  1. BTW get what YOU want for YOUR car. People fussed at me for buying my S-10 Xtreme two years ago and they said "Why didn't you get a Toyota Tacoma, or a Nissan Frontier?" My response was that I wanted to buy what I wanted to drive, and my 91 S-10 was the best damned vehicle I ever owned and I wanted another S-10. Also I liked what the S-10 had over the others and I just like S-10's. If you are putting your money down for a big purchase such as a car, or home, or whatever, dont let anyone tell you what you should buy because its what they want. Buy what will make you happy, to hell what everyone else wants in YOUR CAR. Plus, a G6 is a damn sexy and good looking car. :CG_all:
  2. Generally for me what always works when buying a new car to get the price down a little bit is to get qoutes from other dealers, or just flat out lie and say: Such and such can get me this car for 500 less, I'd rather buy from you as such and such is further away but thats a better price. Its worked for me both times I bought a new vehicle. Both times though, I had qoutes from other dealers though with some lower prices and the dealer that I was wheeling and dealing with dropped their asking price. Competition is a good thing. Thats my only tip I got and its worked for me both times. Course it doesnt always work I would imagine.
  3. Art & Science at its finest! :D
  4. Nothing like seeing a death wagon putting up big clouds of smoke from burning tires hehe :CG_all:
  5. A buddy of mine used to have a late 60s Caddillac Hearse with a 454 transplanted into it. We did some massive burnouts in that thing and was a hoot to drive around in and see the looks it got us. It was also the best Halloween spooky prop ever during that time of the year.
  6. Because the liver is evil and must be punished? :P
  7. I like many have quit drinking after seeing the bad side of things. My friend who I consider my baby brother was hit not once but twice while crossing the road by drunk drivers in a 3 year span. Both times he is lucky to be alive and being able to walk and function at 100 percent. God was defintely on his side those 2 times as he was hit by cars while crossing on foot and in the right of way btw. I occasionally drink every blue moon. Tomorrow night its me and my friends chilling with my best friend before his marriage on Saturday. Everyone will be drinking but me. They think its odd but someone has to drive them home and look out for em.
  8. Thank you kindly sirs!
  9. I have a question about the previous gen Malibu. Was it a Gm pairing with Toyota that shared a platform? And if so which one and which was the Malibu based off of. Im having a debate with somone on another forum and I need a quick answer lol.
  10. Loved it. And when they start playing the signature music near the end you just get goosebumps because you know whats behind that big sliding door hehe.
  11. I prefer a Rural lifestyle as thats how I've always lived. Ideal situation would be to live out in the countryside with a 20 minute drive at the most away from a city/town/urban area. I just enjoy the freedoms of a rural lifestyle too much to want to live in an urban area. I can make as much noise as I want, shoot my guns at clay targets whenever I want, no crime, I can ride my atv's whenever I want, just a bunch of stuff I can do here that I can't do in the city.
  12. I hate Cantaloupe, Mayo, Gummy Candies of any kind and I hate pies. Thats right I said I dont like Pies. Its like a texture thing I guess. I also dont like strawberries, cherrys or peaches.
  13. Right near work there is : Walker GMC/BMW/Daewoo/Mercedes/Mitsubishi/Saturn. Talk about an odd conglomerate of car brands lol.
  14. I was in two bands loong ago one was called "Bloodhaze" . The other was "Corpus" I used to make fun of my friend Nick because he chose Corpus as the name, I was like so basically we're the band called Body? He hated that lol
  15. You can all come down to Louisiana. I'll make some room and cook up a big ole pot of gumbo.

  19. A truly inspiring person who stood up for what she believed in and helped send a tidal wave of change throughout the nation.
  20. You defintely want Chip Foose "Stealing your car" and doing it over then. Doubt you'll get a 572 Crate and a 6 speed from PMR. Although you might get a tv that faces the road from beneath the trunk so you can watch tv while broke down on the side of the road from their shoddy work. Oh whats that? The TV is focked beyond belief because its on the bottom of the car? You dont say? :P
  21. I loved late Second Gen Blazer ZR2's myself. Wish I could find a good deal on one around here I'd snatch it up in a hearbeat. I loved the look and the tough off road package it already had.
  22. Another case of why past a certain age in people there should be a retest every year if they want to keep their license. Break it up the cost of each test into a quarter of the standard payment one pays every 4 years to renew their license (50 for us La residents) It wont stop this entirely from happening but it would cut down on it some as there seems to be a lot of that with some handicapped elderly citizens driving past their reasonable grasp.
  23. 2.62 for regular around here. Thats down from the 2.69 avg thats been around here now for the last month. However the gas stations along the interstate on the way to work still havn't dropped. Still 2.89 for regular those sick bastards
  24. Oh Suspension and Brakes will be one of the focuses of my project. I wanna tune it for the road and take it to the occasional open days at No Problem Raceway, a road course about 2 hours south of me. http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif
  25. Unfortunately I havn't really done anything with mine yet. I just got it earlier this year but I've been so busy with work I havn't had a chance to throw down on it yet. So far I'll ive done is strip the paint from the front fenders and primered them and the trunk lid so far. I need to get some patch panels for the floor for like 3 spots though. Got lucky the car spent most of its life in here in Louisiana so there isn't a lot of rust. Hopefully when its all said and done it'll look something like that car in my pic except with Torque thrust D wheels on it. Those are the ones with the dark powder coated center and polished lip. I'm thinking of going digital too on the gauge cluster in the car. I've got a Dakota Digital catalog at home that I keep looking at and I think it would be neat to have that.
