  1. So it finally comes out! You think that Rick is trying to destroy your dealer buddies lively hoods! So you DO have a personal vendetta! The truth shall set you free!!! Also lets remember 1 thing besides personal things: there are LOTS of factors why GM's marketshare has fallen, many beyond the CEO's control. The rise of Toyota's products. The anti American biased media. The HUGE increase in healthcare costs. Rick is taking the company where it needs to go to survive. Do you disagree with the fact that GM needs to be a global company? Do you disagree with the fact that cars costing as little as the Aveo must be assembled in lower cost plants, overseas? Do you not understand all the problems that Roger Smith started when he diversified the company and built huge robotic plants in the 80s? Come on Jim dig your head out of the sand and see the light. All of GMs problems CAN'T be placed on one person, PERIOD! Quick put on your tinfoil hat so the Illuminati can't read your mind!
  2. Wheather or not Zeta is based on VE will not effect the lead time on suppliers and tooling. That is when the clock starts for production Camaro and we will likely hear things the same day that suppliers do. The question is how much time is there between now and the day suppliers and tool companies start getting work orders. Lutz said that a decision would be made within 6 monts of the debut. That means that the business case is still being built which means that only engineering/tooling/supply work which is being done on VE, which has been approved, is being done. Engineering evaluation mules may have been or are being created BUT that doesn't mean the program is approved and that the clock has started.MY quesiton for those who know is: Once suppliers/tooling companies get the work orders/make bids how long will it take to get the production line up and running?
  3. And with only 375 hp. It got 400 in 1994 if I remember right.
  4. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b152/91z...arosigsmall.jpgHere is the URL of a smaller one I made for GMI. I think you can tell the board to use that url and it will automatically shrink it to fit, I don't know for sure though. And Charlie the name is Casey. Edit: I just tried it and it works for me.
  5. Saw this in the locked thread and just wanted to clarify since my name was brought up. The bulk of vehicle platform work on Camaro is being done in Australia right now, but there is still work - design, powertrain, etc., etc., being done here in NA. There are no secret Australian programs. It would be silly for GM to even work that way. Are there a bunch of Camaros running around down under? Probably not. Just guessing, but they may be at the point where mules are finally being built. And when I say mules, I don't mean real Camaros. I mean validation work being done on donor VE Commodores (or whatever), for example. I put you in that post because you and evok are in the longer timeframe camp together. I assumed that you were recieving at least some of the same information. No hard feelings I hope.
  6. Mods how about we close this thread since it is getting us nowhere but frustrated?
  7. Lets put it like this so the debate is settled: evok and chazman have contacts/sources/information that specifically state that the car is NOT being marked as either an 07 or 08. Chazman has actually said that no work was going on in NA on the car. I think evok has stated that there is no approved program right now. Is this right guys? Now there is another camp, GuionM specifically, who has lead people to believe, based on sources, that Holden is running full steam ahead with the Camaro based upon their sources. That being said either evok and Chaz aren't gettting the full story, the work that is going on is not an official program and so those who should know about it don't, or the car is not being worked on at the moment. Now can we call this argument quits?
  8. Is that just outside of Gatlinburg? It looks like a spot that my wife and I stopped at when we were down there last November.
  9. That was the Caddy 4-6-8 not Olds.
  10. Yep, it was a wall paper they had that I cropped.
  11. Probably the C4 with a stick on top end and the TTA in acceleration.
  12. 6.6 Duramax with the 6 speed auto.
  13. Unfortunately I think the changes will be more than anyone one wants and in the end will be bad news for everyone in the automotive sector, except stock holders.
  14. I really hoped you would argue that fact just to see how many people would argue with you for it. Your word is kinda golden around here, evok.
  15. Actually you can use used frying oil, if filtered properly, and with additives to make your own Biodiesel. I saw it on Trucks the TV show and it looked pretty simple.
  16. The GMX002 Ion, replacement that was supposed to be built in Lordstown was canned. The Ion replacement will be the Astra imported to the US from Europe, or built in NA but designed and engineered as an Opel. Did that help?
  17. Because Buick is the most important brand at GM right? Face it you DON'T know how to be objective on the subject and because of where you are and your lack of diversity of experience. You are NOT the person to tell GM what to do.
  18. Some are sold in the US now so I don't think they will have to change to much stuff.BTW McDonalds sales will go up if everyone is driving around in cars that smell like french fries. Also I am very excited about this. Hopefully that 2.9 V6 finds its way into a GMT355 truck or SUV!
  19. Did you shoot this Chris? If so any larger res versions going to be showing up? Windy days help when you are shooting don't they?
  20. Fly, Josh, I thought buickman was banned from here a while ago. BTW Jim, I have a feeling if you try to call for Rick's removal again you may be laughed out of the room.
  21. Here locally there is a 4x2 Trailblazer 4.2 with paint, lightbar, and pushbar. It looks pretty cool.
  22. Like those transitions sunglasses. Would an oncoming car make them darken though? Also how long does it take to change?Still would be cool. How about vents built into the headliner? I know they have it in SUVs but in cars. That way it doesn't take up dash space, which can be limited, and you can still get it to blow on you.
  23. I think you are thinking of the variable compression system. It tilted the head to 1 side so the compression was raised or lowered based on the head position. He means actually changing the stroke, most likely on the connecting rod. Go from a long rod to a shorter rod and you can change the stroke.
  24. Did they know who you as Hudson? One of these days I will make it to a big show an look you up, consider that a promise.
