  1. Yeah he did all this himself. None of it was planned before hand.
  2. Found some guy trying to take a nap in a crate.
  3. AH-HA I see you watching. :AH-HA_wink: Hopefully you will drop another hint.
  4. Let Toyota show their trucks and get the spolight for a month or so and then show off the Trucks in NY and get a lot more press coverage. Also they wanna see exactly what Toyota has to offer, even if they can't change anything this late in the game.
  5. Charlie knows Scott. He was one of the lucky to get to go to Detroit.
  6. Hell Yeah! That is how you drive a Hummer!
  7. Which explains why there will be no Maxx on the next Maliibu. So let me see if I get this. Malibu gets a refresh and goes LWB as a true sedan, not 5 door like the Maxx. Then the EPII Malibu comes out around 2010. Did I get it right?
  8. The Maxx already has a 112.3 wheelbase, the Nox has a 112.5 wheelbase. I don't forsee any need to lengthen them. Here is the legroom comparison Equinox: Legroom (Front)41.2Legroom (Row 2)40.2 Malibu Maxx: Legroom (Front)41.9Legroom (Row 2)41.0 Impala: Legroom (Front)42.3Legroom (Row 2)37.6
  9. The already own the west coast. A plant in KY, TX, partial ownership and production should start at West Lafayette, IN soon, add in MI and Toyota will have quite a few plants in the US. That will be key to them overtaking the GM and Ford faithful. If Toyota can get the Big 3 die hards to switch in MI then I don't see to much stopping them from becoming number one. Also with all the lost work in Flint and other MI cities due to closures of Big 3 plants I can very well see the residents being perfectly willing to switch their allegiance to Toyota, and who can blame them? Edit: I forgot their truck plant in southern IN.
  10. So any imput on which dimensions will increase, besides weight.
  11. DB9 dimensions SAAB 9-3 (smallest Delta) G6 convertible (longest Delta) Length 185.4 in. 182.5" 189.1 Width 73.8 in. 69" 70.6 Height 50 in. 56.8" 56.7 So it seems as though Epsilon II could be the starting point for this concept and it could head for production. I predict a 300 hp version of the Turbo HF V6 with AWD and SAAB's new face.
  12. I would definately consider the 3.5 shorstar in an Auruar 2.0. I knew a guy that had one, and it was RATHER nice. He also said the gas mileage wasn't to bad either.
  13. DB9, isn't that a fairly large coupe, GTO size? And a 2 door at that. I am guessing it won't have a 4 cylinder engine.

But AH-HA indicated that it would be a Lordstown car and in production within a year. Are you talking about something further down the line?Alright insiders please dumb this down for me I got lost around that last left at Albuquerque.
  15. I think it has to do with spacing. Sure there are more Chevy dealers but that means there is a greater likely hood that 2 are near each other and therefore canibalize sales. I know within the Louisville, KY area there are at least 6 different Chevy dealers. And everyone has to get their cut. The result is less vehicles sold per dealer, lower inventory levels also play a role as less versions of a particular vehicle are instantly available.
  16. Have you heard anything about an increase in width on EPII?

Unique Cobalt varient means to me that the Canadian Pontiac Delta will not be a Cobalt clone anymore. It will get slightly different sheet metal as shown in the chop, which is like a stylized Cobalt, and a new interior.
  18. evok, I was merely stating that as soon as something bad was said about a Honda the Honda guys came out of the hole to support it faster than an Olympic sprinter. Whereas others can generally accept problems with cars, GM being the one discussed here majorly. Also there are substancial problems should a few of those complaints on EITHER car be true. Cracked blocks are a VERY bad problem and I can't see any reason why ANY manufacturer would allow that to happen in today's market. Also losing control of your wheels due to power steering problems presents and even greater danger than a cracked block, IMO.
  19. We have read that the next Malibu will be larger and fill the role of the current Impala and Malibu combined and will ride on EPII. After seeing a MaXX and a Equinox next to each other in a parking lot yesterday something occurred to me: What if EPII shared some parts of Theta? Here is the chart I made with the dimensions: Equinox MaXX Impala Length 188.8 187.8 200.4 Width 71.4 69.8 72.9 Height 69.3 58.1 58.7 As you can see the in some dimensions the Equinox is quite close to the current Impala and if made more car like through the use of parts of the current Epsilon unibody I feel that a very viable car could be produced rather quickly in cheaply. If we took the long Theta platform and added only 11.6 inches to it we would then have an overall length the same as the current Impala and we should have a VERY large trunk along with more room for passengers, than the current Thetas. The width is also very similar and if they keep the door thicknesses the same as the Malibu it would probably have as much or more passenger room, as far as width. What do you guy’s think? Could Epsilon grow to near Impala size by using Theta pieces? Also by sharing parts with Theta costs could be reduced while adding things, like AWD.
  20. It is interesting to see the pro-importers come out of the woodwork to defend Honda or Toyota when there are numerous reports of substancial problems with vehicles.

    G5

Thought I would bring that to this thread just so people can compare it to the Pursuit. Pursuit

    G5

Actually that is the Pursuit. Your link says nothing about G5 and no badging indicates that either. BTW you may want to read what AH-HA has posted again.

AH-HA just said it would be built at Lordstown this year so it will be Delta based, likely not related to the HHR, so probably a sedan. I am going to go with a number of others and guess the ION replacement that was shown on C&G will be rebadged to a Pontiac. Anyone wanna photochop something up?
