  1. I actually just went to the dealer and ordered the parts. Bill totals to $165.50, both the front center deflector and the fender liner/left air deflector. It's rather difficult to get parts around here, and I want this fixed soon, as the broken liner is next to touching the wheel (dangerous). The parts does show much cheaper online, but I don't want to wait that long, not to mention shipping. We up here in Canada are just around to be ripped off for these things.
  2. No, I haven't. Although one air deflector/fender liner did cracked before. Actually the wheel didn't hit the curb, but the plastics under did crack. Only the bottom of the front bumper, not major damage, so that's why I'm replacing the parts myself. The plastics shed into pieces probably because of collective damage (I'm at times pretty bad at front-in parking in spots with those annoying mobile curbs) and the cold weather. I hit a pothole in the past, it took the wheel with it, but the suspension was intact.I guess this is an advantage of long overhangs.
  3. Well I do see trashed G6s once and a while, but given there's only one junkyard in Kitchener-Waterloo, chances are slim. Also, I checked some new parts prices, the parts involved aren't that expensive. I'd rather put new parts on my car. Problem is the site doesn't have the numbers.
  4. Thanks for the link, tried it and didn't turn out the parts I need. I think my car might be a bit too new to have scraps.
  5. Actually I see that Hot Wheels seems to be better than the past. They pay more attention to the interiors and the small details. In the interior, you can see the four gauge pods that are in the real concept.
  6. In the front driver's side. Anybody have the part numbers for the lower deflector and retainers, fender liner and retainers, and the air deflector and the fasteners? It was a light bump, so bumper itself isn't damaged. Thanks!
  7. So this explains why side airbags and rear-end protection is such a big talk these days. Conscious drivers need not fear ramming into people, but idiots ramming into you.
  8. This is what happens when you show off your computer.
  9. Aren't they the ones who made colour burnout tires?
  10. I just went out and got myself a Camaro. I also saw an '07 Escalade, as well as um... a dropped Nissan Titan.
  11. That picture is in China. The plate shows that the truck came from Guilin, Guangxi.
  12. I don't have anything to say about the powertrain, since I find it a bit unfair to compare, actually. The Tundra is preproduction, no indication on this is the luxury model or the worktruck model. The Silverado testes is clearly the worktruck model. Thus there might be a difference in the comparison (e.g. LT vs LTZ trims) But I do agree with them, the interior of the Tundra is overdone, and the gauges are hard to read.
  13. Actually looking again, I don't think the 3.5L and 3.9L will just die yet. The LZE which is based on the LZ4/9 is the only car engine right now that is compatible with E85. The LZ8 3.9L is the only V6 with AFM. I wonder if the 3.6L can be adapted to take these?
  14. After BV's (not so successful) Fiero Fund, I think Fly should start a "Save the Aurora" fund.
  15. Anyone remember that spyshot with duct-tape and cardboard, and it was identified to belong to Toyota? Maybe that was the production vehicle. Edit: This was what I was talking about:
  16. More like an Avalon will smash into the museum, then somehow whacking up a quarter panel. Like a Tundra?
  17. I think the original plan was the G6 was supposed to get an MCE in 2008, but that was cancelled, because the EPII version was shifted earlier. Not sure if that's still the plan right now, given all the talks about killing FWD.I'm still hoping for the original concept of an AWD G6.
  18. You should just send your car to the R.E. Olds Museum, and put a sign on it that says: Flybrian's cursed Aurora. Could it be because you put a big pic of your car on Wikipedia so that Toyota is after it? Sorry to hear about your accident.
  19. Maxtors really depend on which ones you get and if you're lucky. I have several D740X 80GBs which still run up till today, that's like 5+ years old already. The DM9 in my machine, also 80GB is still well and alive. The MaxLine ones are virtually indestructible, too. At my old company we had a RAID NAS which has like 10 of these drives running 24/7, and it didn't fail. One thing though is that Maxtor runs extremely hot, especially the slimline ones. I pulled one out from a machine once, and it literally burned my hand. But hard drive these days... they're all the same. I still remember that old 40MB Seagate in my 386, which is stored now somewhere, but I'm pretty sure if I dig it back out now it still works.
  20. Not to mention the Enclave looks better and way upscale than the Acadia.
  21. I posted a poll for the 2006 GXP concept a while ago: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...?showtopic=7496 It looks like this GXP styling gets very mixed reviews from the poll, but comments-wise only people who disliked it wrote.
  22. Although it looks ricey, I still consider it a sports car. Different suspension, powerful engine, fits the bill. I've been in both the regular and the SS SC, and the SC sure feels different.
  23. The car in front (that's dripping oil) is a Toyota.
