  1. 2:00 and time to answer. Panther was the name that would have been on the Chevy F-body coupe except that Chevrolet decided that all new names would begin with 'C', Caprice, Cameo, Chevelle. Although it didn't last a long time Monte Carlo came out in what, 71 or 72. But that is why Camaro was picked as the name of the Chevy F body coupe instead of Panther.
  2. evok I know it is just a mock up but hey it does share some lines with the Antara.
  3. This one is to easy 68. I will let someone else take a few guesses and if nobdy gets it I will answer it around 2 EST.
  4. Hey there is nothing wrong with having 3 nipples. BTW the ladies love it.
  5. Hmmm.... Care of a GM employee discount commercial.
  6. BTW regfootball, The 500 is selling VERY well espeically in my area, I see at least 8-10 a day.
  7. It is [based] on a production car. Guess which one? No fair looking off the website either.
  8. So funny because I had a Chemistry proff that had a 1990 SAAB 9000 back in 2000.
  9. Miller cycle engines use lower displacement than Otto Cycle engines. The Mazda 2.3 6 cyl Miller comes to mind as one. It is said to be a very smoother efficient powertrain. It has been around for years and makes 200ish HP. If the Miller system is applied to the 2.4 Boxer I think the displacement would drop making it more efficient and then when need the hybrid system would kick into place and add torque. It sounds like a good idea but I don't know if the Miller Cycle has been used with a Turbo. All the ones I have read about are supercharged. Quick explanation of Miller cycle is that static compression is lowered and the intake valve is left open allowing the supercharger to help compress the air within the cylinder. It is VERY efficient and has been around since like the 420s.
  10. Spring Hill is building Epsilon crossovers or Thetas I can't remember which of the 2 right now. Doraville will most likely build the Lambda Minivans. Oshwa is flexible building ready and is MY best guess at where the next RWD cars will be built but it won't "technically be Zeta". The cars will have more in common with Sigma than Zeta because Zeta was VE and that is designed to be built on the type of line that Holden uses. GMNA uses lines that build things differently. Sigma IS the basis of all RWD GM cars except Kappa and Y-body based ones.
  11. Something like this? http://photobucket.com/albums/b152/91z4me/...ro%20confusion/
  12. Actually C5 powertrain was tested in Camaro bodies. The Corvette Alphas and Betas were ALL C5. In fact there was the Cerv4 test car that was built outside GM and it was completed and driven on the street with C4 panels on it back in 1993.
  13. Photoshop of what it may look like.
  14. It isn't 100% but it is about as close as the Aura concept was to the production, IMO. Seriously you WON'T see side exhaust pipes.
  15. I was wrong actually. Jim Dunne is quoted in ACAR to say "in 1982 he got a photo of a C4 being run on public road in Michgan...The photo, Dunne said not altogether faceiously, put one of his daughters through two years at Michgan State." Now put that into todays dollars and you could easily get $50k. BTW Brenda Priddy is mentioned pretty boldly.
  16. They did say they were delaying the program to pull ahead the 900s. But they also said they cancelled the Zeta program. But what was Zeta more than a name?
  17. Norhtie the picture is of a clay model wrapped in foil it is known as a clown car or clown model. We all know how easy it is to change clay. Also who is to say that the GMC or the Hummer ever made it beyond the small model stage?
  18. Why am I getting an uber* strong Volkswagon vibe from this. *Notice the use of the German word uber. Its a pun people you are supposed to laugh.
  19. Agreed.
  20. DAMN that is sexy. I wanna see the front, hell I don't care what I see just show me more!
  21. Obviously the Jeep. It could climb on one of those ugly little buggers no problem, even in a drunken stupor. The Smart on the other hand couldn't clim a 4 inch curb without bottoming out.
  22. Yep about what I was thinking when I first saw that spy photo of the GMC. I must say I am VERY interested in the 'sub theta' architecture. Also I notice that there seems to be some very coupe like lines in all but the GMC's roofline. Could this GMC actually be a Hx? It seems to just be a clay so no telling.
  23. Are you sure they were deemed to expensive? Or were they to expensive to do right now? They would have taken engineering and money away from GMT900 pre-production which is now done. Guess that money is now available.
  24. I have a feeling there is a LOT of photographers looking to score BIG on this. The first spy photo of the C5 corvette fetched near $50,000. CD/BP how much are you guys offering, if it is legitimately taken?
  25. Semi trucks use 10-16 speed manuals. They shift through the gear set and then hit a button and go back through the gears.
