evok has already said that Spring Hill will build T/E, theta Epsilon, crossovers. It seems as though the answer depends on which Zeta. The US Zeta/Sigma lite will be in one plant and the Aus Zeta/VE may end up being made in the US also. The bets are one at Willmington to use up extra capacity and one moving to the Oshwa car plant that is staying open. My money says if VE comes to the US it goes to Willmington and is only used for Buicks and Pontiacs and Sigma lite goes to Oshwa. If VE doesn't come to the US look for Sigma lite to still go to Oshwa. It is VERY exciting times for RWD GM enthusiests.

Josh so long as you don't do what GMI is doing. They started 2 different things I don't really like. One is a google ad as the 2nd post of every topic. Who said it is abandoning it? I would say it is evolving it, like BMW did with the previous generation of its models, specifically the 3 series.

There ain't that much debt. Guys GM may have some problems but it is worth FAR more than the stock price right now. If GM sold off all of GMAC tomorrow it would fetch a few billion alone. That doesn't include any factories or its investments in other areas such as minority intrest in Hughes, formerly GM Hughes that Direct TV company. If GM is only worth 13 billion then it is a freakin' steal and could be bought up broken apart and sold off in parcels for TONS of money.

Rumors tell of GM doing this on some GMT800 suburbans but decided that it wasn't worth all the trouble. Though that may have changed with the market shift.

How is GM worth only $13 Billion when they have that cash? Do we not forget all of GMs operations worldwide? GM is worth WAY more than $13 billion.

GM had those doors on the Astro/Safari vans, at least as an option. I do belive they even had them before the Excursion did. Why GM didn't option them on the 800s I couldn't even venture to guess.

I know that but who is to say a new unibody couldn't be used? A new unibody using the same suspension and electronics shouldn't be to expensive. And it could be assembled in the same factory, albeit a different line, as the 2 seat Kappa.

To plant 400 hp and launch well you will definately need wider tires. And they need to be performance tires not runflats, drag radials for instance.

Do we have any idea what size rubber a Solstice wears? I am guessing less than a 265 series tire.

hp to weight doesn't mean jack for fuel economy. It doesn't take gearing or CD into consideration. The Charger seems to get better gas mileage. All this despite being MUCH heavier and having a larger engine AND being shaped like a brick. If anything the Dodge should have gotten MUCH worse mileage than the smaller car with the tiny engine. It goes to show that in the rear world the whole car matters not just numbers.
