Josh really if you don't like it then just leave. Nobody is stopping you from leaving here and not posting anymore.

For just a second I did think it was Josh.

    ....

I like it. I can just imagine a regular cab SS version with a 403 hp V8 and 6 speed auto stick ready to go.

Or getting a time bomb outside before it goes boom.
  5. Casted, so different block. The 3.9 VVT along with the 303 hp LS4 was replacing the n/a 3800 and SC 3800 right? Well it pretty did that. Now the Base G6 is the only one with the 3500 the 3900 is standard on GTs. The Impala is keeping the 3.9 as midlevel motor, and we can infer that the re-skinned GP and Lacrosse will use the same engine lineup, though likely without the 3500, till they move off the W-body. Now what else would use the 3900 right now? Nothing right that is still a lot of volume.
  6. Its Casey and I will be sure to introduce myself in September. Thanks for the compliment, it means a lot coming from you.

No they wouldn't. Sony is a global company that supplies products on several different market levels on a massive global scale. My experience was in a high end Sony friendly midwestern large city within an upscale area of the city. That my friend is NOT indicative of 10% of the midwest US market and much less than 1% of the global consumer electronics business that Sony does. That my friend is a matter of perspective, something YOU seem to have down pat, note the sarcasm. Perhaps you should read Angels & Demons by Dan Brown, author of the Da Vinci Code it may offer a point of view different than yours. It is centered around the Iluminati who Richard Wagner must be a part of to be pre-ordained as Chairman of one of the largest companies in the world.
  8. No the block was completely different b/c the tranny bolt pattern is different. As far as the 3.5 being the base model I doubt that. All the other VE/Sigma cars have the HF V6 as their only V6's so I thinkt he Zetas will all use the HF as the base as well. The 3.9 VVT will likely replace the 3.5's across the board within 3 years. I expect the 3.6 DOHC will have 2 different HP outputs.
  9. Same tranny in the 06+Impala and older one but the 3.8 in the Camaro had a completely different block, intake, and heads.

I went from never selling anything and my first month in consumer electronics sales I led: my store, my region, and had the highest extended warrenty penetration of anyone in the city! Does that mean that I could go to Sony and tell them how to run their company? NO!If I didn't have a different career path I would still be leading my region in sales. Oh and that was selling EVERYTHING at MSRP or with slight discounts, <6% of MSRP! I had NO employee sales.

    THAT I would watch, 100%!
  13. Josh I have supported you and back you up for quite a while. The Outlook fiasco is once instance where I backed you to my own detriment in the minds of many. I have watched as your posts have fallen from graceful and informed to backbiting bickering that occurs between siblings, between you and C&G. Pherhaps your thegmsource will fare better but I sincerely doubt that will happen as you can't seem to keep a fair and open opinion about many topics. As for Jim, your plan won't work everwhere and most parts should not be directed at GM management but instead should be directed at regional dealer bodies because they are dealer centric (as is your level of experience). You do not bear enough corprate or engineering or design experience to field a job such as CEO or COB of GM. Also it would take you at least 12-24 months to understand exactly all of the realms of power than you have to manage over, design and cost decisions, or to understand the complex approval structure, which it took Bob Freakin' Lutz 18 months to understand (who by the way has worked at GM prior to this as well as Chrysler, BMW, and I believe Ford.) If it takes someone who has more experience than 80% of Auto company executives and corprate personel that long to undestand just the approval process then how long would it take someone with NO corprate experience to understand all the aspects of CEO?
  14. I thought it was already dead? Sorry Delta with its twist beam rear suspension would get a really bad reputation for handling, deserved or not, in Europe. The next 9-3 is likely to ride on the global compact car platform that GME is developing for the next Astra/Saturn Astra, which will be shared with the US Cobalt. I thought the current 9-3 was built somewhere in Germany with the 9-5 being the only SAAB built at their Trollholland(sp) plant. Actually it will be a re-skinned Caddy BRX and will be on Theta premium/Theta Epsilon. It will be built in the states. Sorry but SAAB is FWD it is a defining brand characteristic. Unmatched FWD handling and performance is essential to SAAB, why the 9-7x get blasted a lot. The next 9-5 will be EPII based and should have AeroX styling thoughout. Might be good for the states but would be to wide for Europe. I think the reaper is already working on this.
  15. Wanna post the companion articles those mags write about the Toyota? Also why not find a review of a non loaded Tahoe?
  16. Dodge is apparently planning the Hemi for usage in the next Minivans so I say why not use a small block, though the 280 ish HP the 3.6 V6 will offer will be more than enough for most soccer moms. Also as far as I know Chevy will get the Lambda Van first and possibly, as in next decade, the GMT360 TB will be replaced by a Lambda crossover van. If/when Chevy does get a Lambda CUV I hope it is a shorter wheelbase and offers only seating for 5, something to make it different than GMC.
  17. Lambda would be to wide for European roads so I think a 3 row Theta would be a better SAAB than a 2 row overly wide Lambda.

Or maybe because a short sighted labor contract written in conjunction with a then powerful, shortly after a major strike, Union allows for thousands to be paid even when their former places of employment are no longer needed due to 1. lower sales and 2. increased per worker output and increased output at each factory. The world is not as easy to pigeon-hole as that.
  19. If GM makes a lot of change to Kappa for Kappa II (to make it more flexible) it won't really be Kappa but it would likely carry som suspension components, though the hydroformed frame rails would likely be gone. I think G6 will stay FWD for the next gen on EPII, maybe getting optional AWD but definately not going RWD just yet. Maybe G8 would be the SWB VE sedan with the GTO's front end on it, I know GM was thinking about doing this at one point. Saturn and SAAB will both have 5 door hatches with Saturn on the low end. I think the 5 door Astra would pull in quite a few of the Vibe's buyers with the HHR pulling in some more. I say let it die it seems to be kept around more to keep GM in touch what Toyota is doing with their build techniques and CAMI than to be a viable model, though it is likely profitable. Should have happened this gen I even made a chop of it when Torrent debuted and it looked really freakin' good. Agreed! Bonnie would be very low volume, 25K-30K per year, I say let Buick handle that with the LWB Zeta and let Pontiac concentrate on Sport rather than Lux. They are in the same showroom afterall.

I am... Edit: I had to look #24 lowest person in the thread so far!
  21. I honestly think I like the white car, that 68 posted, better than the Camaro. Now THAT is something!
  22. That looks AWESOME!!!Better stance than a BMW M3, and they know how to do it right.

    Death of the V8?

Hudson is saying that nobody makes V4s but everyone makes I4s, Inline. Perhaps if you had small facts together people might take you seriously.

    Death of the V8?

Is there not a 300 HP version of the I6 in the M3? Why isn't that available in the 5 series?BTW great choice, though I preffer the exterior of the older 5 series better.
