  1. Overall, it looks great and appears to be much improved from the current Aveo. The interior plastic looks like it's hard but I KNOW it's an economy car so I'll be quiet about that. The wheels, man...are they 12s?
  2. I don't know about you, but I'd gladly pay for side airbags and maybe even stability control. Granted, not $1,000 like the G6 but I'd still pay. I think they should be standard, though, on almost every car. Getting into a car accident is one of my biggest fears. The Insurance Institute did a study on side airbags and I believe the risk of serious head injuries decreased around 90%. That's a huge margin. I think the government will make side airbags standard in a few years, just like it implemented the front impact airbag standards.
  3. I love the 5 Series' exterior design.
  4. Color makes a big difference, IMO. The grey looks a lot better than the silver.
  5. I saw a couple GV commercials today so it looks like Suzuki is getting the word out there. I love the car...it looks great, has a nice interior, good warranty and is packed with standard features for a reasonable price.
  6. I know I harp on quality materials and fit and finish but the Civic is where I draw the line. Interior design has to add with quality materials and good fit and finish to be the perfect interior equation. design + quality materials + good fit and finish = great interior. Cobalt doesn't have it and Civic doesn't have it.
  7. The question isn't "why did Toyota rent out the park and stop visitors from coming." It's "why did the city of Chicago allow Toyota to rent out the park and stop visitors from coming." The answer: money.
  8. I've heard stories about those types of "rules" and actions. My dad just told me one the other day. He went out on a call to implement a wired network that he designed at some company. In order for the network to be cost effective (cut down on how much wire is used, where the wire has to go, etc.) and be accessible to network technicians office furniture had to be moved around. My dad and his employees were going to do it but were stopped because the union did not allow anyone but union members to do that. My dad had to wait for days in order to install the network when he could have moved the furniture around and got the office situated himself in just a few hours. There have been movies made about unions. My parents told me unions are "just like the mob. If you don't follow their rules, they'll threaten, hurt and kill you." Edit: spelling
  9. I thought the next-gen Rav4 already had a thread?
  10. LMAO. Being on the right side of the political spectrum, this cracks me up.
  11. Shoot what? LOL. I had to...
  12. Sport SportCombi. Ugh...
  13. Saw 2 Equi...I mean Torrents today.
  14. Wow, I am really surprised. The only reason for the huge differences in power, I'm going to guess, is to make sure there's room for a 4-cylinder hybrid.
  15. Razor, I'm curious as to know what you propose the country should do so the majority of Americans aren't, as you say, "headed for the trailor parks and crack towns."
  16. I like it, too. Probably the only Jeep I'd give strong consideration to purchasing. Hopefully interior pics come soon.
  17. There's no way the new Rav4 would use the Avalon V6. That would make it more powerful than the V6 Highlander and 4Runner. If Toyota does what you heard, I'd be blown away. If anything, it will be the 3.3L V6 used on the Highlander, Camry, ES330, etc.
  18. At least you don't want to (try) to physically harm me.
  19. I've been wanting to say something since the photo thread. New low, probably.
  20. Thanks for showing me up, olds. LOL. I was trying to be cool and all...
  21. What's going on? My name is Mike. I am an 18-year old white male. I am 5'7" tall and weigh about 155lbs. I have naturally dirty blond hair (currently strawberry blond) and hazel eyes. I enjoy cars (naturally), music (almost any genre), traveling, cooking, food, Starbucks, chocolate and good television shows. Money isn't bad, either but I usually like it only if I'm earning it. My favorite foods are anything Italian, mom's beef stew, cheesefries and a nice, juicy bacon cheesburger. I am looking for a 16-20-year old person (or just mute or turbie) who enjoys the same things I do but can show me some new things, too. A great sense of humor is needed, along with lots of personality and a good, but not bleeding, heart. No alcohol or drug abusers and smokers, please.
  22. Much needed "trunk" space.
  23. It looks dorky, like the poindexter kid in math class with the big nose and black-rimmed glasses.
  24. It's beyond bad looking. It's like the fat girl who shouldn't be wearing the clothes she is...the fat hanging over the top of her pants, bloaty-looking, far from being even remotely attractive. She still thinks she looks beautiful, though!
