Who was the President of GMNA before this all happened? Fritz? I knew Reuss was not going to be the next CEO, but this is a step in the right direction for sure.

Although very true, I don't think GM is going to let the guy that blew up Saturn run the company. -

No way Penske is going to do it. Too much invested in his other businesses. Besides he messed up the Saturn deal. AND.... he owns lots of dealerships, for instance, the Honda dealer by my town. No go. Why do you like them? Aren't both of their companies hemorrhaging money right now? -

I don't know very much about the Hyundai guy, but as good as Hyundai is doing right now, I should look him up. I hope Whitacre can get some relief on the salary issue. Also, who would be some of the people inside GM would could take the reigns? -

I'm pretty sure paint on cars is not lead based. I remember reading in a thread about the 80s and the water base paint problems.

find another buyer. You said you were getting good interest. tell the asshole you are putting it on the market again and see what happens.

If the buyer is a landscaper and he has his own business and was buying the truck under the business, then a lawyer may need to look it over for tax/liability purposes.

Really the problem here is the electronic title generation.

Sure, if you want to sell it to speed I will expect creator's credits and royalties. I will have the contract drawn up

the contract for the sale has to have a cooling off period instituted so it can be rescinded if there is an issue with the 6 day verification period. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to accomplish the actual cooling off period if one or both of the parties are uneasy. If the verification were to no go through, then you or the bank would have to make a demand for the vehicle back. I mean, all the risk and reward is really on the buyer. He will have possession of the vehicle, the money will be in the bank's hands and the title should be delivered to him. If he wants to return the vehicle in the same reasonable condition which he purchased it within say 7 days, then he should be able to do so prior to the bank verification. But if he does, he has to agree that it may take up to XX number of days for the money to be returned to him by the bank and buyer assumes all transaction fees if he rescinds the contract within the 7 day cooling off period.

Having fresh blood is working well for Ford. If the board didn't thing GM was moving fast enough with Henderson, then a change was needed.

Viridian Joule Flordia Man Wins Contest to Name Volt's Color o Consumers determined the winner o Nearly 3,000 consumers voted for their favorite name o ‘Viridian Joule’ led all finalists in consumer voting since Nov. 16 o Winning name announced today in Los Angeles LOS ANGELES – David Thomas, 40, of Sanford, Fla., has won Chevrolet’s national contest to name the Volt’s lead paint color and the opportunity to be the first consumer to test-drive a pre-production Volt. Nearly 3,000 people cast their votes at chevroletvoltage.com for Thomas’ “Viridian Joule.” Voting ended at 8 a.m. ET and Chevrolet announced the winner in Los Angeles. “I looked at the photo of the Volt on the contest web site and thought it looked emerald in color, which led to jewel and then to an alternate yet appropriate play on that word – joule (a unit of electrical energy),” said Thomas. Although it was a close race among the three finalists throughout the contest, “Viridian Joule” led throughout the Nov. 16 to Dec. 1 voting period. Chevrolet also selected “EV-ergreen,” offered by Devin McQuarrie, 30, of San Jose, Calif., and “environMINT,” entered by Matthew Valbuena, 30, of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., as finalists. About 300 votes separated “Viridian Joule” from the second-place entry, “environMINT.” Thomas traveled to L.A. and joined the two California-based finalists for the announcement. “This was a fun way to engage Chevrolet and Volt enthusiasts by inviting them into the process and naming our lead color, and the name reflects the innovation of the Volt’s extended-range technology,” said Maria Rohrer, Global Volt and Global Marketing Director at Chevrolet. “When our Volt marketing materials arrive in dealerships, you’ll see “Viridian Joule” as the official name of the silver exterior with an emerald hue.” Chevrolet narrowed down nearly 13,000 name entries to the three finalists, judging them on originality, creativity and the ability to capture the innovation and spirit of the Volt. About 27,000 people – or half of all visitors to www.chevroletvoltage.com during the Oct. 22 to Nov. 4 entry period – submitted a color name. A sales representative for an awards and promotions company in the Orlando area, Thomas is originally from Southeast Michigan and has family ties to the auto industry. He submitted several color names, but “Viridian Joule” wasn’t his first entry. The Chevy Volt is an electric vehicle with extended-range capability. It is designed to drive up to 40 miles on electricity without using gasoline or producing tailpipe emissions. When the Volt’s lithium-ion battery is depleted of energy, an engine/generator seamlessly operates to extend the total driving range to about 300 miles before refueling or stopping to recharge the battery. Production for the Volt is expected to begin in late 2010. Pricing has not been announced.
