Congrats to you sir... I like you left and came back too. I am glad you enjoying yourself. I am glad you feel the way you do. I hope to feel that comfortable again here like you do. I do not as of yet. It is just wonderful to see you express yourself in the way you did. Your statement said a lot about you and your feel for this place. I can tell you this.. It is a difference place. When I left, Northstar was in high school and he did not own a car. His family owned a very nice black Oldsmobile Eighty Eight LSS. The last time I talked to anyone from this board was TED. Ted was going to a car show and wanted to know how much cigarettes were in the United States. Z28 Lover has always tried to be nice to me, but I never gave him a fair shake because of other past events which I will not drag up because it is in past. Other people have changed in life too. I remember when I sent the then "small cheers and gears" all videos of GM car footage for free. It was a big project, and I did not mind paying for everything, but it was fun. These are good changes. A lot of people are new to me here. I do not know them. Some of them say they know me, but I do not remember them. I remember the one guy who drives the Buick Regal with the miles on it because he always talks to me about Oldsmobile 98 from 1975 because of the tail lamps. I also remember sixty eight because he was here when I left and he used to be so upset with GM for dumb decisions. I remember Bobo because he owned an Oldsmobile Aurora at one time. It was a shock to me as well. Good people... New good people. The thing that shocks me is the younger people here who were not here before. The number of gay people here went way up too. So how do people know when it is you and not your son?? Anyway.. congrats to you... I know where you are coming from.

I hold back online. I hold back to those I do not know. I hold back here. I could tell stories about my life that would make people say wow!! I do not feel comfortable exposing myself like that. In my work, I do not hold back, but I still have to be careful and cautious. I guess that could be termed as holding back. I could have been close friends with someone on here, but because I hold back, it never has happened. We used to talk on the telephone and everything. He knows I am keeping things and I refuse to tell. It is not so much how I would be perceived by this person, but rather feeling left too open. I almost opened up after reading black vipers thread and Oldsmobile boi or whatever his screen name is. I have to regroup and hold back or not respond to the thread at all. When Oldsmobile boi or whatever it is said he was coming to Houston, I was just being friendly and asking questions. It was taken as I was trying to make moves on him and that was not even the case. That is why I left that thread once people started saying things in fun. So yes, we all do to some degree..

Do not sell you car. Do not be discouraged... I was very frustrated the other day with my Toronado. I was ready to send it to the junk yard. I then realized it is not as bad as it seems. It was the video I posted in the Oldsmobile section that inspired me to continue to go forward. http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...showtopic=18041 I have done many things myself like: program the keyless remote( not easy as it sounds) change all the screws in the instrumentation panel change the black trim on the b-pillar repair the storage box on the instrumentation panel changing the warning light plates ( it required taking the instrumentation panel apart and putting it back together) fix the drivers seat change the battery get all new brake lines and fuel lines put carpet back in the right rear quarters. It was gone when I bought the car The next thing is getting that 3800 V6 and getting it installed. ( saving for that right now) getting another 1991-1992 Oldsmobile Toronado stereo with graphic equalizer getting new exhaust system front to back getting new tires getting a new paint job and changing the color. get the headliner fixed get new floor mats get a 1991-1992 steering wheel with all the steering wheel controls all working and light up at night. You are fortunate. Your car is moving. Mine is not. It has not been driven since May 11th.

I hope you feel well soon. Best of luck with recovery..

You really need to go talk to someone about this. Your mind is obsessing about small things and things you cannot control. I really do not want you drive your friend away with this. Maybe it is something in your chemistry which causes you to do this. In your attempt just to function and do things right, you end up creating more of a situation for yourself only to find out it is all in your head. A personal question: Are you on any medication or did you stop taking any medication? It is apparent you cannot deal with this alone. We all at one time or another need to get help when we cannot cope alone. Just something for you to think about. We are all have to deal with something. It is how we go about it in order to get better. The thing that makes me so sad for you is for someone so young, you have experienced so much( from reading your posts).

