  1. Cruze/Lacetti... I'll take that over a Cobalt.
  2. http://www.autobloggreen.com/2008/07/15/ne...-di-4-cylinder/ This engine sounds like a logical successor to the 2.4L.
  3. For some strange reason I thought that was Blue Granite Metallic / Stealth Gray Metallic. And the 4-lug covers threw me off... I thought they switched to 5-lug now?
  4. Did they actually used that picture? That's like a 2006...
  5. After seeing this picture on Wikipedia, I finally come to understand why the new Aveo hatchback doesn't look right. The lower grille is obscenely large, to a point it makes the car out of balance, but if you look at this Euro version with the front plate, it actually make sense. The front plate hides part of the lower grille, so it makes it looks smaller. Look closely if you see a new Aveo in person, you'll find out that only half of that grille actually has holes. My suggestion is to make it look a bit more like the previous gen 3-door Kalos Sport version (which IMO looks awesome). Put on a front plate holder, then relocate the Chevy badge into the upper grille. Makes the front a bit less offensive and better proportioned, I think. Also, putting the bowtie there would also make cars with the American plate bracket looks retarded. Judging by the size differences the American plate bracket will cover part of the logo.
  6. I'd like to see the same stripe in a black/gold scheme. :AH-HA_wink:
  7. Not sure about the bumper. It looks almost as if because people complained the G6 GXP grille was too tall, then went and make this too short. If it was a wee-bit taller and actually more aligned with where the headlights cut off it would better. But still I would rather see them just use the Clubsport R8 / VXR8 bumper:
  8. Not red as in pure red like the current Pontiacs, but the gauge design look like it came off an Impala SS with the letters arranged like on a Sky, if you know what I mean. And definitely the bowtie radio display isn't. And yeah, that is the combo, according to the order guide the base coupe is standard with 6-speed and 2.4L.
  9. Red dash lighting is gone it seems.
  10. So even Korea gets ahead of us now. They get the Cruze even before we do. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/30/gm-laun...cetti-premiere/ EDIT: More pics here: http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2008/10/2009-...hevy-cruze.html
  11. You forgot about the Crossfire. Car's gone, but platform is still there.
  12. It's from the Astra sedan launch a while back, but every time I see it, I still go WTF.
  13. Found this... http://www.acmeautoleasing.com/index.php?o...&Itemid=162 So we are getting a new centre stack.
  14. QUOTE (moltar @ Oct 24 2008, 12:23 AM) Well, I guess if they hadn't moved Pontiac to alphanumeric names, it would likely have been badged as a Sunfire.. Pontiac Pursuit.
  15. I don't quite get the logic... Isn't it better to accelerate it to the market and start selling them earlier? How does delaying save money?
  16. G6 gets the 2009.5 Update. Not quite what we want, but it is an update nonetheless. Holden replaced the Vectra with the Epica (a.k.a. Daewoo Tosca).
  17. I'm hoping they're not pulling an IS-F on those tailpipes. I think I see an actual pipe behind the bumper integrated exhaust. But I'll see how it is on the actual car.
  18. Looks like it's built on the Toronado platform.
  19. Then the only thing new is the paddles. The functionality has always been there. Some other changes I noticed: - They say in addition to the new (god-awful) bumper, there's a new instrument cluster and exhaust tip as well. - Two-tone seats are back! Didn't say what colours though. - A base 4-banger coupe! Finally! Still no manual though but 6-speed is standard. - The god-awful GT Street edition (a.k.a. faux GXP bodykit) is gone. That's a start, now get rid of it on the GXP and bring back the GTP. - Chrome wheel covers for the upscale 4-banger model. Have to wait to see how these look, but I have a bad feeling about it, judging from how the chrome cap base Malibus look. - Headlamps are now amber-less, like the corner lamps change on the 2007 Cobalt/Pursuit/G5s. - Looks like a new spoiler is replacing the current lip one on the sedans.
  20. Suffering from the same problem as the Aveo5... being ugly.
  21. Disagree on this one. The best one they got is a Turbo 2.8L that produces 280hp. The DI 3.6 seems a more natural fit since the regular 3.6L is in the Epsilons already. 2.0L Turbo Ecotec would be nice though. With 260hp it already beats the 2.4L in fuel economy. Imagine what can that thing do when it gets detuned a bit for more and 87 octane. Tune it in a way so that it slots between the base 2.4L and 3.6L, but if there is a DI 3.6L, it's a bit redundant.
  22. The GXP always had TAPshift. Anything but the base and SE models with 4-speed auto gets it.
  23. 23k... before GM Canada kicks in. I'm thinking up here we're looking at least 28k for a stripper V6, and I know very well it won't exist other than on the GM.ca website. Probably looking at least 32k with stealership markups and tacked on options/accessories.
  24. Your suggestion will attract PCS to make an angry post on how Pontiac should not get and will not get GME products. (Aside: I don't agree with "awkward" G6, it's easily one of the better looking in its class, and in fact the G6 doesn't replace the Grand Prix.)
  25. As much as you guys hate it, the first thing I saw was the Cruze... vs
