  1. I have a feeling the next 9-3 will end up on GME's next compact architecture, which will underpin the Astra. It will be AWD capable, have lots of engines available, and have full independent rear suspension.
  2. Yeah, and he was showing them again and making reffrence to when the actual car will debut.
  3. I would bang her like a screen door during a hurricane!
  4. I wonder if this is on the new Daewoo developed global platform or a Suzuki platform?
  5. The vehicles weren't ignored, the managment made decisions based upon putting funding to use in the most profitable areas,SUVs and trucks. At the time it was a wise investment. The lower qualities of interior materials and re-badging were cost saving measures that were instituted to provide some sort of product for the divisions to sell. Otherwise there would have been a Chevy of each model line and that would have been it. But badge engineering hasn't been a problem of GMs since about the mid 90s on. The Trucks and SUVs are the only badge engineered vehicles, GMT400/GMT360s, S-series, GMT355s. The cars were all a little different from each other, except the Century/Regal which was more like to 2 different trim lines than different models. You may say it was unwise to invest top heavy into SUVs now but at the time I am sure that, like most dealers, you would liked to have had a couple of high margin, high cost SUVs on your lots to sell. Hindsight is 20/20, think what it was like at the time.
  6. Caddy should do one that Hyundai can't copy called: "The First Luxury auto maker and ONLY auto maker to be called "The Standard of the World!"-Copy that Hyundai!"
  7. Wait...wasn't it you that said that your plan could remedy GMs problems reguardless of product? Who said the Park Ave and Lesabre were fine the way they were?
  8. Lets clear this up about moonshine vs rubbing alcohol quick before someone tries either. Both can be very dangerous. Moonshine, distilled alcohol made from fermented grain, can be quite safe, IF distilled properly. Moonshine because of the way it is made, ie not professional, can contain small to moderate amounts of 'wood alcohol' or menthanol which is very similar to drinking alcohol or ethanol. In fact the only difference is that ethanol has an extra Carbon and 2 hydrogen atoms in the molecule. That may not sound to bad except when your body metabolizes ethanol it becomes lactic acid, which can cause hangovers and make you feel like crap, that is relatively harmless. When your body applies the same breakdown on Methanol it turns into Formaldehyde, which is VERY toxic and easily deadly! The first thing that will happen is that you will go blind, even with small amounts of methanol, the formaldehyde attacks the retina of the eye. The next is complete systemic organ failure. Rubbing alcohol is isopropyl alcohol which is pretty toxic stuff but not nearly so deadly in small quantities as compared to methanol.I made moonshine in o. chem lab in college and actually got around 160 proof fairly easily. In fact a dude in the class got 190+ proof, the TA was so impressed they took the sample and ran it through the NMR machine to make sure it was that pure. I did not try it, number one because I saw what the crap looked like as it fermented over 2 weeks and second is that I personally don't drink. I just don't like alcohol on a taste/personal level, but to each his own. Do yourself a favor don't EVER try rubbing alcohol and if you try grain alcohol or 'moonshine' burn it first. If the flame burns bright blue, kinda a cobalt blue color, then it is likely safe. If you don't see a flame throw that crap away it is methanol and can kill you!
  9. I thought you were going for the 6 speed 5 series?
  10. Saturn will have the LWB Epsilon Wagon. Chevy will have the HHR and Equinox to compete in that category, both at higher volumes.
  11. Camaro and Impala, no problem lets say they are 80K and 120K per year respectively (I like to be conservative on figures). We can add GTO, 20K per year, Pontiac sedan 40K per year, Buick sedan 40K per year. That adds up to about 300K which Oshawa can do no problem, the Impala is being limited to 250K this year to help with residuals. Now we add in the rumored Buick drop top 10K per year, ElCamino (which would likely be built in Aus since it is such a low volume vehicle and would likely only be sold there) 3K per year, Monaro 8K per year (for Europe, the mideast, and AUS) TOPS. So we have an additional 21K per year. Which even just plant 1 could take care of. Now could the sedans be much higher volume sure but just looking at the numbers shows that the 2 plants should have more than enough volume. Camaro could have a higher initial demand and could be bumped up to 120K no problem. Willmingon could be the initial Zeta plant but would they do that when the main plant will be available shortly thereafter, remember the huge cost of changing over a plant line?
