  1. Sonata-ish headlights on a Caddy? Someone needs to be shot.
  2. I read about this at Autoblog earlier today. While recalls of Toyota vehicles have risen during the past few years, they don't even come close to GM or Ford. His statements are just as stupid as the "we need to raise our car prices to help American auto companies" one from Toyota executives. 1) People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. 2) Pick your battles wisely.
  3. No sarcasm here. Sorry if it sounded that way. I should have said something along the lines of, "I wish I had same faith as you do in Saab." I really hope that's not the 9-6x.
  4. The past-gen 7 Series in no way screamed money. I never really was a fan until the current model.
  5. It looks better with painted panels but those ugly body panel lines stick out so much.
  6. I thought the plane was going up in flames once I saw them coming off the gear. They're lucky nothing flew off the landing gear and tore into the wings (aka. fuel tanks) ala Concorde.
  7. Eating...
  8. Can you explain your pricing structure?
  9. An explanation as to why Suzuki doesn't put the more powerful and efficient Aerio engine in their other small cars?
  10. After the A-bombs, I just laugh. They got much more than they gave, luckily. That's how it should be all the time.
  11. Corvette, GTO and the current Cadillac lineup. I'm convinced Cadillac's turnaround will go down in automotive history. It's a shame GM is having a hard time doing it with other divisions.
  12. I wish I knew what you know, turbie.
  13. I thought it was only 4 banger Toyotas that sludge?
  14. Mays is part of management...he's design management. Obviously he doesn't have all the power in the world but he has more power than the designers working under him. I'm sure he could have fought a little bit harder to get the Prodigy, rather than the 500, built. Speaking about the Prodigy, it can be added to the already long "Cars that should have been produced but weren't" list. DeLorenzo obviously doesn't get the Fusion. It is, as he ridicules Mays as saying, destinctive design that doesn't polarize.
  15. The fact that it has only 2 doors doesn't bother me as that niche is lacking in the current SUV market. It will attract singles or young couples without a family that want a SUV without any excess. Edit: What I don't like is the fact that there is too much B9 in the design. I'm starting to cry for Saab. :(
  16. Talk about a HUGE improvement. It's like the current Ion (or current GM brass) overdosed on Viagra or something. I love the exterior. It's eyecatching and stylish. I'm not worried about the fastback-look or supposed lack of rearseat headroom. It looks good, period. A hatch/wagon needs to be offered, the car is calling for it. The interior looks alright though I'm not crazy about the side HVAC vents or Nissan-inspired design. The difference in colors is weird, too. I'm not really liking the puke-gray. I admit it's better than all gray or all black, though. The materials look slightly cheap, the plastic hard. We are talking about an economy car, however, so no one should be expecting to see Bentley materials. Overall, a much-needed improvement.
  17. I'm guessing you can expect the next-gen Sequoia to come out after the next-gen Tundra is out since they're on the same platform, use the same engines and pretty much have the same interior.

    HHR on TLC

The dual-tone on Darkside's concept looks amazing.
  19. I'm all but 100% certain US companies would still be based in China even without NAFTA, CAFTA, AUSTA, etc. Edit: spelling
  20. Aston Martin DB9 from AM's site.
  21. Column shifter? I guess I was so excited about the interior being modern and nice and beautiful that I didn't see that. Boo...
  22. Besides the 4-speed and lack of fold-flat seats, what is lacking?
  23. It completely slipped my mind that we were going to be seeing the Tahoe for the first time today. I'm busy getting ready for college and all so forgive me! The exterior looks better to me than what we saw in the spy shots. It looks classy, somewhat sporty and very substantial. I hope the base models look pretty much the same: all body-colored exterior parts (no Kia Rio black plastic!). Now I really can't wait to see the Yukon, Escalade and the trucks. The interior completely blew me away. BEAUTIFUL. At first I was scared to see all the faux wood, especially around the radio/HVAC controls but I've settled down now. It looks very nice. Like someone else mentioned, though, we need to see photos of the base model interior. This is how interiors are built, GM! Keep this up and people will be crawling back to buy your cars. It looks good so hopefully the rest of the "interior equation" adds up: Design (got it) + Build Quality (looks like it's there in the photos) + MATERIALS = Perfect Interior I love all the little details: chrome around the gauges and control knobs, etc. I am disappointed about the lack of a fold-flat 3rd row and the presence of 4-speed automatic but the final product seems to redeem itself. I can't wait to read the reviews. GM not only met the bar on full-size SUVs, it slightly rose it.
  24. Best: XLR/HHR/SSR Worst: Aveo Bland: Cobalt sedan
