  1. No, because, as we have discussed on this board, there are better cars that should have received the award. Not just GM, whose only entry that deserve the award was the Corvette, but other manufacturers.
  2. I guess I'm kind of on the fence with this one. On one hand GM needs to have a presence in this market because, though it may be shrinking, it will be around forever. GM also does not need to have old models on the lots, rather competitive models. Really all GM needs to is replace the interiors and give them all near-9-7x driving dynamics. Is it really that expensive? On the other hand, money would be better spent on crossovers and cars because SUVs are falling by the wayside, at least currently. Once gas prices got up there many people realized they did not need huge vehicles that guzzle gas.
  3. And based on the media's comments that redesign could put Chevy (and GM) in the top of the midsize sedan segment.
  4. I'm not really digging that concept, probably because half of that stuff tacked on won't make it to production. I still think an HHR trucklet would be a sales hog.
  5. Is the exciting Malibu worth that extra $0.70?
  6. It's the same length as the current Camry, about 1-inch shorter height-wise, longer wheelbase and I'm not sure about the width.
  7. I think it's safe to say it'll continue being the best-selling car in the country, especially with the hybrid model. Toyota went with the economy side of hybrids vs. the Accord and Highlander hybrids.
  8. The new MT layout is definately tops in the car magazine genre. It's a work of freakin' art, I swear. Maybe I shouldn't go that far but it's a lot better than your normal design. It has an air of class about it, I guess. Edit: spelling.
  9. I've said this before, too, but I've been asked if mine is a BMW because "it has an 'x' in it's name." Say it with me now...education and glasses.
  10. If you do decide to not get a new car now I would advise you to grow your credit. A credit card is the easiest way but DO NOT fall into the traps. ALWAYS pay it on time and in full. In a couple of years your credit report is built and looks damn good.
  11. That's good to know, thanks.
  12. I agree with Croc. Get your parents to lease it for you and pay for the car through them. That is the best way to do this, I think. You still have the car but it's much less riskier than trying to do it alone, even if you have the financial means to.
  13. I took French for 2 years in high school but I don't know what that means. Can you help me out?

  15. How about a slightly used G6 as an alternative?
  16. I'm guessing those LED light bars are those clear ones I've been noticing. It sucks because you don't realize it's a cop from far away, you have to pay real close attention.
  17. Real. Always have, always will.
  18. Definately not bad.
  19. I'd take the Sky over the Solstice anyday, mainly based on the interior.
  20. Sixty, I'm liking the Hollister t-shirt-esque signature.
  21. How about an integrated antenna? Even my xB has that.
  22. The local police department (suburban, middle-class area) had a mix of Impalas, Crown Victorias and Intrepids. It also has a SWAT vehicle and an emergency management/mass casualty converted motor home which I'm guessing was paid for by DHS grants. I think the Charger is pretty badass looking.
  23. In Europe, I think, it would improve Lexus' image, minus the really bad name.
  24. I don't mind platform sharing but blatant rebadging is annoying. Mercury's are pushing the limit for me and the CSV's are rediculous.
  25. That quote jumped out at me, too. Imagine if GM was allowed to do that...
