  1. Unfortunately, I kind of agree with you, especially after I've seen and sat in the Acadia. Perhaps it's just these photos, though? Other Enclave photos I've seen make the car look great and in person it's beautiful. I have no problem with the two-tone base models (I think it adds something). I think the wheels are the biggest problem in these pictures, they're too small.
  2. Looks good, great power, acceptable price...a nice car, IMO.
  3. I know it's covered but the rear reminds me of the last-gen Stratus with the third brakelight integrated into the trunk and the horizontal turn signal indicators. Not a good sign, IMO.
  4. I'm sure Toyota could make the trade deficit even worse by importing all vehicles instead of building some of them here.
  5. At least someone is thinking before posting. It would be quite funny to see the Tundra earn a "good" or "best pick" rating from the IIHS which does have a harder crash test.
  6. Some people are really lame.
  7. In normal trim the Sentra looks good for an economy car, IMO. It does not look "sporty" or "fast" and no amount of styling add-ons will change that. Nissan should have designed the car with the SE-R in mind.
  8. Look at the front wheel. It's a really bad chop.
  9. You failed science class in school, didn't you? It doesn't take a few months to build a nuclear bomb, try a few years. NK was building nukes a long time before Bush got in office but of course people such as yourself (diagnosed with BDS) like to gloss over the fact that Clinton was more interested in getting head in the Oval Office than actually doing his job. Try doing some research on the matter, including looking into illegal foreign campaign donations by Chinese nationals in return for defense secrets that were then sold to the North Koreans. Satty: I'm sure Bush will "find a way" to go to war with Iran in the next two years. Unfortunately, the reason will be in the form of a mushroom cloud. I just hope no one on C&G is in the middle of it. Edit: Wow, you can read me like a book! You sound amazingly like a liberal who resorts to name calling when he doesn't like someone's opinions. So much for the "open mind" stereotype. Now back on topic...
  10. I'm still bisexual (in case anyone was wondering (or interested)) and I would never have the balls to hit on a guy so openly. I might use my eyes or drop some very subtle hints to let him know what's up (no pun intended) but I could never say something like..."Nice ass!" I'll have to search for those photos and wait for new ones to be posted. To expand on what Bob said about bisexual people he knows and how sexuality isn't a big thing for them: I agree. Either we like (almost) everyone and don't have a problem "ewww, boobies" or "nasty homo" or we don't like the extremes of sexuality. For example, I am both. I like women and men (terms and conditions apply, inquire for more details) but I'm also revolted at the gay Olympics, outrageous hatred for gays/bisexuals and PDA of all shapes and sizes.
  11. Sorry I'm late... The new LaCrosse grille looks good but as someone else said, you can only polish a turd so much. The refreshed Lucerne looks nice. Did GM do some nip/tucking? It looks a bid sharper and more creased.
  12. I'd rather have a dumbass hooked on defense than a dumbass hooked on socialized healthcare, high taxes and incessant regulation over every little aspect of life (ie. any random European leader).
  13. Subuaru is surprising to me as well as Benz.
  14. For some reason I am not buying Bob's assertion that an extra $5,000 will have to be added to the price of a diesel-powered car. Does VW charge a $5,000 premium on its diesels? How about DCX? Honda has been talking about selling diesels in the U.S. market and I highly doubt they will have such a high premium. Note that I am not included Benz and Audi in this discussion because they are luxury manufacturers, they can pretty much charge whatever they want to. My guess is that GM either does not have the diesel expertise to meet mass market emission requirements and/or it would cost a lot of money to build a family of diesels so it would only want to build one or two engines to sell in other parts of the world. Perhaps DCX and VW can sell their vehicles in the U.S. without such a high premium because they actually have a family of diesel engines and what they sell in other parts of the world subsidize what they sell in the U.S.?
  15. The 4-door model is amazing. Sat in one at the auto show and I wouldn't mind owning one. I think the new Wrangler's side profile looks great and that green color fits the car perfectly.
  16. The interior grab handle isn't that cool or interesting but the self-healing possibilities and drop-down air dams are.
  17. Releasing the Imperial as we have all seen it would be hammering another nail in Chrysler's coffin.
  18. Apparently, refineries have to shut down in order to switch from winter blend fuel to summer blend, which has extra chemicals to help cut smog and pollution. This leads to a shortage of supply for the time being and the rest is classic supply and demand. I say it's just another way to increase the price. By the way, I discovered this in a recent newspaper article so I'm not pulling it out of somewhere. As others have said, I'd like to see gains on a monthly basis across the sales spectrum (not just pickups, large SUVs) before throwing a party. It is a good start, though. I haven't seen many GMT900 trucks around my area but the SUVs are just about everywhere.
  19. It's one thing if this is a widespread problem. It's another when it happens twice and people are just looking to make an easy buck.
  20. Doesn't look too bad. I'm not a huge fan of the character line and front 1/4 area. The interior is different and looks pretty cool. I was scared after seeing that spy photo but it seems the PlaySkool interior was either refined or what we saw was a decoy.
  21. I can do without the new fascia but the XJ really is a great car.
  22. It's no longer worth going to college on a multitude of levels.
  23. Why should the government step in? No one forced GM to sign those obscene contracts that included equally obscene healthcare and retirement benefits. Involving government would do nothing but allow GM management and unions to get away with highway robbery, not to mention create a dangerous slope.
  24. All workers should be paying at least 25% of their healthcare costs. Edit: I also wonder if GM has looked at innovative solutions that other companies have employed such as privately run doctors offices and pharmacies on plant grounds? From what I understand some companies have lowered costs this way.
  25. I agree. The back windows look pretty cool.
