  1. I am betting that DOD comes with the 6 speed autos. The computer tuning would have been done in conjunction since it would take longer. The 6 speed autos are just taking a little longer than the new engine to get to market.
  2. Why would they mention the Camry and Fusion in this argument? The Impala is Fullsize like the 500 and Avalon. Oh yeah gotta stack the deck out of GMs favor.
  3. No but All Corvettes Are Red the rest are just mistakes.
  4. It has been noted that at least some of the GMT900s will debut at the Texas state fair. So I would assume that Chevy, in particular, will need something new to bring in the crowds. If this concept car is the make or break for a production consideration it COULD have enough impact to warrent it shown. It could also not show up, just depends on what is picked. But hey if SS is saying, you REALLY should come to the show on CZ28.com then I think something of Camaro intrest will be there.
  5. I have not heard that it was cancelled. It would be the BAS system which is very simple so I would guess it is still on. Same system would be on the Vue greenline and Aura Greenline.
  6. Looks like a good concept for a go-cart.
  7. AH-HA that contradicts a LOT of what we have heard from a number of fronts. Are you saying there won't be a concept with the Camaro name on it? Maybe a RWD V8 coupe with another name?
  8. That contridicts a lot of what we heard. I would like to know where you got that quote from. Edit found the quote I am waiting on a response from AH-HA. Just to many people and places saying look for a Camaro concept at NAIAS. I am thinking it may be the Camaro concept but will not carry the name.
  9. If I had the cash I would like to get a 81 TTA and justs see what I could get out of it with a fuel injection system, intercooler, and revised turbo plumbing. It would be an effort in futility but still could be fun.
  10. That steering wheel seems a little out of place. I think the GMT360 and later GMT900 wheel, which is more square, would be a little better in its place.
  11. Notice no hp number on the badge. Apparently there IS more than 505 hp going into the Z06.

    GMC Acadia?

UV8 sounds like it will be an ultra V8. Also since the displacement was supposed to go to 4.7L so I would guess that Caddy will have the highest displacment like how olds got the 4.0 version of the N*.
  13. Everyone could just do what I do. When I come to the site I just click view new posts. That way I don't miss something. I would like it if we could add a link within each post that takes you to unviewed posts within that thread. They have it on GMI and Cz28 and I like it very much. It makes it easier to keep up with threads that are very long.
  14. That is my bet too. He says look guys we get all this profit from the sale and EVERYONE makes money instantly. Then once the sale is complete and he has his money he dumps his shares and GM's stock price goes through the floor. Mark my words this is NOT good.
  15. Now see that is what happens when you let to many fat chicks ride shotgun/  Seriously VERY nice GOAT.
  16. So your considering it then, good. I won't be able to make it. Gotta conserve the dough will be moving to St. Louis next spring buying a house and starting Chiropractic College. Maybe one of you guys can steal the concept and run it down to Louisville so I can gawk at it, sound good?
  17. They would also have more rolling resistance, moving parts to break, and they are heavier. In engineering the simplest, most cost effective, easiest to package solution is the best.
  18. Most of the 'midgrage' gas is just a mixture of the high and low octane. In which case they only have 2 products.
  19. Huh??? What is the point?
  20. If I were in charge of concepts and debuts for GM I would debut Saturn, SAAB, and Hummer ones in LA but keep Chevy and Pontiac in Detroit and Caddy at NY and Buick at Chicago. That way each big brand debuts in its own show, Chevy and Pontiac being the exception. Also LA is more import territory and Detroit and the midwest are more Big 3 friendly.
  21. I agree I think the BAS should replace the starter on ALL models. Think of it this way, you now have a car that has no separate starter, pretty much no chance of grinding teeth off the flywheel. The car shuts off at stoplights and the driver can pretty much never tell a difference. What is the problem with that? OK manual cars won't be able to shut off because they have to hold their place when stopped but still put BAS in cars across the line and the reduced costs of no starter and spead out cost of the BAS system will pay for itself in 1 year.
  22. Louisville is still hovering at $3.00/gal but two Thortons had it for $2.85. I filled up on Tues so I am ok. Where in KY are you at?

    GMC Acadia?

I wasn't looking for an educated guess I was looking for confirmation. BTW there will be no FWD 5 speeds. I just want to know if the V8 will be the 5.3 LS4 or the FWD N*. Both have been mentioned.
  24. Using IE at work it looks fine. Will check FF tonight and see how it looks.
