  1. The 3.6 started out in Cadillacs. Engines are becoming accessories.
  2. What car comes to mind when somebody walks in asking for help where you have to think real hard about the last time somebody needed help on that kind of car?
  3. Okay, this was first reported on almost a year ago in September 2010 by Autoblog. Just for fun: THE HORROR!!!!!
  4. Further proof that cow-towing to DOHC fanbois is not necessary.
  5. You do realize that this film's primary audience is Chinese people not Americans right? China is an emerging market and there is lots of profit potential in China. Time and time again, it has been proven the best way to fight "Communism" is to allow people living in Communist countries the ability to consume what they want and consume items of luxury. This isn't 1950 anymore.
  6. Let's not forget that the Buick Regal has some racing history:
  7. Everybody knows the best way to thwart Communism is to infuse the people with commercialism and conspicuous consumption.
  8. Both of those Buicks appear to be in decent shape. When I went W hunting, any and all were fair game. Grand Prix, Regal, Impala, Monte Carlo, Intrigue
  9. Please provide a link. I went there and couldn't find what you were talking about. From your limited explanation of this "movie" it appears it may be some type of historical film about China. Obviously Communism is going to be a part of any historical account about China. GM has the right to spend money on whatever it wants. I think the red scare in the form of Communism taking over is long behind the world.
  10. The Northstar is not the problem, it is the transmission that is the problem. A transmission repair/replace on that Cadillac is going to cost as much as the car does. 140,000 miles is ripe for transmission issues too.
  11. I just love when big companies get called on their mistakes. This should have been solved before any of the soldiers got on their flight.
  12. Delta Charges U.S. Troops Returning From Afghanistan $2,800 In Baggage Fees WASHINGTON -- Delta Air Lines is facing intense criticism after charging 34 U.S. soldiers returning from Afghanistan $2,800 in baggage fees. The incident came to light on Tuesday after a couple of the new-media savvy soldiers recorded a video about their ordeal and posted it on YouTube. "We showed up and found out we had too many bags," said Army Staff Sgt. Robert O'Hair in the video, which was shot on their flight. "We had four bags, and Delta Air Lines only allows three bags. Anything over three bags you have to pay for, even though there's a contract between the United States government and Delta Air Lines: When returning from Afghanistan on military orders, you're authorized up to four bags."
  13. Your CC company wouldn't overnight a new card to you? American Express would. Bummer man!
  14. Luxury 2: a condition of abundance or great ease and comfort : sumptuous environment <lived in luxury> 3a: something adding to pleasure or comfort but not absolutely necessary <one of life's luxuries> 3b : an indulgence in something that provides pleasure, satisfaction, or ease <had the luxury of rejecting a handful of job offers — Terri Minsky> Yup, nothing about exclusivity.
  15. The car will win buyers with it's features and comfort. Those exterior photos in the daylight prove that it has high class written all over it. Just wait and see, there will be some people here with hat in hand!
  16. Where is GM going to build the XTS? If they are going to tool this plant for LWB Epsilon II then wouldn't it make sense to build the XTS at Det-Ham as well?
  17. Now this is the kind of stuff that could potentially show major fuel savings.
  18. Did you stay in the room with the cool hot tub?
  19. Platforms HAVE to be flexible. I recall an article Borger sent me that talked about Alpha needing to be more flexible. This has been in the works for at least a year if not longer.
  20. Nothing has really been said about how flexible the Lambda platform is. I wonder if anything other than a 3 row SUV can be produced off of it.
  21. Hypocritical leader, whats new!
  22. NAVISTAR is still American Owned and they build class 8 trucks that look like harleys.
  23. Well, then the tech is going to have to get better on the two-mode or start making it standard on trucks.
  24. Well, GM has been working on hybrid systems on buses for a long time. Maybe this system will have to find its way into pickup trucks.
