  1. A step closer to the Cobalt/Pursuit twins. I'm pretty sure the greenhouse will be the one on the Cobalt. Rims look like the one from the Pursuit GT media shot earlier. For some reason, I'm starting to see Mazda3 in the front. Import biased people will call this copying, and it might look dated by the time it makes to the showroom. I like this interior compared to the Cobalt one, although the HUGE vents on the sides look wierd.
  2. Actually I thought about the HHR as well, and it is on my shopping list. It's not bad for the price, but I sort of prefer driving a sedan than a wagon. And yes, Sixty8, you are right. That was exactly what I was thinking, not to mention the maintenance costs coming up.
  3. My family has always owned GMs, 1 Olds and 5 Chevys. My next car will be a Chevy or a Pontiac, and I just need people around me to quit asking me to buy import shitboxes.
  4. Am I the only one, or do I see a bit of Oldsmobile in the design?
  5. A good Cavalier wasted to crap rice culture :(
  6. I agree power locks and keyless entry should be standard. Even my base Cavalier has it. For the others, not sure. A/C? Why would you need it when you can open the top? I doubt you'd be driving it on a rainy and humid day anyways. I have it in my car but I hardly use it. Other power goodies? No. Adds weight. I've seen people swapping out power windows from their cars. Especially it's a performance and style-oriented roadster, I would say it's not needed. If you're looking for a more executive-look roadster, it's coming. It's called the Sky.
  7. I'm a bit concerned about the power liftgate for failures. I remember back in the old old forums, I put power trunk in my concept it was bashed. The look, I don't see why people that it shapes the same as the old one. OK, it's an SUV. It's supposed to be shaped like an SUV.
  8. Tell me: how often would you keep your car revving at that RPM?
  9. I only talk on the phone while driving with my headset. Clipping the phone between my head and my shoulder. It hurts and it's dangerous. I'm still fully aware of the road while I'm talking on the phone. I always hold out conversations when say like making a turn or something, because I watch for pedestrians and traffic. I balance my calls so that I'm talking when my car's actually stopped, or simpler yet, tell the caller that I'm driving and I'll call back. Although I myself has been a victim of people who yammer on their phone while driving. I almost had a bad accident last time because a bitch was talking on the phone and went straight into me. So I don't know. I'm in between banning and not banning.
  10. Broadband connections seriously depends on areas. I've used Rogers (Cable) and Sympatico (DSL) in different areas, with very different results. Here's partly what I've experienced for you to get the picture Rogers in North York (Rocks) Rogers in Markham (Like shit) Sympatico in Waterloo (Erb and Fischer Hallman) (Disconnections every day) Sympatico in Waterloo (Albert and Columbia) (Fastest connection yet) Just down the street gives a huge difference. I would say check with some people in your neighbourhood.
  11. It looks like a bad chop with the M45 as the original pic...
  12. Other than the Custom Cruiser, did Oldsmobile get a version of that B-Body?
  13. My notebook: My desktop's at home and the SSH session ain't working  BV: you still using Win9x?
  14. I think the spoiler's fine. Bimmer M3's taking that approach and people are accepting it. At least it's not the rice wing on the Coby SS...
  15. Best: Solstice/G6 Worst: SV6 Bland: Optra
  16. I don't like that MPV look at the back.
  17. No. This Buick appeared before the new Chevy lineup expanded. I think the original plan was for Buick to go mainstream, but now they have Chevy.
  18. I know the G6 isn't available with a stick. I'll stick to the automatic for that one. I don't really care about the performace as well, gas cost is more of a concern for me. I just thought the stick would be a fun addition to the other options beside 1 and 4. I'm sort of sick with an automatic.
  19. Scanning though the Pontiac page to drool over the G6, I spotted that they're using this as the catch phrase for the SV6: So they do admit that there's an appeareance problem with that van...
  20. OK, my Cavy's lease is up exactly one year later, and as to not make an uneducated purchase like my current Cavalier, I'm researching. I might even try to get out early, but the chance is quite slim. Here are the options I'm thinking of: 1) New Pontiac G6 4-cylinder /w ABS + ETS (maybe with sunroof as well B) ) 2) Used Olds Alero GX or GL, preferably 4-cylinder 3) New Chevy Cobalt LS / Pontiac Pursuit SE (Depending on which is a better deal) 4) Buyout my Cavalier for $7000 Option 1 would be the most expensive, but it's my favourite. Option 2 is viable, I always liked that car. My only concern is the mechanics of the car. I'm sure it'll be fun to stall on the 401 in the middle of winter. But if that's out of the way, I'm all for it as well. Option 3, well, it's more of my family's choice. They want me to get one, because it looks plain enough. But I'm personally against it, as I need room to move between Waterloo and Toronto. It's smaller than my Cavy. Option 4, it's just an option. I don't really want it, plus I don't think my Cavy is worth paying that much, given the possible problems down the road, although it ain't giving any at the moment. Buying new for me has the advantage of that I can go for the student deal (two months free), since I'm in university. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Plus I get full warranty and won't need to worry about car problems. I would mostly be doing highway driving, but during work terms I may drive to work as well. Also I'd also like to get a stick if possible, it's just more fun it seems. Although most of my family is against the idea, mostly because of winter driving. Although I don't think it would be that difficult when I force myself to drive safely. Which one should I go for? And should I seek to end my lease early?
  21. Not to hurt your feelings, but generally people seem to have a negative feeling about the N-body Grand Ams. It's almost synonym to "problems", like the Montana. At least that's what the mechanic told me last time when I got an oil change at the Pontiac dealer.
  22. Not Epsilon II, but I think Delta II should be considered though. Have Subaru develop an AWD system for the compact chassis, and imagine the ultimate Lancer EVO beater for Pontiac...
