  1. Not how I hear it. GM was constantly worried about the fraud and greed going on there, not to mention the law suits and potential law suits it was afraid of being drawn into.
  2. They would be offered the opportunity to join BOG, if they refused for whatever reason, they would be allowed to remain freestanding Opel dealerships. However they would increase their foot traffic by joining BOG and reduce their cost of running a standalone dealership too.
  3. When it is moved to the Lambda platform, change the name to the Cadillac Accolade.
  4. Upside Down
  5. Both Pontiac and Saturn would go, Pontiac would be retired and the Saturn name would be retired in favor of the Opel name. Remember, I would get rid of anything in the old Saturn lineup that wasn't in the Opel lineup. Outlook would go, Aura changed to Insignia (perhaps just a 5 door hatchback, think Opel Chevy Maxx and a wagon version), as to not compete with the 4 door Buick EP II. But also offer Opel OPC variants with a more sporty feel (see my sig for OPC). The Opel lineup in BOG would consist of Corsa, Tigra Twin Top, Combo, Meriva, Astra, Astra Caravan, Zafira, Sky name changed to Opel GT, and Vue name changed to Antara. 90% of these models would not compete with Buick and would offer North Americans choices they currently don't have. I know your comments aren't aimed at me directly, I take it all in stride. :AH-HA_wink:
  6. That would be a waste of electricity.
  7. Hmmm, I know what happened, but I don't kiss and tell. It's your story to tell caddycruiser. Oh by the way, if you get white, I don't want to hear you complain when DELDOT runs over your A$$ when it snows.
  8. It only gets worse as they get older, I know, I have a 16 year old.
  9. It's funny, when I watched the debate here and saw McCain, all I could think of was the movie "Grumpy Old Men"!
  10. It makes perfect sense, because you get rid of a brand without killing the sales channel, and you save millions by not shutting that sales channel down.
  11. I prefer this version. http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=oZCSfIcwtOA&...feature=related
  12. Not at all. Saab is GME. GME and Cadillac share the same goals, so what's good for one, is good for the other. Hopefully by 2011 I will be tooling around in a diesel CTS or Cadillac Alpha.
  13. If I were Obama, when I became president, I would recall all our troops that we have stationed in other countries that have shown they are no friend to the USA. I would recall all US troops from Europe as I don't see a need for them there any longer. It's time for the EU to take control of their own fate. In fact, I think it would bind the member nations into a new supernation, a lot faster than it is happening now, when we force them to work for their own common good and their own mutual protection. Think of the tax savings we could have, when we are no longer the policeman of the world, and what we could do with that tax money here at home.
  14. What is Bob Dolan telling you guys? After all he is your Plant Manager! Yeah I know, nothing as usual! OK, back to Palin.
  15. Don't cry old friend, when you're number two, you try harder!
  16. Congrats, I'm proud of you!!!
  17. Oh this should be easy for you. I will be visiting a tiny republic in two weeks that gained it's independence directly from the Roman Empire on September 3, 301. I fly their flag, in honor of my upcoming visit. They are not a member of the EU, but use the EURO as their national currency.
  18. I've seen that too, I've also seen cars that went through the paint ovens 8 times, the paint became so brittle that a fingernail could chip it.
  19. 3 lefts make a right.
  20. 3. Turn left!
  21. Most likely started out as an error car, and instead of scrapping the car as GM would have ordered them to do, they decided to keep it in house and make the best of it. At the Arlington, TX truck plant, I saw one suburban come down the line with GMC on one side of the truck and Chevrolet on the other side. At the Wilmington plant, I saw a Beretta that went through the paint department that was painted red up to the a pillar, white up to door, and blue from the door to the deck lid, all because the plant's computer went down just as the paint robots were asking the computer what color the job was supposed to be, no response from the computer and the paint robots each picked a different color paint and painted the car. I actually thought it looked good. Very American. I have also seen a Chevy exterior with a Canadian Pontiac interior. Steering wheel was Pontiac and dash was metric, with interior badging as Pontiac, and all Chevy grille and Chevy badges outside.
  22. What did they do, spray paint it? Even the license plate holder looks like it was sprayed red.
  23. I care, that's why I asked.
  24. What you didn't buy a Pontiac G5 with the unique Pontiac Styling cues? OMG, if only you had bought the Pontiac instead of the Chevy, your sale would have saved all of PONTIAC, now it's on it's way to the dustbin of History, all because of you blu!!!!!!!! :rotflmao: So they gave you 12k for the truck, the question is how much did you owe on it? Congrats on the car! Chevrolet, GM's world brand thanks you ever so much!
  25. Millions have been sold, I think you will be surprised. Check back with me in 20 years.