  12. D*mn Wags looks tall in that pic.
  13. Wooo whoo! 1st reply. I am happy beyond words.
  14. I think it varies between years. Last year I think the GM twins won.
  15. Alright forget confirmation by the insiders, it seems they don't know or don't want to talk about it anyways, HERE COMES THE CAMARO!!!
  16. And the GM twins outclass the specs of the Ford F150, and have for years, but the F150 still outsells the Silverado.
  17. While everyone can benefit from going to a chiropractor on a semi-regular basis, there are people whom have come in because they want to know how they can better take care of themselves and after going through an exam and X-rays they only come in once every few months just to maintain themselves. If you wait until you hurt before you go in then obviously there is a problem there. Heck I go regularly now and before I got free service at school and I have no problems. I just like to take care of my spine, you only get 1 you know. Well fixing a problem which has likely be brewing for years takes time. I will come back to this one in a second... Do you know what a 'pinched nerve' really is? Your DC will explain it to you and it will seem SO much more simple than people think it is. And the fix in theory is really, really simple. Basically if you take a look at a spine there are little spaces behind the body of the vertebra and in front of the posterior and inferior of the spinal processes. In the following picture the nerves are the little yellow things. They come out of the 'nerve holes'. These nerve hole are actually not as open and large as they appear on models. What the models show are basic structures, you don't get to see all the muscles and ligaments that surround the vertebra and interconnect them. So that 'nerve hole' is not nearly as large as it appears to be. And whenver you have a 'pinched nerve' it doesn't mean that your vertebra is directly impacting the nerve itself, usually pressure on the nerve causes whatever symptoms you have. Whenever you have a vertebra that is twisted, levo- or dextro-rotory, it makes that 'nerve hole' smaller. Also inflamation and other factors can cause pressure on the nerves. Depending on the amount of pressure and location you can have all your different conditions and symptoms. Now back to your problem bob, if you don't mind can I ask you a few questions about your condition and past medical history on here? If you do not wish to give this information pubically I understand. But I want to demonstrate the process the DC will use to get an idea of what is going on before even touching. Questions: 1. How long has the problem been going on? 2. Where is the problem? 3. How would you describe it? (sharp, dull, burning, achy, numbness, tingling, pins and needles...) 4. How often has this been bothering you since it began most recently? (0-25% of the time, 25-50%, 50-75%, 75-100% of the time) 5. Have you had a problem with this area before? If so how long ago. What helped and what hurt? 6. What have you been doing for this on your own? 7. Do you have any difficulty moving your neck or back without pain? (This will be done via a Range of Motion test in the office but since I cannot see you or be there to offer help if you have problems I will just ask the question.) 8. Can you rate the pain on a scale of 1-10, with 0 being no pain, 4 being an ouch, and 10 being the worst pain you have ever felt)? Again if you don't feel comfortable answering then I totally understand, also I am not a DC I am not even in the DC program yet so all advice I give is based upon my individual personal experience and observation it is NOT medical advice on the level of a Doctor of Chiropractic OR a Medical Doctor.
  18. The silver or fake aluminum makes it look really, really disjointed. Also that center stack looks way to wide. Wider than it has to be.
  19. OK apparently I must be having a hard to breathing with my head where it is but what does "total cash and securities" mean? Is that cash on hand and easily saleable assets?
  20. It is likely to happen after SAAB uses the 2.0 DI Turbo in FWD form. I would say it is possible with the MCE the Cobalt is getting.
  21. A green company w/ the Prius and a gas guzzler w/ the Tundra. But which one will get the Media's press and attention?
  22. GMT360s, the 355s are the Canyon & Colorado & and H3.
