  1. Bob Stremple used to carry around a piece of legal pad paper with the names of plants that he was going to have to close if things didn't get much better for GM. Then when it came time to execute the closures, he came up with the idea of plant competitions to see which plant would do the best building identical cars.
  2. Where are the japan cars?
  3. So PCS have you been Snooping as usual in your neighborhood for more porno mail?
  4. They have no souls. So I would not expect them to kill themselves.
  5. Um I'm pretty sure the LLV can carry at least twice as much as the Jeep and gets 18 mpg which I'm sure is about 5 mpgs more than the Jeep can get.
  6. I think the media is trying to call this "The Great Recession" which MEANS THE SAME FU#@!*G THING AS GREAT DEPRESSION! Kind of like Guerrillas and Insurgents
  7. The nice part about private sellers is that they usually are more flexible with the price of the car. Usually, they start much higher then they anticipate the actual price is going to be. Once you make a cash offer, they will have to think if they would rather take the money or sit on the car some more. Also, don't forget the added expenses you are going to have by flying or driving to this location and then driving or towing the car back to your home. You really have nothing to lose by making an offer.
  8. It's going to be hard to beat the economy of the ULVs with the Iron Duke in them.
  9. Well, you are not going to find a 2000-2001 Grand Prix at a dealer, so you really have limited choices unless one comes up for auction at Barrett Jackson.
  10. I'm glad somebody could make some sense out of my post!
  11. GM to shut many US plants up to 9 weeks DETROIT – Two people briefed on the plan say General Motors Corp. will close most of its U.S. factories for up to nine weeks this summer because of slumping sales and growing inventories of unsold vehicles. The people did not know exactly when the shutdowns would occur, but both say they will include the normal two-week closure in July to change from one model year to the next. Neither person wanted to be identified because workers have not been told of the shutdowns. GM spokesman Chris Lee would not comment other than to say the company notifies employees before making any production cuts public. GM is living on $13.4 billion in government loans and faces a June 1 deadline to restructure or seek bankruptcy protection.
  12. That was a good van commercial. Showing that the old school van was cool and the minivan blows.
  13. This guy is not a landlord, he is a amateur condo renter.
  14. This commercial should of had original wood paneled pentastar minivans in it with the Dustbusters in order for it to be true to respecting the Honda Odyssey.
  15. HOW DARE HONDA DESECRATE THE VAN LIKE THIS!
  16. If they can get the volt stuff to work in the cruze, then why don't they offer it in the cruze too?
  17. CNN Money Drives Volt Mule It was a rare opportunity when General Motors recently invited a few reporters to test drive a Chevrolet Volt electric car "test mule" at the carmaker's proving grounds in Milford, Mich. Very few people who don't work for a car company ever get to drive "mules." These are not-ready-for-prime-time mock-ups used to test new engine, transmission and suspension technologies. To create a "mule," engineers stuff the mechanicals of a new vehicle into the body of an existing vehicle and test drive that for months. It beats waiting for a whole car. In this case, the body was that of a Chevrolet Cruze, a new small car model that GM will start selling here next year. The interior, except for a big red "kill" switch on the dashboard, was that of a Cruze, too. Underneath, though, was the battery pack and electric motor, packed under the gasoline engine, of a Chevy Volt electric car. EDIT: follow the link for the rest of the article.
  18. In California, you are supposed to claim California Redemption Value that you have received as income, even though you pay income tax on it once when you get the money to pay for the CRV on the can when you buy it. I wonder how many people put CRV down on their state taxes?
  19. What is General Motor?
  20. It was 95 here yesterday. Supposed to rain on Thursday or Friday Codex Amadeaus Global Warming?
