  1. [cough]Dealershow?![/cough] Sorry about that I think I am coming down w/ something...but not me I am in MO.
  2. Catch me up here folks I don't know much about the law (specifcally international law) How is someone who holds no status in a country able to sue in that country?
  3. I don't really follow the Chrysler circles like I do GM but I have heard it constantly mentioned that the Caliber is NOT the Neon replacement. It is more like a Dodge version of the initially popular PT. The Neon replacement will be built from the same chassis as the Lancer IIRC and should be a very strong contender in its segment IF they get the styling right.
  4. SD makes me think of Super Duty Pontiac engines and the venerable SD4 3.0 I4. 290 makes me think of 290 hp/290 ft/lbs.
  5. I think everyone will agree the Compass should be the first to go. Take the Compass tooling and make a replacement for the PT if you need to do something w/ the tooling. Next in line is the Aspen/Durango. Neither are doing well and both are not only low in their class rankings but horrible in the gas mileage department. Take the Commander chassis and redo it to a decent looking large/midsize 7 seat Durango and make an on road sport tuned version of the Grand Cherokee for Chrysler. The Patriot is exactly what it should be, only get rid of the FWD model and make it awd/4wd only. The Liberty/Nitro are OK but I would like to see a pickup version to replace the Dakota (something like the M80 concept would do great). The Avenger needs a different name and look. The styling would have made a great Charger update but do you really need a mini-me Charger? The Sebring actually just needs a restyle on the C pillar and rear end (though I haven't seen the interior in person to know how that part looks). The Caliber is doing very well and remember it isn't replacing the Neon, that replacement is still coming. What I see that Chrysler doesn't have that it will need, should it want to be taken seriously as a luxury brand and a world class car maker, is a compact RWD sports chassis. A Phoenix V6/Hemi V8 powered balanced RWD sedan/coupe/vert could definitely bring credit to the company.
  6. Because GM isn't launching any new models at all right?
  7. Alright guys lets pepper thegriffon w/ questions it appears as though someone found the combination to his information safe.
  8. That is completely inexcusable. First we have Camry transmission problems then the Tundra bed dancing, FJ structure cracking, and now this. I see a big backlash brewing for Toyota...and it can't come fast enough.
  9. I gotta say I didn't read the whole thread but this thread is something other than what I would have expect from you griff. I kinda pictured you as a DOHC turbo 4 cylinder guy (likely due to your SAAB associated name/avatar). But still a pleasant surprise.
  10. Hows about this then: Car lineup being ATS / CTS/ STS and truck lineup being BRX / SRX (until it gets canned) / Escalade?
  11. I don't really know why but I get quite a Firepower vibe from this sedan.
  12. I think the Ford 49 concept would have done great on a LWB version of DEW98 Maybe something like the Holden Efijy Or Buick Blackhawk. I have always like this idea and this particular concept.

    A Mini SAV?

  15. But the current Z06 uses an extremely light weight, high strength aluminum chassis and has at least some CF body panels. Sure the BD will get more CF but there isn't all that much weight to be rung out of the chassis, without compromising the integrity of said chassis.
  16. Wait a minute...Did I read that right? You think the C6 coupe is to heavy? Try comparing it to any other high powered sports coupe (and remember it is lighter than almost any 2 seater except the kappa triplets or Miata).
  17. The STS/new CTS and I believe the Zeta cars are both 72" wide. How much wider do they need to be?
  18. From what I remember around 2000 all LS V8 blocks were cast in Mexico. But the LS7 is assembled in Michigan.
  19. So would 'someone' like to comment about an increase in trunk/hatch space?
  20. Your missing the point that both of those vehicles still have the awd system on them, hence more weight vs a 2wd version.
  21. I highly doubt that since rear mounted transmissions are acutally becoming more normal in the supercar league (AM for instance). Also ZL-1 the current C6 and the C5 to boot were both front mid engined.
