the 70's, people turning their cars off at traffic lights and starting them up again when the light turned green.
  21. Biblioteca
  22. You should ask my Father-in-Law, he went up to a perfect stranger's house and asked them how much they wanted for it, even though it was not for sale. His exact quote was, how much will it take, to get you to vacate the property.
  23. It will be revealed either in Frankfurt or the Paris Auto shows in the fall. If I had to bet it will be Frankfurt. You should have production version by 1st or early 2nd quarter 2009. I don't see an Alpha in Pontiac's future, I see one for Cadillac, Buick and Chevrolet. But hey, I could be wrong, I was once! :AH-HA_wink:
  24. It will be a North American Pontiac, all of North America.
