  1. I see a bit of 99 Impala on the front, slightly smudged backwards near the top end. Anyone with me?
  2. I know some (rich) people who will buy Mercedes, Bimmers, Caddies even Volvos, but will never consider a Lexus or an Acura. I can justify calling them premium brands, but not quite luxury.
  3. That's a very bold statement... It's still a while till the car is officially revealed. In the newspaper article, I see they took the Aristo (i.e. previous gen GS) and warmed the design a bit.
  4. As I previously mentioned in Ted's thread, the 95-99 Monte is a Lumina coupe. They shared everything from engine to chassis and interior. They just brought the name back for some reason. Remember the Lumina LTZ? It was essentially a Lumina with an upgraded powertrain and the Monte front and back.
  5. I guess you are wrong with the Mazda scheme, Fly. The cars are actually called 3, 6, etc. They are just badged that way on the actual car. In most countries they didn't even get the original NA names such as Protege. They just retained the 323, 626, etcetera. I think previously for Mazda only NA and Japan the cars had actual names. Although it would be interesting if Mazda unified to use the names, e.g. 3 -> Axela 6 -> Atenza MX-5 -> Roadster And so on... I don't get why they use different names for different markets in the first place... *cough* Lacrosse... who cares about Quebec... *cough*
  6. Seriously, I never considered them to be. They are just like what a Sunfire is to a Cavalier, back in GM's earlier years. Plushier, more expensive. That's all. Maybe sometimes a little bit of nifty feats. But that's about it.
  7. Could it be a bad switch? You might want to post in the Tech Questions section instead...
  8. But hey... I thought you said it's a "Random Thread"...
  9. It's a 2-in-1 kit. It comes with both the base model and the GT model. Iron Duke or V6.
  10. http://cgi.ebay.ca/1988-88-PONTIAC-FIERO-G...1QQcmdZViewItem 1988. It ain't no Formula, but it's a GT :P
  11. It looks like GM Canada is taking a completely different theme approach than the US website. US website is using black with stars, and Canada is using white with hexagons, which seemingly resemble the grille pattern. And saw this as well: Very nice stance, it's really growing on me. The original press release pics just made me :puke:
  12. How about this one? Stutz Blackhawk - Grand Prix Based
  13. First they copied Pontiac. Now Buick? (Full length taillights)
  14. But hey... they have the right to say "the production model will be exactly the same as the concept" :P
  15. Go back to WinMX. They're back, with a twist. If you look up some sites you'll find the way to get it working.
  16. For the oil plug... It's like I only took my car to dealers for oil changes. Why would I ever have to be responsible for it? As for the survey, isn't it only if I performed warranty service that I get the survey? At least that's what I remember the survey said.
  17. Well anyways, it's definitely going to be my first time and my last time with that dealer. They're not going to get my deal for my next car either. I feel like being a nice guy, and let the guys have their lousy job for a bit longer.
  18. I don't mind the 8 bucks, and definitely I'm going back to the Chevy dealer. I just wanted to see the Solstice as well... Just that I wanted to know if it was legit or fishy.
  19. Royal and Sun Alliance, Facility Association. I'm not accepted in any other company, young driver. Probably a switch next year.
  20. I took my car to an oil change at a PBG dealer in Waterloo today. It was my first time there, since my usual Chevy dealer's fully booked. OK. I had to do a tire rotation, oil and lube, and a 15-point. They told me to check the air filter as well. So I figured, I got my car for 3 years, why not. At the end, they told me I needed a new air filter, so I said go ahead. Then they told me the oil plug was damaged as well, they couldn't screw it back on, and they want 8 bucks from me for a new one. I told them I had warranty, and they told me it's not covered. OK fine, I paid them 8 bucks to put on a new one. I thought something doesn't seem right. I asked them to give me the broken parts back. The guy gave me a dirty look, and sort of taunted at me: "Do you want the engine oil back as well?" At the end, I got the oil filter, the air filter back. No oil plug. I now have these questions: 1. Do I need a new air filter if I had my car for 3 years and only 40k kms? 2. How did they hold the oil in my car and then figure out the plug's damaged? By the sound of things they did the oil change already. 3. Is the oil plug thing they mentioned supposed to be covered by warranty? I have 1 year GMPP extended on my car. 4. If this IS fishy, is there a way for me to complain?
  21. I don't know, but I actually got to see two Solstices in person today. My friend pointed out to me the door panels, and the plastic they use. It is hard, and the touch is wierd. It's still better than the Cavalier's though. I see the edge of the door panel as well, and I mean the edge where the plastic piece was trimmed and moulded. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing it. I don't know what domestic bashing people will say about it.
  22. Oil change at the dealer, saw 2 Solstices. Couldn't sit in them because they were sold. Although... One of them the top was down. My only gripe about it, the door panel is HARD PLASTIC, although much better than my Cavalier, but you can still see the edge of the plastic popping out. My friend (who has a Mazda3) pointed it out to me. And surprisingly, the G6 seems to have better materials.
  23. Yeah... The cheesy "wood dash" stuff you get on eBay...
  24. Wood and G6 doesn't mix. Even GM shouldn't be offering it. BRUSHED METAL, PLEASE!
