  1. The 4 speed dodge transmission holding back the wonderful Cummins ISB. That thing can never find the right gear when going up a hill. It is a total annoyance.
  2. So, apparently, the Finger Lakes Region here has a "wine country" I love wine and am up for trying some new things and there is this tour company that will take you out for 6 hours for 300 bucks in get this.... a restored 1985 Cadillac Seville with a fake convertable top! My mom had an 85 and it would bring back some good memories. The back seat did have lots of room. Hummm.... what do you think?
  3. wow, it really does look like the grand prix..... scary..... toyota stealing styling cues from GM
  4. Lets see here... in my 'hood, I know of at least 2 deloreans, a Ford GT40, a couple of lambos and farraris, a detomasso, and a sweet Prevost bus.
  5. And it's Natural Light too.... bet the guy had a mullet that was drinking it lol.
  6. if you do go..... please take a pic next to the Sacramento sign on US 50. Its the last US highway that goes "coast to coast". THere is an OC MD sign in sacramento and i know there is one in Ocean City. Enjoy guys!
  7. "What is Life" By George Harrison --- Its the song from Goodfellas when Ray is being chased by the helocopter.
  8. word association 1 word association 2 word association 3 word association 4 word association 5
  9. The shot of XP's ride with the hood up on showcase is classic! Nice pics.... and I see they still have the old dealer sign up with the rocket logo and everthing.
  10. It would definately have to be the guys selling bottled water on I 95 right in the middle of the interstate before the GW bridge in NYC and then all the bottles full of pee as you go onto the GW bridge.
  11. *bump* here is a link to the story Diesel Beaters
  12. So I was getting some trailer tires replaced and they had this artice with a 82 or 3 oldsmobile in it that was in cherry condition. I loved the article. The Dautsun (68!) and the benz were also really funny to read. I remember the winter beaters with the subaru justy.. i knew somebody that owned one of those. Anybody read the diesel beater article?
  13. The 2.2 that everybody is talking about is the Iron Duke right? Add to the list: Two-cycle GM/Detroit Diesels 6.5 GM diesel thats powering all the Humvees in Iraq Detroit Diesel 60 Series (1st engine to be considered a "million mile motor" as far as overhauls)
  14. That is just totally classic! I love it! Since I don't pay for fuel anymore it really doesn't bother me when i see how much I'm putting into the truck..... but when a big tractor pulls out and they bought 300 gallons of fuel and its a 900 dollar bill! damn....
  15. It's all about the AUX jack. It makes life so much easier when I am attaching my IPOD or my external XM radio.
  16. woot for Fresno! Good to hear the cobalt getting some props over a land rover! LOL
  17. Davis, CA- Home of UC Davis Population is around 70 grand and half of those are students and the other half are people who hate students. UCSC gives letter grades now because the state makes them. They said that they needed a way to grade the students there compared to other schools. Santa Cruz is a great place, I love to go there as much as possible. Watching people downtown there is so entertaining.
  18. GM has a recall to replace plenum screws on the 3800II engine. Its real reason to recall the screws is so that they can inspect the manifold gasket and try and tell you if it needs to be replaced at the cost of YOUR dollar. I had a crooked dealer tell me my gasket was shot. Took it to my trusted GM mechanic of 30 years and he said there was nothing wrong with mine as he has seens tons of leaking gaskets.
  19. Well, I think most of you know my experience at Michael Cadillac in Fresno. He was an idiot.... didn't even think that loose carpet and fit and finish pieces would hurt the sale of the car.
  20. Why is everybody so sprung on having a ton of gears in their transmission? 4 speeds is plenty unless you are towing a trailer..... I still swear to this day that the 3 "speed" VH transmission in the 1965 GM bus i drove was far superior to any 5 speed allison in the newer stuff.... its all about "converter, direct, overdrive". But yeah, that comercial was awesome I saw it a lot in california.
  21. CARBIZ, I'm with you... I can recomend GM until the cows come home, but ultimately, I tell people to TEST DRIVE. Because thats what will tell you what you want and what you dont want.
  22. This reminds me of the Impala thread that we had awhle ago lol...... Best racing 4 banger that GM has made since the iron duke.
  23. The 8.1 is a BEAST.... we have one in our 35ft box truck GMC and it grosses out at about 25,000lbs and it drives like a champ. Mel Gibson had a GMC truck in Lethal Weapon btw.
  24. that works ven... ill just produce two documents which isnt that hard... one for computer entry and one for handwriting.
  25. that might be another solution croc, but the box remains and it looks kinda funky.... i swear there is a way to do it cause i have seen word documents before that do it. Thanks for the help....i didn't know those even existed.