This is funny. That was great..

It happened on my Ninety Eight. Go to http://www.rockauto.com and get the part there. I got mine and have been fine since. with the original, the plastic broke off on the inside.

I read all of this with great interest.. It is sad, but you pick yourself and get back up. I know how it is in the "community". That is the one thing I hate is how they keep hurting each other over and over again. Your former boyfriend.. he will get his without you having to do anything. You stay true to your values and who you are. I have been hurt too in the past. I will not get into that, but I have been through things worse than that. As for the others, they have been hurt too. I understand that. That you sow you shall also reap. Someone is going to do it to them. They will feel pain. By that point and time you will have moved on.... You do what you need to do to break free.

MADE IN CHINA, if that's what you want

This is indeed scary and yet sad... I remember the toothpaste thing recently. No one is complaining about the Buicks from China. -
That Park Avenue was one in need of repair. The red car was a LeSabre. Look at the bill pillar of that Park Avenue. That LeSabre rear door was a dead giveaway.

I enjoyed the story. It was quite good. There is a story behind every car. There were some sad moments too. I read it and was like he really feels for this car. I hope that this car has a good new home and success with the new owner. I am sure he will make some changes to it too. They always do. I will be honest.. I do not have fond memories of my first car. It was the first Oldsmobile Ninety Eight I owned. Too many times at the dealership, I got talked into that Ninety Eight. It was not what I wanted either. I have the Ninety Eight I want now. I hated my first Toronado. I hated the color and it needed too much work to it. It was better off totaled. I am happier with the second one even though it needs a new engine a few other things. When they are off the road, that is the part that hurts. So.. You like your Millenia? So this may sound silly.. You drive a Mazda.... Do you want to own a GM car to drive? Someone else's car in the driveway does not count in this case.

My 89 T-Type

I remember those.. That is when Buick was in its European phase.. It is rare when you see one of those. Good car. I remember the clam shell hoods and the shifter that all the Buicks shared and the Park Avenue taillamps. -
My Bonneville Showcase...

Impressive Bonneville. I almost considered one, but there are features I have the Bonneville does not. I was a fan of the exterior of the last Bonneville. Nice car indeed. -
Thank you sir, but I was referring to the 3800 Series II not the Supercharged 3800 Series I. It has the same horsepower as my Ninety Eight Series II. I do not want the supercharged engine. I never did. Every board I go on everyone keeps thinking I want the supercharged engine or I should put the supercharged engine in my car. I do not want it because it uses premium fuel. Plus, I do not want it because I do not need it. My mechanic keeps advising me against the engine swap. He says I should put what was in there back in there. I know a 3800 Series II with a new pcm, ecm, and bcm would work. The problem is finding someone who would do it. It is just easier to get a 3800 Series I and put it in there..

That is sad news indeed, but the fact they went on this journey and are sharing is interesting to me. I thought about calling, but they do not know me and I do not know them. I would not know what to say. It is just interesting reading and watching..

I am sorry.. I am hoping you guys get where you need to go. I know we all have plans, but they rarely go the way we expect them too. You pick up and keep on pressing forward.

2007 Cadillac SRX Sport AWD

Very nice indeed. Most impressive. It was nice seeing your vehicle. Your wife will appreciate that. -
The thing is the 1990-1992 was getting back to the roots that the 66 had. I liked the: 1966,1975-1976,1079-1985,and the 1990-1992. The 19990-1992 has a little of the 1979-1985 in it too. The car handles well. There is a black Trofeo on Ebay. Oh, believe me, I thought about painting it black.. The black sapphire blue is close enough. There is a lot of work ahead. Thank you for the comments.

Not bad photos. Nice Oldsmobile. Welcome to the Oldsmobile family. Once you have had this taste, you will want it again. There was nothing wrong with the photos. It was the first time in years I saw a car without power windows. I remember when that was common. The thing is you did it! You made the purchase.. I must say I am impressed. Congrats to you..
